Andrew Garfield is one of the best film stars of this generation, who has always captivated his audience. Throughout his career, his work has been recognized and praised, as he consistently and dedicatedly displayed his passion for acting by taking on different roles in various genres of films. He first caught the attention of the public when he did a phenomenal job in David Fincher’s The Social Network.

Though Garfield has a ton of successful films in his stellar career, he is arguably best known for his portrayal of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man duology. His commitment to the role and his return in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home made fans launch a campaign to give the actor his much-needed third sequel to complete his trilogy. At one point in the new Apple TV+ miniseries The Big Cigar, Black Panther Party founder Huey P. Newton (André Holland) attends a party and recalls the time he and film producer Bert Schneider (Alessandro Nivola) tried to write a movie about his life, which would have starred comedian Richard Pryor (Inny Clemons). The key, Schneider explains: “If it’s gonna be a biopic, you have to choose a moment in Huey’s life that means something. Don’t just make it womb to tomb.”

Adapted from Joshuah Bearman’s 2012 Playboy article of the same name, The Big Cigar brings another piece of culture writing to mind: New York Times critic James Poniewozik’s “The Comfortable Problem with Mid TV.” The series has some visual panache, a lively soundtrack, a great cast, and an important story to tell. And it makes for a really good thumbnail on the Apple TV+ app. But The Big Cigar lacks the craft and conviction of the “great” shows and films it imitates. It’s good in places, bad in others, but mostly just mid.
The series follows Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton (André Holland) as he attempts to flee the U.S. before the feds can arrest him on a bogus murder charge. Without many allies to call on, Newton enlists the help of sympathetic, if slightly harebrained, movie producers Bert Schneider (Alessandro Nivola) and Stephen Blauner...

That sweet and innocent-looking friendly neighborhood Spider-Man guy from Marvel, who rampaged about spilling spoilers during interviews out of excitement, seems to be gone now. Looking at Tom Holland in the latest look for his Romeo & Juliet play seems a lot different than his usual happy-go-lucky ones. In fact, he feels completely different after witnessing him with his on-stage love interest for the play, Francesca Amewudah-Rivers.
Tom Holland in a still from The Devil All The Time.
However, fans aren’t clamoring in support of this duo, especially for their pairing up for the stage as the iconic couple from Shakespeare’s lore. This comes after the first look images of Holland and Amewudah-Rivers as their respective characters were released, which, unarguably, have been garnering quite a bit of sarcastic and terribly negative reviews and backlash from fans.

Match #1: Sol Ruca def. Izzi Dame The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The first entrant into the Nxt Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at Nxt Battleground was determined when Sol Ruca and Izzi Dame went toe-to-toe for the honor. Ruca looked to use her aerial attack but took a hard fall to the outside before Dame chucked her onto the announce table. In the world of comic book movies, there has never been a stranger relationship than the one between Jon Watts and Spider-Man. One of the most critically as well as commercially favored and strongest IPs of Marvel Comics, Spider-Man’s entry into the MCU was placed in the hands of a creator with the strangest IMDb credits under his directorial section.
Known for directing music videos, shorts, a claymation movie, and television series, Watts couldn’t have been placed at a more substantial position and with a more high-risk, high-reward IP than directing Spider-Man’s first debut under the Marvel banner after the controversial 12-year-long saga at Sony.

Andrew Garfield was cast as the second iteration of Spider-Man in Sony’s reboot of the film franchise. He made his debut as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man and also reprised his role in the sequel. While a planned third film was canceled after the sequel’s less-than-stellar performance, Garfield is still loved as the web crawler.
Garfield was replaced by Tom Holland in the MCU, and the star had followed up Tobey Maguire’s legendary performance when he was cast in the reboot. The actor had to compete with other Spider-Men when all of them appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, Garfield seemed to have a healthy attitude towards comparisons with other actors.

It was a night of surprises at the BAFTA TV Awards, with “The Crown” and “Black Mirror” failing to pick up any awards while “Succession” walked away with only one for Matthew Macfadyen for best supporting actor.
Macfadyen did not attend the awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall, prompting Helena Bonham Carter, who presented the category, to walk off with the iconic gold BAFTA mask with the promise she would get it to Macfadyen.
The international category also saw upset, with frontrunners “Succession,” “Beef” and “The Bear” all failing to win the award. They were instead beaten by little-known French series “Class Act.” It was a fact acknowledged by the show’s shocked lead actor Laurent Lafitte, who, upon accepting the award, told the audience: “Please watch our show. It’s called ‘Class Act,’ it’s quite good — not just because I’m starring in it.”

