Out of all the movies, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had arguably the most unpredictable and staggering chain of plot twists in its finale, rivaled only by The Half-Blood Prince. Between the Goblet being a portal, Cedric dying in an instant, Voldemort’s resurrection, and Moody having been a Death Eater all along, there’s a lot to unpack in this installment’s finale.
Especially, if you haven’t been too attentive throughout the movie.
Voldemort’s Return Wasn’t GoF’s Biggest Twist
We just mentioned four major plot twists from The Goblet of Fire’s finale, but only one of them was genuinely shocking. We knew that something was seriously off with Harry’s participation in the Triwizard Tournament; we knew that Voldemort would be back at some point, so why not then; and we hadn’t known Cedric for long enough to have any idea of his life expectancy,...

After streaming platforms became as popular as they are now, it became clear that the age of the standard cable network TV format was over. Shows have become much shorter as the wait between seasons has become much longer, regardless of genre or ratings.
With the recent WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes that took place in the summer of 2023, the production schedule for any studio has become a mess. Now, however, it's rewarding to see the shows we love overcoming any difficulties the circumstances created and getting back on track.
Sandman Season 2 Premiere Date
Luckily for fans of The Sandman, updates on season two are now closer than ever, as the show's team has taken another important step and completed the casting process. season two was always going to introduce three more newcomers, all three children of the Endless Family that viewers have yet to meet.

Netflix finally unveiled an official teaser for the second season of The Sandman yesterday, and it featured a first glimpse of Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny, and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal.
Though we did get to see Delirium's face, her full visage was somewhat obscured, and this new behind-the-scenes photo gives us a better look at the Hanna star in-costume as the youngers of The Endless.
In Neil Gaiman's comics, Delirium is the current manifestation of the being that started out as Delight. The character is a little... mixed up, but is loyal to her family and proves to be an invaluable ally to Dream during the events of "Brief Lives."
Check out the photo below along with yesterday's teaser.

When Netflix revealed that it was planning to come forth with an adaptation of DC Comics’ The Sandman, people were excited. While many were elated, there were some who had doubts about the project. But the series, which aired in 2022, proved them all wrong. It was a critical success, managing to bring to life a host of the fabled Endless on screen. And the new season will witness the introduction of 3 new members of the Endless.

With each Endless being in-charge of a specific domain, and with each having sovereignty in their domain, they are characters who can hold their own.

The Prodigal is finally set to return.
Throughout the first season of The Sandman, viewers met not only Dream a.k.a. Morpheus (Tom Sturridge), but also his siblings, known as the Endless. The mopey Dream gets a pick-me-up from his cheery sister Death (Kirby), while dealing with the machinations of the duplicitous twins Desire (Mason Alexander Park) and Despair (Donna Preston).
But readers of the cult comic book series by Neil Gaiman know that the Netflix adaptation left other members of the Endless off screen. But according to a casting announcement, the rest of the family will be dropping by for season two.
Esmé Creed-Miles of the Amazon Prime Video series Hanna will play the playful younger sister Delirium, while Adrian Lester, currently seen in the Disney+ show Renegade Nell, will don the cloak and chains of the mysterious Destiny.

The Endless have assembled!
Netflix has shared a brief teaser for the second season of The Sandman, reintroducing the members of The Endless we met during season 1, Dream, Death, Desire and Despair, while providing our first glimpse of Morpheus' remaining siblings, Destiny, Delirium, and "The Prodigal."
Esmé Creed-Miles will play the youngest of the Endless, Delirium, while Adrian Lester will take on the role of the all-seeing Destiny, and Barry Sloane will play The Prodigal.
Anyone who has read Neil Gaiman's comic series will know who this really is, and while it wouldn't seem like much of a spoiler to reveal the name, it's clearly something the show is choosing to keep under wraps for the time being.

Neil Gaiman’s amazing graphic novel series, The Sandman, gained a ton of fans since its debut back in the late 1980s, and they have been itching for the day they might see it brought to life on screen for many years. Wake up, fans of “The Sandman,” we’ve got some Season 2 news for you: The Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s epic graphic novel series has cast the final three siblings in the “Endless Family” of Tom Sturridge’s Dream — Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny and Barry Sloane as “The Prodigal.”
In “The Sandman” comic book series, The Prodigal is the estranged Endless sibling named Destruction, but Netflix has taken care to label Sloane’s role as “The Prodigal,” which is the way the character is referred to throughout the first volumes of the story. The three new castings point to “The Sandman” Season 2 covering the graphic novel’s iconic installment, “Season of Mists.”
The trio of new “The Sandman” Season 2 actors will join the Endless siblings returning from Season 1: Death (Kirby), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), Despair (Donna Preston) and Dream, The Sandman himself.

