With Brendan Fraser amid one of the best comebacks in recent history, thanks to The Whale, now is an excellent time to look back at some of his earlier, more underrated work. School Ties definitely qualifies. The story of a Jewish athlete facing anti-semitism at an exclusive prep school, the movie boasts an outstanding cast of Hollywood heavyweights, all of whom were not yet famous. Brendan Fraser, Cole Hauser, Chris O’Donnell and Matt Damon, as Fraser’s hateful antagonist, were all relatively new to the business. However, for Fraser, School Ties was actually his first feature, even though the quickly-shot the 1992 comedy Encino Man beat it to theaters. That film was a surprise smash, so by the time School Ties came out, Fraser was already a rising heartthrob.
While the movie was unfairly overlooked by many, it holds up well thirty years later. Fraser was fully formed as an actor,...

Let’s start with the good news to come out of Tuesday’s Stitchers season premiere: Cameron is alive!

Picking up immediately after his season-ending flatline, this week’s premiere began with an eleventh-hour revival of the movie-quoting neuroscientist — much to Kirsten’s uncharacteristic delight.
Now for the not-so-good news: Following the murder of Leslie Turner, Kirsten discovered that the head of the Stitchers program was keeping Ed Clark’s body in a frozen state to prolong his brain’s stitch-ability. To make things worse,...

In the previous episode of Stitchers, Kirsten got a little too invested in the team's latest case after she experienced traces of the victims' feelings for her husband. This worried Cameron, who continued to be concerned that Kirsten could wind up like Marta, the last stitcher. Meanwhile, Maggie lied to Kirsten about her connection to Ed Clark and Kirsten's mother, Camille and Linus grew closer and Marta awoke from her coma.
In the forth episode, "I See You," Kirsten and the team investigate the murder of Cameron's neighbor, hoping to discover if Cameron was the killer's real target. Meanwhile, Camille and Linus deal with the aftermath of their hookup, someone breaks into the lab and presumably that same someone watches Kirsten from a distance.