Young Sheldon’s antepenultimate episode featured a surplus of callbacks and Big Bang Theory Easter eggs — from Sheldon beginning his ritual of knocking three times before he enters a room, to Missy alluding to Sheldon finding a “smart, weird girlfriend” out in California, to which Sheldon scoffed, “I have a girlfriend and her name is Science.”
There was also a plethora of returning characters, including King Kong Comics patron Nate (played by theme song composer/performer Steve Burns), Medford High faculty members Mr. Givens (Brian Stepanek) and Ms. Hitchens (Sarah Baker) and — last but not least — Sheldon’s childhood bestie...

Spoiler Alert: The following interview discusses events from the “Young Sheldon” episode “A New Home and a Traditional Texas Torture,” streaming on Paramount+ as of May 10.

In the final moments in the second of two episodes airing back-to-back on May 9, the Cooper family received word that curmudgeon patriarch George Cooper (Lance Barber) had died of a heart attack.
The fate of George dying at this point in Sheldon Cooper’s journey does goes back to the “The Big Bang Theory,” on which we learned that adult Sheldon lost his father at the age of 14. That’s the current age of prodigy Sheldon (Iain Armitage) in the prequel series, and while producers had said this...

Lee didn’t miss a beat in his return using his athleticism and his speed to disorient the much bigger Briggs, but he still took a couple of major hits from his bruising opponent. The former dominant North American Champion finally regained control before hitting a corkscrew moonsault and earning the win in his return.

As Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios continue their search for a director to take over from Jon Watts on Spider-Man 4, a new rumor is claiming that both studios may be in agreement on a filmmaker to take the helm of the highly-anticipated No Way Home sequel.

Director Jon Watts stepped up to direct the three solo Tom Holland Spider-Man films that were wildly successful at the box office. The Home-trilogy was a perfect three-part story for Holland’s Spider-Man as he evolved from a young bubbly teenager to learning his responsibilities and dealing with a profound loss.
Jon Watts’ Home-trilogy ended on a high note with 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home
Watts delivered a much bigger and character-driven film with the trilogy than previous Spider-Man films. However, most fans did not find a distinctive visual style and flair that the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb’s films had. While many agree that Watts did a great job with his trilogy, the change of director for the 4th installment is a welcome change for some.

‘Green Border’ Trailer: Agnieszka Holland’s Urgent New European Refugee Crisis Drama Arrives in June
Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland is one of the greats. A three-time Academy Award nominee—1990’s “Europa Europa,” 1993’s “Angry Harvest” and the Holocaust drama “In Darkness”— Holland is also known for her celebrated prestige TV work, particularly on the David Simon series’ “The Wire,” and “Treme” and shows like “The Killing,” and “House Of Cards.” But her best-known feature work has always leaned towards social justice and socially-conscious dramas, which brings us to her latest, “Green Border,” an bracing portrait of Europe’s refugee crisis that has been hailed as a “humanitarian masterpiece.”

London- and Paris-based production, finance and sales outfit Film Constellation has boarded international sales on Titus Kaphar’s drama “Exhibiting Forgiveness.”

Tom Holland has played Spider-Man in multiple MCU films over the years and the actor has become synonymous with the character. From his scene-stealing debut in Captain America: Civil War to the epic Spider-Man: No Way Home, the character has evolved significantly through his appearances.

Spider-Man had a big role in Avengers: Infinity War, with his introduction being one of the highlights of the film. Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man series may not have ended in a trilogy, but it surely won a lot of hearts for his portrayal of Peter Parker. There are not a lot of Marvel heroes with a tragic story like the beloved webhead, but he still manages to smile through the clouds of sorrow.
Something that every Spider-Man tale has in common, other than his suffering, is that he is an orphan, having lost both his parents at a young age. Not much is known about them through the films, just that they were scientists and worked for a secret organization. However, a deleted scene from Tasm 2 changes a lot of things.
Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The alternate ending, if kept, would have softened the heartbreaking blow Peter received when Gwen Stacy died and would have given him the much-needed motivation to wear his iconic mask back once again.