The second episode of “Interview with the Vampire” Season 2 introduced what fans of the Vampire Chronicles have been waiting for when Louis and Claudia finally crossed the threshold of the iconic Theatres des Vampires. The episode, titled “Do You Know What It Means To Be Loved By Death,” began with Louis and Armand co-narrating the memory of their first-ever meeting on the streets of postwar Paris and ended with Louis and Claudia’s quest to find more vampires at an end as not one, not two, but fourteen new vampires enter stage right and take their places in “Interview’s” story.
But who are all of these vampires? Where did they come from? And why are they using projection technology to trick live audiences into watching them drink people for real? These are many questions and in true “Interview” fashion, only some of them have answers.
What is the Theatres des Vampires?...

The season 1 finale of Marvel Studios' acclaimed animated series, X-Men '97, hit Disney+ this past Wednesday, and it's fair to say the events of "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3" left us with a lot to discuss.

In the closing moments of the drama-filled finale, the team managed to defeat Bastion and prevent Asteroid M from destroying the planet, but the heroes somehow ended up being transported through time in the process.
Xavier (Ross Marquand), Magneto (Matthew Waterson), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough), and Beast (George Buza) find themselves in Egypt in the year 3,000 B.C., where they encounter a younger En Sabah Nur (Adetokumboh M'Cormack). Spoilers for "X-Men '97" follow.
Rejoice, my X-Fans, for your theories have prevailed.
The "X-Men '97" season 1 finale, the three-part epic "Tolerance is Extinction," ended in shocking fashion. The big bad Bastion sent Asteroid M on a collision course with Earth, deciding to force humanity into extinction rather than evolution. Professor X, unable to not see the good in Magneto, even after his frenemy's torturous attack on Wolverine, pulls Erik back to the light with a telepathic therapy session. The X-Men, once more including Magneto, save the world. But then they vanish, pulled through time to the past, future (Cyclops and Jean), and parts unrevealed. The past X-Men, stranded in Egypt, circa 3000 BC, meet a grey-skinned mutant that fans will certainly recognize.
As is Marvel tradition, there's also post-credits scene revealing that, while the X-Men are scattered across time, an old foe is rearing his head. In the present, En Sabah Nur's future self,...

The Sandman graphic novel is, without exaggeration, Neil Gaiman's magnum opus, his most ambitious and complex work. It has won the love of many fans, spawned numerous spin-offs, won several awards, and gone through more than one reprint.
The idea of adapting The Sandman, initially as a feature film, appeared in the late 1990s, but due to creative differences the project got stuck in production hell. It was only in 2019 that a deal between Netflix and Warner Bros. was announced, which led to the long-awaited adaptation – already in the form of a series.
The Sandman, released in 2022, was a definite success – it received 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and unconditional love from fans of the comic as well as viewers unfamiliar with the original source.

On April 25, a new series was released that all fans of Neil Gaiman's work have been waiting for an incredibly long time. After all, this is not just a live-action adaptation of one of the famous American author's works, but a story that takes place in the same universe as The Sandman! We are, of course, talking about Dead Boy Detectives, a young adult comedy-drama that skillfully combines elements of occult detective and supernatural horror.
The new series has pleasantly impressed critics and audiences alike, with an astounding 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But despite fan love, rave reviews, and the top spot on Netflix's regional charts, Dead Boy Detectives doesn't seem to be getting the ratings it deserves. Unfortunately, all of this puts the show at risk of cancellation.

Has there ever been a more bonkers superhero than Deadpool? Equal parts violent and zany, this lethal mercenary, also known as the "Merc with a Mouth," first appeared in the "New Mutants" comic series in December 1990, albeit as a villain. Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) went on to star in his own mini-series. He eventually gained notoriety for his dark humor, meta-commentary, and affinity for breaking the fourth wall. Over the years, Deadpool has teamed up with or battled alongside Marvel's hero gallery and has since become one of the brand's most popular characters. In fact, according to Gitnux Marketdata Report, he's the most liked character on Facebook. So take that, Iron Man!

