- A graduate of Drama Studio London, Sam Benjamin is a rising British actor working on both sides of the Pond. He plays a lead role in The Pay Day (2022) on Starz, is known for The War of the Worlds (2019) opposite Eleanor Tomlinson, has played multiple characters in the Doctor Who (2005) universe and also appeared in Peaky Blinders (2013). He was taught Shakespeare under the tutelage of Patrick Stewart and John Britton after being hand picked to join the National Student Drama Festival Ensemble. His character in Lionsgate action movie I Am Vengeance: Retaliation (2020) received great notices, including a Variety review that calls for a spin-off movie following Sam's maverick black ops recruit 'Shapiro'. A recipient of New York and LA Film Awards, Sam also wrote and starred in The Few (2016) & Double Cross (2015) and has just completed his directorial debut with the pro wrestling drama short Screwjob. Sam starred as 'Young Jack' in BAFTA winning BBC series Old Jack's Boat (2013) alongside Freema Agyeman, and also starred in Little Crackers (2010) playing the brother of John Bishop. Also a skilled screenwriter, his sophomore screenwriting venture Double Cross (2015) also starring Kyla Frye (Edge of Tomorrow (2014)) made Official Selection at the British Urban Film Festival and SOUL Connect BFI Festival.