Femi proved his championship mettle by withstanding a Doomsault by sticking his right foot on the rope, forcing the break. Ivar went for another Doomsault...

Two of the most famous characters Audrey Hepburn ever played were Eliza Dolittle and Maid Marion. In StudioCanal’s new 4K restoration home entertainment release of The Lavender Hill Mob, Audrey Hepburn shares her first film with Stanley Holloway, who played Eliza’s father in My Fair Lady, and Robert Shaw, who played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin & Marion. There are any number of actors who could have taken on the role of Dr. Otto Octavius in 2004's Spider-Man 2, but Sam Raimi made a somewhat unlikely choice with Alfred Molina. However, it would prove to absolutely be the right one.
The actor made Doctor Octopus his own and, even two decades later, his Doc Ock is still considered one of the best comic book supervillains to ever grace the screen.
In a recent interview, Molina reflected on his career and admitted he was surprised to be considered seeing as he was best known at the time for his roles in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark and Frida.
"It was a big surprise to me, because it's not the kind of movie that I imagined myself to be qualified for. You always think of these big action films as [casting] physical types, and I've definitely never been that.

It looks like CBS canceling Young Sheldon didn’t just frustrate the show’s fans. It seems that it also took many of the cast members by surprise. Annie Potts, who plays Meemaw on Young Sheldon, said the cancelation “ambushed” the entire and she calls it a “stupid business move.”
Here is what Annie Potts said about the show’s cancelation and if this is the least we will see of Meemaw.

The MCU has a lineup of upcoming movies, despite Marvel Studios facing challenges with recent projects. There’s been discussion about reducing the number of releases, as fans are growing weary of lower-quality shows and movies. However, Spider-Man continues to be a major draw, consistently delivering profits for Marvel, regardless of the medium.
In the MCU specifically, Spider-Man has had three standalone movies, with a fourth one in the works. This was confirmed months ago by producer Amy Pascal. The sequel’s development was paused during the WGA Strike but has since resumed. In this guide, we’ll summarize everything we know about the upcoming Spider-Man movie.
The plot could either explore the Multiverse or take a street-level direction
‘Spider-Man 3’ introduced the Multiversal theme that the rest of the franchise is now exploring, and although the movie was well-received, there’s been speculation that Feige has different plans for the upcoming installment.

MCU has quite a slate of movies coming up, even though Marvel Studios has hit a rough patch with the last couple of projects. There have been talks about releasing fewer projects, as fans are definitely becoming tired of shows and movies of lower quality; still, if one character always managed to drag people to movies, it’s Spider-Man, by far the most profitable Marvel franchise, no matter the product you’re looking at.
So far, talking about the MCU specifically, Spider-Man has three standalone movies and a fourth on the way. This was confirmed several months ago by producer Amy Pascal, who confirmed that the work on the sequel has been ongoing but stopped due to the solidarity with the ongoing WGA Strike at the time. Now that the development of the movie is back on, we decided to summarize everything we know about it in this comprehensive guide.

Though we're still waiting on an official announcement, we know plans are in place for a fourth Spider-Man movie, with stars Tom Holland and Zendaya set to reprise their respective roles.
After appearing in the previous three movies and playing quite an integral role in No Way Home, one would assume Peter Parker's pal Ned Leeds will also factor into the story, but actor Jacob Batalon says he's still waiting on the call.
"I mean, I would hope so," The Tarot star told The Direct when asked if he's set to return for the untitled No Way Home follow-up. "I think just with anyone who's worked for Marvel knows that you kind of just like wait for a call. Maybe it does [happen], maybe it doesn't. But it's something that you definitely can't hope and wait for. You just like, you will wake up one day to a call at like...

If there’s one hero comic book writers love to torment the most, it has to be the friendly neighborhood superhero Spider-Man. There’s barely anyone else who is down on their luck more often than the web-crawler, and still, he manages to smile and keeps going on.
However, there are times when even the most hopeful of Marvel heroes can get crushed to the point where he loses his mind, and that is one of the possibilities that can be adapted by Sam Raimi, if he ever returns for Spider-Man 4.

Especially after the multiverse saga, the possibility of adapting an alternate universe story from some of the darker versions of Spider-Man is very real. And given Raimi’s expertise in dealing with horror and dystopia, it can turn out to be really good!

