Coldplay update George Orwell’s Animal Farm in the video for “Trouble in Town,” off their double LP Everyday Life, released last fall.
The band brings the satirical classic to the drug-addled streets of New York, where the city is plagued with homelessness and crime under the regime of a pig dictator (undoubtedly a nod to Trump). The 2020 Democratic debates are mocked as pig politicians argue at podiums on a television screen, which soon escalates into a fight.

Coldplay have released two new songs from their upcoming double album Everyday Life. One song, “Daddy,” is accompanied by an animated music video from Aardman Studios directed by Åsa Lucander, while the other, “Champion of the World,” comes with a stylized lyric video.
The “Daddy” clip was created through a combination of “live action puppetry, digitally painted sets and 2D animation,” according to a press release.
“I knew when I had the opportunity to pitch on this project that it was going to be a very special one,” Lucander said of the video.

Quite often, TV soundtracks are only mentioned when they're particularly bad. A clunking tune or wobbly composition can turn a beautiful, tense or dramatic TV moment and stink out the whole scene.
But what about the great soundtracks? The ones that make a good moment great. The tunes that give TV shows swagger. Digital Spy has picked out the 10 TV show soundtracks from 2013 that have rocked, helped us get our groove on or made us cry.
1. Peaky Blinders
The Brummie gangster drama, which ended this week, was beautifully shot, brilliantly acted and deliciously dark. The cherry on the top of the flat caps was the soundtrack. Tom Waits, the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and a hefty topping of the brilliant Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

The year 2013 has started moderately well with the release of some quality albums from bands such as Foals, The Courteeners and Frightened Rabbit. But we are still left waiting for that one album that truly blows everything else out of the water – that one album you can’t wait to hear live at a gig or festival. The answer to these hopes may well be answered in the Spring as four big artist’s gear up to release new records.

Chuck vs. the Music: Five Seasons of Great Tracks
The final episode of Chuck airs this Friday and this is an impressive achievement considering how close it came to cancellation during this period. Chuck clearly has a rabid fan base that has shown their devotion which led to this 5-year run. The Subway campaign was a good way to prove that despite low audience figures this show was worth keeping on the air and I definitely bought a sandwich or two.
For me though it would be far easier to measure my love for this show by the amount of tracks on iTunes that I have purchased after hearing them first on Chuck and I’m sure I’m not the only one. For some it is the pop culture references that made Chuck the charming show it is, for others it is the characters and while these two factors are incredibly important,...

BAFTA award winning director Niall MacCormick makes his feature length debut with Albatross: a nuanced, charming and veritably witty coming-of-age drama, penned by Tamzin Rafn – a budding new screenwriter.
The film tells the story of a frustrated author, Jonathan (Sebastian Koch), and the incendiary effect of the arrival of verbose would-be writer Emelia (Jessica Brown Findlay) on his family. Emelia first befriends and liberates his bookish daughter Beth (Felicity Jones), before going on to irritate his ever-frustrated wife, Joa (Julia Ormond), and finally bewitching Jonathan himself. Can Emelia shed the albatross that hangs around her neck and rewrite her personality?
Rafn’s nuanced screenplay opens as a freeloading, comical teenage drama, but slowly unravels into a highly intelligible, fully engaging and wonderfully articulate coming-of-age tale. Although the sexual relationship between Emelia and Jonathan is very much at the focus for the majority of the film, it actually plays as...

Broken Records hail from Scotland, which has produced two of the more anthemic indie-rock bands of the moment in Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad. The resemblance isn’t difficult to hear.
