He spent much of his adolescence training as a performer in the Michael Chekhov technique for acting at PeachCraft Academy of Dramatic Arts, Creative Voice and Filmmaking which prepares students for careers in the arts and filmmaking.
Made his professional debut on stage at The Irish Repertory Theatre, New York City at age 14 in the Irish play titled 'Defender Of The Faith' directed by Ciaran O'Reilly.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Middlebury College with majors in English and Theatre.
Matt's first on-screen role was in 2006 at age 12 in an American commercial for Captain Crunch cereal.