Within the first seven minutes, Netflix’s Dead Boy Detectives tells you exactly what its greatest love story is going to be. Hanging onto the ledge outside the London offices of their supernatural detective agency, Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri) are waiting out a visit from Death. Kirby reprises her casually cool and soothingly collected version of the reaper from Netflix’s other Neil Gaiman adaptation The Sandman. If Death catches them, it would mean being carted off to the afterlife and separated. For 30 years, the two eternal teenagers have walked just behind the veil of our world as an unbreakable pair and two pretty damn-good detectives. In a tragic sense of irony, they were each other’s first real friend –– they just didn’t meet until after they died. Edwin met his fate in 1916 after being sacrificed to a demon by the bullies of his...

Neil Gaiman doesn’t create singular worlds. Instead, he produces an entire universe held together by the gravitational force of his imagination.
Dead Boy Detectives, the new series based on Gaiman’s teenage ghost duo Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), exists within the same narrative reality as The Sandman. The undead detectives solve mysteries and fight demons and witches, while trying to evade the attention of Death (Kirby) herself. The series, developed for television by Steve Yockey — who serves as co-showrunner alongside Beth Schwartz — lives on its own, but the influence of The Sandman radiates throughout.
“I grew up reading Sandman and Books of Magic and Children's Crusade and Dead Boy Detectives and all the sort of Vertigo imprint stuff for DC Comics,” Yockey tells Tudum. “I found Dead Boys when I was going through a particularly difficult loss in my life and just found it...

Some of DC’s best live-action small-screen adaptations were produced on the now-defunct streaming service DC Universe, where some of the renowned showrunners of network showbiz collaborated with the prolific creative minds of comic-book literature to create faithful adaptations of some of the most beloved DC comic series. As some of the fans might surely remember, Doom Patrol turned out to be arguably the best adaptation, and along with a myriad of zany, outlandish characters, the series first introduced the trio lead of Dead Boy Detectives outside the funny pages. The introduction was supposed to be a precursor to the spin-off series of the same name, and the actors portraying their roles in the Doom Patrol cameo were finalized to reprise their roles in the new series back then. This was exciting news for fans, as seeing how well Doom Patrol was adapted on a small screen, the possibility of...

In theory, Netflix’s Dead Boy Detectives should be a feast for the misery wraiths, faceless creatures who feed on pain and suffering. The ghostly protagonists, Edwin (George Rexstrew) and Charles (Jayden Revri), are both teenagers bullied to death at the same British boarding school seven decades apart. They spend their time finding closure for other lost souls, like a pair of high schoolers cut down in their prime or a family slaughtered by an abusive patriarch. And they’re constantly on the run from the agents of Death, who would condemn Edwin to Hell on a technicality.
Yet the duo only ever encounter one such monster over the eight-episode first season, and perhaps that’s because despite its gloomy-sounding premise, Dead Boy Detectives is the furthest thing from dour. Dark, sure; bittersweet, sometimes. But it’s never less than entertaining, thanks to an appealingly quirky lead cast and a cheeky sense of humor.

The end of the fifth episode of "X-Men '97" gave fans quite the shock. Not only did the peaceful haven of Genosha suddenly find itself under attack by a massive Tri-Sentinel Master Mold that massacred unknown numbers of mutants, but the beloved X-Men team member Gambit met his demise in a final act of heroism that stopped the tragedy from getting even worse. A week later, the end of the sixth episode revealed that it was recurring X-Men villain Mister Sinister who was behind the attack, having manipulated Bolivar Trask into activating the Sentinel strike. But as we learned in this week's seventh episode, "Bright Eyes," Sinister is just one part of the equation.
Throughout episode 7 of "X-Men '97," Rogue is trying to figure out who was responsible for the destruction on Genosha and the death of Gambit. She's out for vengeance, and in her pursuit, she encounters Captain America,...

Thanos made his live-action debut in The Avengers with Damion Poitier playing the iconic MCU character. After Josh Brolin took over the role, Thanos appeared as the primary antagonist of the Infinity Saga.

Thanos’ MCU appearance was successful and Brolin made quite the spectacle of the role. However, Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man sacrificed himself to kill off the villain. Now, with the Kang debacle after Jonathan Majors’ firing from Marvel Studios, the future of the Marvel big bad for Avengers: Secret Wars remained uncertain in many ways. That’s where Thanos’ return speculation gets its prominence.