If you were a kid growing up in the ’80s, one thing was true. Video games were the spawn of Satan. Okay, we know that isn’t true. But our parents? Adults were terrified of your Atari and your Nintendo, and filmmakers made all sorts of movies that painted games in a negative light. In Wargames a nuclear war was damn near started! While there were plenty of films that understood the imagination and the creative spirit that video games could foster, such as Tron and The Last Starfighter for examples, there’s also a film such as Cloak & Dagger, which goes to some really dark territory to teach a lesson to kids that, honestly, everyone could stand to learn.

Tom Holland and Zendaya have not only won our hearts as the beloved Spider-Man and Mj, but there is a possibility that they are weaving a romantic web of their own that might finally break the Spider-Man curse. Yes, the recent report claims that the couple is currently talking about getting hitched soon.
Isn’t it thrilling to imagine that the one Spidey pair to make the switch from on-screen chemistry to off-screen matrimony might be right before our eyes? Actress Zendaya and Tom Holland have reportedly been discussing marriage, according to a source. “There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality,” a source told people.com.
The two met while filming their trilogy of Spider-Man movies together. Since then, they’ve kept their off-camera romance private.
“They are not the kind of stars who put their lives out there on social media for the most part,” explained the source.
“Both are private,” said the source, who added that the attention on them while in the public eye “has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”
Zendaya’s film ‘Challengers’ is set to release, and Holland, who stars in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ on London’s West End in May.
“Work is important to both, and that keeps them busy now,” added the source.

With Zendaya’s new tennis movie, Challengers, dropping on Friday, fans couldn’t help but notice the Peter Parker lovers to tennis players pipeline of the three Spider-Man actresses. Zendaya’s role as a tennis player in Challengers follows Kirsten Dunst’s Lizzie Bradbury in Wimbledon and Emma Stone’s Billie Jean King in Battle of the Sexes. However, fans find that tennis is not the only thing common between them, as all three of them dated their Spider-Man co-stars.

Sam Raimi has been one of the biggest fan picks when it comes to helming for the MCU, and the Spider-Man trilogy he helmed for Tobey Maguire’s superhit saga is one of the major reasons why. Not only does the filmmaker have incredible ideas for his projects, but his mere creative way of operating while working is what sets him apart from all the other masterminds in Hollywood.

This stands even stronger after Raimi recently, once again, shared his plans for a fourth film of Maguire’s iconic web-slinger, leaving fans more impressed than ever before. If anything, this latest pitch of his just proves that not only does he deserve to make another Peter Parker film with Maguire, but also that he is quite literally the best man Marvel can hire for the job.

André Holland takes on the role of revolutionary Huey P. Newton in the trailer for Apple TV+’s The Big Cigar.
Far from a straight biopic about the founder of the Black Panther Party, the six-episode limited series based on Joshuah Bearman’s magazine article of the same name delivers the high-impact energy of a heist as it tells the story of how Newton escaped the FBI and fled to Cuba with the help of famed Hollywood producer Bert Schneider (played by Alessandro Nivola) in perhaps the most ambitiously staged and fake movie production of all time.
“You’re the hot-shot producer, man, produce this,” Newton tells Schneider as they begin to cook up an elaborate plan to help the political activist evade a murder charge, as police attempt to pin him for the death of a 17-year-old sex trafficking victim in 1974.

Tom Holland is the current face of Spider-Man, although he stands on the shoulders of others who came before him, including Tobey Maguire. The actor is an integral part of the MCU, and he quickly became a favorite among comic book lovers. His natural athleticism allows him to pull off stunts very easily.
However, before Holland, Maguire performed his own stunts too. Back when he played the webbed superhero in Sam Raimi’s films, the actor filmed some of the most jaw-dropping scenes ever seen on the big screen. The BTS footage shows the work Maguire put in to execute them to perfection.

Though he's been primarily at the third annual Sands International Film Festival to A) promote Last Call the short film directed by hi brother Harry in which he stars and B) play golf, Tom Holland can never quite escape the shadow of Spider-Man. Not that he wants to (see his initial comments below). But when Deadline asked him about the future of the web-slinger, he admitted that all involved were being careful with the development of the fourth film, so as not to short-change what happened in 2021's successful Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Holland, though was clear that he's still happy to be Peter Parker: "The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films," Holland says. "I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more."
But, according to him, there is also a more complicated answer.
