Lucifer returns with the back half of its penultimate season on Friday, May 28 — and here to start getting you amped up for those eight new episodes (as well as the Netflix’s drama’s final season) is Og cast member Db Woodside.
Season 5A left off with Amenadiel and Lucifer (played by Woodside and Tom Ellis) throwing down against Michael and a jaded Maze (also Ellis, and Lesley-Ann Brandt) after time mysteriously “stopped” at the cop shop — and just as Chloe (Lauren German) was nudging Luci to say those three not-so-little words! The celestial clash was cut short, though, by...

Lucifer season 5A finally landed on Netflix last month, with the eight episodes ending on a whopping cliffhanger, as God himself (Dennis Haysbert) came down to Earth to stop his kids from fighting. Fans are desperate to see what happens next, then, but unfortunately, we’re a ways off from getting season 5B on the streaming site. The good news, though, is that filming is set to resume on the show very shortly. Later this month, in fact.
Work on season 5 was 95% done, according to exec producer Chris Rafferty, prior to production being shut down over the pandemic. With the TV industry cranking back up again, though, it’s been confirmed that Lucifer will be one of the first shows heading back to shoot. Warner Bros. Television is currently eyeing a start date of September 24th and the first job is to complete the second half of the season finale,...

Lucifer is on a roll. The long-awaited fifth season of the show recently debuted on Netflix and rocketed to the top of the charts, scoring the “biggest TV series opening weekend ever.” Critics and fans were happy, though the gigantic cliffhanger at the end of the half-season left everyone itching to find out what’s going to happen.
The first half of season 5 not only introduced us to Lucifer’s twin brother Michael, but eventually to God himself (as played by Dennis Haysbert). The Almighty turned up to intervene in the conflict between Michael and Lucifer, though we don’t know exactly where his loyalties lie. Introducing God into the show is a ballsy move, no doubt, but sadly, we didn’t have much time to get to know him before the credits rolled on the half-season.
Lucifer fans have gotten used to being patient, though many have started worrying...
