Modern Family is in its seventh season (and will go on for an eighth), and while the Pritchett and Dunphy families have made us laugh through all the years, they've also left us in disbelief. We're not talking about jaw-dropping plotlines; we're referring to how the show's kids have aged! Let's just say they're not kids anymore. Lily Tucker-Pritchett, Cam and Mitchell's adopted daughter, entered the show as a baby played by twins Jaden Hiller and Ella Hiller, but seven years later Modern Family needed a more grown up girl to play the part. Enter Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Lily is the only character to swap actors, but you can't help it when you start to...

When viewers tune in for the new season of Modern Family, they'll notice a new Lily in Cam and Mitchell's house, a.k.a. 4-year-old actress Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Aubrey replaces Jaden and Ella Hiller, the identical twin girls who played Lily for the Emmy-winning sitcom's first two seasons. The reason for the re-casting, a show source tells People, is because the Hiller twins didn't enjoy acting. When they were required to be in scenes, they became agitated and unhappy. In a nutshell, the girls just wanted to be kids, their mother, Michelle Hiller, tells People. "Ella and Jaden are enjoying new toddler adventures in swimming,...

A "Modern Family" character may be recast for the upcoming season.
The ABC comedy is looking for a new actor to play the part of Cameron and Mitchell's adopted daughter, Lily, currently played by twins Jaden and Ella Hiller.
"We adore Jaden and Ella, but have started to think that they'd rather be at home playing than working as actors," executive producer Steve Levitan told Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the story.
However, fans of the character - and the twins that play the little one - should know it's not a done deal.

A casting notice has been circulating around Hollywood, seeking a female .Asian, 3- to 4-year-old. to replace a character on Modern Family. By process of elimination, I have deduced that the character the show is replacing is Lily, Cameron and Mitchell.s adopted Vietnamese daughter. (Don.t ask me how. I just have a gift for these things.)
The character is played now by twins Jaden and Ella Hiller, who have been on-board since the pilot episode, and whose silent (but extremely cute!) reactions to the insanity that frequently unfolds around Lily has divided viewers. On the... More >>...

Modern Family's Cameron and Mitchell are going to undergo a tremendous amount of change in season three. Not only will they be adding to their family (as was suggested by the season-two finale), but there's some possibility that producers may recast the role of Lily (now played by twins Jayden and Ella Hiller) to bring in a chattier set of young actresses to actively play up the comedy of the preschool years! Plus, Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson revealed that Cam and Mitchell might not do an international adoption again (as they did with Lily). So what are they planning instead? Will Cameron and Mitchell adopt a child in season three? Jesse Tyler Ferguson: I don't think we will...

It has been revealed before that Mitchell of "Modern Family" used to hide his orientation as a teenager and his girlfriend back then would re-appear in his life. Mary Lynn Rajskub who has been hired to portray the gay-radar-less girlfriend made a trip to the set of the show to film her first scenes on Wednesday, October 13.
Rajskub, who was last seen on "24", arrived at The Grove in casual blue shirt and pants along with the show's regular cast members such as Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, twins Ella Hiller and Jaden Hiller, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson who plays Mitchell. The rest of the cast were not present.
Shortly later, Rasjkub changed outfit to pattern shirt and blue cardigan while tagging along shopping bags. On the other end, Cam and Mitchell walk together with their baby Lily in stroll. It looks like they would film a scene where they...
