"Listen, I know the streets are calling, but you must find a way to rise above it." Netflix has released an official trailer for a new biopic film titled Roxanne Roxanne, which first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017. Roxanne Roxanne tells the true story of New York rapper and musician "Roxanne Shanté" Gooden, who at only the age of 14 became one of the first female MCs in the rap world. Newcomer Chante Adams plays Roxanne Shante, and the full cast includes Nia Long, Mahershala Ali, Elvis Nolasco, Kevin Phillips, Shenell Edmonds, and Adam Horovitz. This seems like a great follow-up and the East Coast answer to the film Straight Outta Compton, telling a very different story of a badass young Mc from Queens. I don't remember hearing much about this at Sundance, but it seems like it's worth a watch anyway. Here's the official trailer for Michael Larnell's Roxanne Roxanne,...

Birthday shoutouts! Anna Wintour is 62, Roseanne is 59, and Adam Ant is 57. He's best known for his '82 hit "Goody Two Shoes," but I prefer his '84 miss "Strip."
Is Jennifer Lopez going to star in the live-action film version of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? More importantly, will Rockapella be involved? Four more cast members of One Life To Live are joining the online version. Tuc Watkins (David), Josh Kelly (Cutter), Florencia Lozano (That Bitch Tea Delgado), and Shenell Edmonds (Destiny) will be making the move next year. Woo-Hoo! Robert Pattinson is starring in a Bel Ami movie! Oh wait. Sorry. He's starring in a movie called Bel Ami. Kirk Cameron is an idiot. But that scruff looks good.
Below you can see Jimmy Kimmel have a "nice-off" with Ellen. Two hosts enter ... one host leaves!

Chris Brown‘s career comeback reached a new high on Tuesday when the singer was nominated for six Bet awards!
Chris Brown has worked endlessly to rebuild his reputation after pleading guilty to felony assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and HollywoodLife.com thinks it’s about time the public shifts the focus back to his music! The singer is already getting accolades for his hard work at making a comeback — he even scored six Bet award nominations for his new album! Chris’s “Look at Me Now” will be pitted up against Rihanna’s work with Drake on “What’s My Name” for Best Collaboration!
Chris’ F.A.M.E. album earned #1 earlier this year, but the singer hit a set-back after losing his cool on Good Morning America in March when the interviewer tried to steer the conversation back to his assault charges. We hope the six Bet award...
