Exclusive: BET+ is gearing up for the second season of Tyler Perry’s Bruh. The 19-episode dramedy returns for Season 2 on Thursday, May 27 with three episodes at launch, then moving a to a weekly rollout every Thursday thereafter. Shawn Vaughn (This is 20), Quei Tann (How To Get Away With Murder), Liz Lafontant (The Oval) and Ebony N. Mayo (Star) have been added as recurring cast, joining stars Barry Brewer, Mahdi Cocci, Phillip Mullings Jr., Monti Washington, Chandra Currelley, Candice Renée and Alyssa Goss, who return to reprise their roles. Ray Hughes Management has rebranded as Rhm and has brought aboard Kevin Kitsis as the company’s newest talent manager. The boutique talent management company announced its rebranding and Kitsis’ hire on Thursday.
Coming to Rhm from APA, Kitsis will help build out the company’s acting division and service the roster in additional areas including digital, brand entertainment, podcasting, publishing and more.
Among Kitsis’ clients are Hannah Alline, Chase Anderson, Mahdi Cocci and Brock O’Hurn (Euphoria).

After just three airings, Tyler Perry‘s The Oval has proven such a success for Bet that the network has ordered a spinoff for its streaming service, our sister publication Variety reports — and even faithful fans of the over-the-top series may be surprised by which storyline the new show will focus on.
The spinoff, titled Ruthless, will follow the exploits of cult member Ruth (Melissa L. Williams), “as she’s forced to play nice with a scandalous religious cult of powerful sex-crazed fanatics in the hopes of freeing herself and her daughter,” according to the official logline.

Tyler Perry is expanding his partnership with Bet Network with two new series, “Bruh” and “Ruthless” for the network’s streaming service, Bet Plus, Variety has learned exclusively.
