Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly's launch show for the new-look Daybreak has had a frosty reception from fans online. The duo began their tenure as hosts of the troubled ITV1 breakfast TV franchise yesterday (September 3), but fans have already begun calling for former presenters Dan Lobb and Kate Garraway to be reinstalled. Lobb and Garraway filled in as hosts of the show after original presenters Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley were axed in 2011. A huge number of viewers have taken to the Daybreak Facebook page to criticise the show's overhaul, which many have compared to previous ITV breakfast show GMTV. One viewer said: "It looks like TV-am threw up all over the Daybreak set, and then kidnapped the presenters of GMTV." Jenny Cheney wrote: "We want Dan and Kate back - it was a winning (more)...

Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones have made their debut as the new hosts of ITV1's Daybreak this morning (September 3). The pair took the relaunched breakfast show's sofa spots formerly held by Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb, who were themselves the temporary replacements for original hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, who presented their final edition last December after being axed the previous month. Jones opened the show by thanking viewers for choosing Daybreak, while Kelly described their arrival as "exciting" and likened the new-look studio to an "eternal summer". "It's like the first day back at school isn't it?" she added. "And you're thinking about things all the time and you're worried the alarm is not going to go off." Jones replied: "I had four alarms and I was checking (more)...
