Joseph and Minnie Canfield will be dealing with a challenging family situation in When Calls the Heart Season 11.
The couple and their two kids, Angela and Cooper, are at the center of life in Hope Valley. Since the Canfields arrived in town in season 8, Minnie has taken over running the cafe, while Joseph has stepped into a key role as Hope Valley’s pastor. Both are always on hand to provide a sympathetic ear and words of wisdom when someone is having a tough time. But they may be the ones needing support in coming episodes, actors Viv Leacock and Natasha Burnett teased in a recent interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

If you think it's an absolute pleasure to watch Paul Campbell on screen, you can imagine how open and engaging he can be during a chat.
We had such a pleasure when we jumped on the phone with Paul to talk about Magic in Mistletoe, in which he stars with Lyndie Greenwood about a beloved author who makes a PR mistake that demands the services of a professional to set things straight.
The following conversation with this delightful man gave my facial muscles a real workout. I hope you find the same joy in reading it as it prepares you to encounter an entirely new character from one of our favorite actors.
Tell me, why Magic in Mistletoe? What did you love about it?
[chuckles] Well, I guess there are two parts to that question. The why is I didn't really get a choice necessarily. I was offered the movie. I...

The set of Fox’s Sleepy Hollow had “grueling” working conditions, confusion and “creative floundering” among its leadership, and disparate treatment between its white male and Black female lead, according to Burn It Down.
The Hollywood exposé from Maureen Ryan, published by HarperCollins and which hit shelves on Tuesday, alleges that Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison — who played detective Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane, respectively — “did not want to have a whole lot to do with each other,” according to one source who worked on the show, allegedly resulting in Mison’s character’s famous “courtly” bow, because the co-stars did not want to hug each other.
That also allegedly translated to their onscreen narratives, according to showrunner Clifton Campbell, who told Ryan that Mison and Beharie “believed that the relationship between the characters should not evolve into a romantic relationship,” despite fan calls for one. (Neither Beharie nor Mison commented for the book.

As everyone knows by now, Hallmark networks have been tackling different kinds of content, and this year, we're treated to a look at Kwanzaa with Holiday Heritage.
Brooks Darnell stars alongside Lyndie Greenwood and Holly Robinson Peete as Griffin, the mayor of a small town who helps a local family and his ex-girlfriend celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa.
We spoke with Brooks about starring in the movie and so much more.
I read up on you and discovered that despite your acting talent being recognized early, you went to school for pre-med on a football scholarship.
Yes, I did. Unfortunately, because let me tell you, that's a lot of work. And I have two younger brothers who actually have two degrees each. And that was kind of the thing in our family, was it's not enough to have a bachelor's degree.
You have to have a master's or a Ph.D.

With The Expanse season 4 coming in December, the latest trailer reveals much about the possibilities for life beyond the Ring.
The Expanse season 4 will be coming to Amazon, which has made a deal with Alcon Entertainment to continue the series for a fourth season and beyond. The move is one that was hoped for and in many cases expected by fans and those within Alcon given its overwhelming critical success and its consistent ratings on Syfy, which chose not to continue to distribute the series.
“We couldn’t be more excited that The Expanse is going to continue on Amazon Prime," Alcon Entertainment Co-Founders and Co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said in a press release. "We are deeply grateful that Jeff Bezos, Jen Salke, and their team at Amazon have shown such faith in our show. We also want to thank Laura Lancaster, head of Alcon Television for her tireless efforts.

The director told If he and his wife Virginia Duigan were halted at the Us-Canadian border at the Great Lakes last month and refused entry.
Their .crime.? Beresford and Duigan had visited the Fajr Film Festival and Market in Tehran in 2014, where the director served on the jury.
When he applied last December for the Esta (Electronic System Travel Authorisation), which enables Aussies to visit the Us without a visa for up to 90 days, he did not note that he had been to Iran because he did not realise the country was on the banned list imposed by President Trump.
When he asked a border official what would have happened if he had declared the visit to Iran, he was told the Esta would have been refused.

Fox has cancelled Sleepy Hollow after four seasons.
The supernatural drama starring Tom Mison has endured a long, sad decline following its ratings and critical success in season 1. The show declined in viewership through seasons 2 and 3 before losing its co-lead Nicole Beharie at the end of season 3. Most of the show's remaining fan base went with her.
Fox attempted to reboot the drama for season 4 with the show moving to Washington D.C. and Janina Gavankar coming on as a costar alongside Mison and Lyndie Greenwood. Oona Yaffee joined the cast as kid Molly, Ichabod's new "Witness" partner in the fight against the oncoming apocalypse. As you might have guessed, a show called Sleepy Hollow that is no longer even in Sleepy Hollow anymore was a steep sell — even without the awkwardness of Beharie's departure.

By mid-May, the broadcast networks must make some tough calls as to which series will return for the 2017-18 TV season, and which… won’t.
As that deadline draws near, TVLine is singling out a few “bubble” shows and sizing up their prospects — based in large part on creative strides (and stumbles) and future potential, but also with a requisite nod to cold, hard numbers.
Next up is Fox’s revamped supernatural drama.

That’s the gist of Sleepy Hollow‘s Season 4 premiere, the first time we see Ichabod Crane fight the apocalypse without his biblically foretold partner, Abbie Mills. In the wake of Abbie’s unexpected death at the end of last season, Crane is in a strange place (Washington, D.C.) with a team of strangers (including cast addition Janina Gavankar) and a lethal enemy — although he doesn’t know about that last part yet.

There’s no rest for the wicked — and even less for those who try to stop them — in Sleepy Hollow‘s upcoming season, according to series star Tom Mison.
In the exclusive sneak peek above, Mison gives a quick refresher on the revamped drama’s new direction (Ichabod’s now the head of a secret, Washington, D.C.-based organization “set up to fight the supernatural”) as we watch the Revolutionary War captain and new partner Diana (played by True Blood‘s Janina Gavankar) come face-to-face with the aforementioned undercover collective… which just looks like a couple of nerds hanging out in a giant library.

New setting, new cast, new look.
Sleepy Hollow returns on Friday for its fourth season, and there will be sweeping changes following the shocking death of Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie). The supernatural drama moves the action from Sleepy Hollow, New York to Washington, D.C., introducing several key characters as a result, including new female lead Janina Gavankar, a genre regular who will play Homeland Security Agent Diana Thomas.
But don’t expect Abbie 2.0. As Gavankar -- who has a knack for joining shows in their fourth seasons (see: The L Word, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood) -- tells Et ahead of the premiere, Diana will be markedly different and most importantly, she isn’t meant to “replace Abbie.” “Even though Abbie’s not physically there, she’s still part of the fabric of the show,” Gavankar, 36, maintains.

Back when it debuted, it looked like Fox might have a hit with Sleepy Hollow. It had a strong debut but the ratings got worse and worse over the course of its first two seasons. In the spring, network execs renewed it for a third season, despite the fact that the ratings were down about 40% year-to-year. They then scheduled it on Thursday nights, a notoriously competitive evening for television. Could the numbers possibly rise this season or will they drop lower? Does Fox care anymore? (Do viewers?) Cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.
