Over a decade since his last directorial effort, director Gaurav Seth is back with what seems like an interesting sci-fi thriller.
Prisoner X stars Michelle Nolden as Carmen Reese, a CIA agent who arrives at a secret underground prison where she is to interrogate a captured terrorist thought to be tied to a number of attacks. Turns out he is one of a group of 98 time-travelling agents from the future with the rest still at large and ready to wreak havoc at any moment. Along with Nolden, the movie also stars Romano Orzari, Damon Runyan, and Julian Richings.
The concept of time-travelling terrorists seems to be a current fad - particularly on TV. "Continuum" recently wrapped its run while "Travellers" is currently preparing for season 2. I'm a fan of both of those shows, the [Continued ...]...

We have another busy week of Blu-ray and DVD releases to look forward to, with 20 different titles coming home on Tuesday. For those who may have missed it in theaters, Gore Verbinski’s wildly surreal tale of psychological horror, A Cure For Wellness, is coming out on both Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of 20th Century Fox. We also have several indie horror films arriving on June 6th, including The Axe Murders of the Villisca, Aaron’s Blood, Prisoner X, Let Me Make You A Martyr, and Manhattan Undying.
Fahrenheit 451, based on the classic Ray Bradbury story, is being resurrected on DVD in time for its 50th anniversary this week, and for those of you Riverdale fans out there, you might want to check out Mill Creek Entertainment's re-release (this time with digital) of Archie’s Weird Mysteries: The Complete Series.

Happy beginning of June, everyone! Now that summer is just about in full swing, we have a look at the horror and sci-fi VOD releases coming our way this month, in case you prefer to beat the heat from the comfort of your own couch while catching up on movies.
June’s VOD titles are an eclectic bunch, with a little bit of something for every kind of fan out there. The month kicks off with the release of the sleep paralysis thriller Be Afraid today, and then things pick back up on June 6th with a handful of titles making their way to digital platforms, including Aaron’s Blood, Dark Signal, Besetment, and one of my most anticipated indie movies of the year, Let Me Make You A Martyr, which co-stars Marilyn Manson.