In three separate realms, Tales of Kenzera begins as a story of loss. In the real world, Surgent Studios’s CEO and creative director, Abubakar Salim, lost his father, sparking a need to create an outlet for his grief. In the game itself, Zuberi, a young man of the Afrofuturist utopia of Amani, has lost his own father and is gifted a book of myths that was written by the man as he was dying so that his son could cope. Finally, the book’s story, and that of the playable narrative, concerns a young shaman named Zau who’s also lost his father.
However, Zau has a more extreme solution to deal with his grief: He seeks out Kalunga, the god of Death in the shape of a tribal elder, and attempts to bargain to bring his father’s soul back from the grave. Kalunga agrees, in exchange for...

It seems unnecessary to say about one of the top three podcast publishers, but “Wondery Means Business” is the name of the first of six innovative marketing campaigns being pushed out by the Amazon company this year. Not that anybody doubts it. With 220 active shows, 72 million streams and more than 55 pods reaching No. 1 on Apple Podcasts, the studio known for such binge-worthy hits as Dr. Death and SmartLess is taking a new approach to its programming starting April 1, strategically timing the rollout of its most popular genres. “We are by no means abandoning the concept of one-show marketing,” says Bladimiar Norman, Wondery’s inventive head of global marketing. He adds he’ll be applying the tenets of his box office experience from working on franchises like Mission: Impossible and Star Trek to the audio business: “The primary goal here is to connect our IP to audiences and create fandom through experiences and moments.

Exclusive: Ryan Murphy is quickly expanding his footprint on ABC. The network has given a straight-to-series order to his Doctor Odyssey, with Joshua Jackson set to play the lead and executive produce. The drama, targeted for a fall launch, hails from 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television.
As is the case with any Ryan Murphy series, no details about the premise are being revealed. As the title suggests, Doctor Odyssey is believed to be a medical procedural. According to sources, it is set on a cruise ship. That was the setting for this season’s disaster-themed opener of Murphy’s procedural 9-1-1 in its debut on ABC, and it also harkens back to TV classic The Love Boat.

After spending decades in development hell, a live-action adaptation of the Neil Gaiman comic book series The Sandman actually made it into production and was released into the world as a Netflix series in August of 2022. (Read our review Here.) Season 2 of the show went into production last year, then had to be put on pause for a while due to the writers and actors strikes. Thankfully, The Sandman season 2 was able to resume production as soon as those strikes came to an end – and now, during an interview with Collider, cast member Kirby Howell-Baptiste has confirmed that the new episodes will bring more Death to the screen. Death being the character she plays on the show.
Of course, it wouldn’t be difficult for the new season to feature “more Death,” since Death was only in one episode of the first season. But Howell-Baptiste said that in addition to being present in more episodes,...

Unlike most genre enthusiasts, horror fans face a unique challenge when trying to share their favorite media with friends and family. While almost anyone can handle watching a rom-com or a space opera (even if they don’t necessarily enjoy the experience), you can get into serious trouble by recommending Martyrs or Cannibal Holocaust to someone who isn’t yet versed in horror.
This is even more challenging when it comes to video games, with the added level of interactivity making scares more intense and raising the odds of alienating a loved one with an excessively disturbing recommendation. With this in mind, we’ve decided to come up with a list highlighting six gateway horror games that you can share with friends, co-workers and even children without risking life-long trauma!
As usual, don’t forget to comment below with your own non-m-rated horror favorites if you think we missed a particularly fun one.

It’s about time! Thirteen years have gone by since the release of Final Destination 5, but we’ve been hearing rumblings that another sequel was on the way for years. A while back, Jon Watts, director of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, came on board to produce the sixth film in the Final Destination franchise alongside Dianne McGunigle, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Craig Perry. Back in September of 2022, we learned that the duo of Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Last October, it was revealed that the film will be called Final Destination: Bloodlines… and now cinematographer Christian Sebaldt has shared an image that indicates Final Destination: Bloodlines will be heading into production soon! Nearly a year ago, Dreamworks Animation released Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. The sequel to the somewhat successful mostly forgotten movie Puss In Boots. ‘Puss In Boots: The Last Wish’, also known as just Puss In Boots 2, follows Puss as he reaches the last of his nine lives. When gaining knowledge about a wishing star, he goes on an ambitious quest to find the star and wish for more lives. Encountering friends and foes along the way.
Upon its release, existing as a sequel to a spinoff of a popular franchise, the public’s expectations of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish weren’t high at all. The creators of Mr Bates Vs the Post Office and Dr Death, which are among the most meaningful TV dramas of recent years, have outlined the secrets behind their series.
