Just when Barry thought he had Zoom beat, Zoom turned the tables once again. Next week, when Harrison Wells gets kidnapped by Griffin Grey, Barry has to save him sans Speed Force, which is much easier said than done. However, thankfully, it looks like he's going to get a big assist from Jesse Quick. Zoom scored a major victory over the Fastest Man Alive in tonight's episode of The Flash, and in this first look at what's to come in next week's instalment, we see that Barry Allen is forced to go into battle with Griffin Grey minus his powers. That's going to be quite the challenge, and based on what we see here, not one the hero will end up doing particularly well with! Thoughts on tonight's episode? The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning April 25th.
In Arrow, it sounds like some big twists could be on the way in regards to the fate of the Black Canary. While there’s a very, Very good chance that Laurel is indeed dead, it sounds like someone else may have already taken up the mantle. Has Sara returned, or could we be looking at an Earth-2 doppelgänger?
Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the team struggle to come to terms with Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) death, especially Diggle (David Ramsey) who is overwhelmed with guilt for choosing to believe Andy (guest star Eugene Byrd) had changed. Tuesday’s episode of The Flash will feature Barry Allen and Cisco paying a visit to Earth-2 with Dr. Harrison Wells, and The CW has today released the first official images depicting their journey. There are a lot of surprises in here, though the biggest has to be the appearance of Floyd Lawton. Better known as Deadshot, the Earth-1 version of the character was killed off in Arrow last year.

In terms of advancing the story with Harrison Wells and Earth-2, last night’s episode of The Flash was great. Something that many fans love about The Flash is that it has never shied away from its comic book roots and fearlessly treads into science fiction territories such as time travel or exploring alternate universes. Expect the series to provide a boatload of fan service when it once again crosses the multiversal barrier with February 9’s episode, which is titled “Welcome to Earth-2″ (try not hearing that spoken in Will Smith’s voice).
One of the most exciting aspects of said episode will see Robbie Amell return as Deathstorm, Earth-2’s villainous doppelganger to our beloved Firestorm. When Amell recently spoke at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey, he dropped this bombshell:
“In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you’ll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost. So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular. So there’s that, I...

While the first season of The Flash was all about time travel, the second has revolved around the concept of an alternate Earth. Of course, the Multiverse is something which DC Comics fans will be well aware of, but for TV viewers who may be new to the concept, it’s a good job that The CW are sticking to just the one extra world for the time being.
That is, of course, Earth-2, the reality that Jay Garrick, Zoom and the current Dr. Harrison Wells hail from.
Now, Team Flash will soon be paying it a visit, and the official description for “Welcome to Earth-2″ sheds some light on what we should expect from this instalment of The Flash:

The Flash, Season 2, Episode 3, “Family of Rogues”
Directed by John F. Showalter
Teleplay by Julian Meiojas & Katherine Walczak
Airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm (Et) on CW
While the first two episodes of this season focused on introducing Zoom and the concept of multiple worlds, The Flash takes a detour with “Family of Rogues,” an aptly named episode considering both the A and B plots this week are all about family. Lisa Snart shows up asking for Flash’s help in rescuing her brother Leonard, who was apparently kidnapped, and Joe’s long-lost, supposedly dead wife is back in town and wants to reunite with her daughter. Barry tracks down Leonard, who reveals that he is working with his father Lewis (Michael Ironside) against his will. It seems Lewis was not the ideal father figure, particularly to Lisa Snart, who we learn he physically abused as a child. Now he’s...

While the official synopsis for this episode of The Flash mentions only Captain Cold and the return of his father to Central City, the first clip from “Family of Rogues” confirms that the show will still be spending some time focusing on the mysteries of Earth-2. That’s where Jay Garrick hails from, and as you can see, Barry and the rest of team Flash have now made it their mission to both help him return and solve the mystery of Zoom.
Following the shocking last minute reveal in last week’s episode of The Flash that Harrison Wells is a beloved hero on Earth-2, you have to wonder whether this doorway being in S.T.A.R. Labs is going to somehow lead to him meeting up with the Scarlet Speedster, a moment which is sure to be very interesting considering the fact that the Earth-1 version was Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash in disguise.

Season two of The Flash has gotten off to a great start, and while the series has done an excellent job of bringing us up to speed with where the main characters are, much of the focus has been on introducing new heroes and villains, like Jay Garrick and Zoom. However, next week’s instalment of the hit show will bring back fan-favourite villain Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
While he briefly appeared in the premiere as part of a dream sequence, this is the first time we’ll be seeing Cold since it was announced that he’ll be taking on a starring role in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. As a result, it’s going to be very exciting to see if this episode helps to set the stage for his appearance there in any way or if that’s being saved for the upcoming Arrow/The Flash crossover episode.

However, next week’s instalment of the hit show will bring back fan-favourite villain Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
