Exclusive: A third season of Acorn TV and Channel 5 detective drama Dalgliesh has begun filming in Northern Ireland.
Produced by New Pictures (The Long Shadow) for Acorn and C5 in association with All3Media International, the third run will include lead actor Bertie Carvel making his directorial debut.
Another three P.D. James novels will be adapted for the season over two hour-long episodes each, in which Commander Dalgliesh is seen with Margaret Thatcher on the cusp of power in the UK. In the first book, Death in Holy Orders, Dalgliesh travels to a remote seminary overlooking a windswept lake, where a body has been found gruesomely murdered. Nearly everyone in the seminary has reason to resent the victim, and Dalgliesh and DS Tarrant must unpick a complicated set of motives to find their killer.

Keshet International (Ki) has picked up global rights to Finnish sci-fi thriller “Valhalla Project” (“Operaatio Valhalla”), produced by L.A. and Helsinki -based Snapper Films for Finnish streaming service Elisa Viihde.
The Elisa Viihde Original six-part series, currently in post-production, will be sneak peeked April 7 at MipDrama in Cannes, MipTV’s buyers and press’ only showcase for premium dramas.

Alice in Neverland, an original musical that imagines a meeting between Lewis Carroll’s Alice and J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, is under development, with actors Christy Altomare (Anastasia), Heath Saunders and Will Swenson (Waitress) set to lead a developmental reading tomorrow.
With book, music and lyrics by Phil Kenny and Reston Williams, Alice in Neverland is being presented by team of Broadway producers that includes Jerry Goehring (Be More Chill), Jim Kierstead (Hadestown), Mike Evariste (Disgraced), Jamie deRoy (Beetlejuice) and 42nd.club (Anastasia).

Rehearsals begin Thursday, January 12 for Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical Miss Saigon, which will return to its original home, The Broadway Theater 1681 Broadway beginning performancesWednesday, March 1. The original production of Miss Saigon opened at the same theater on April 11, 1991 and played there through January 28, 2001. Directed by Laurence Connor the recent hit revival of Les Miserables, School of Rock, the Broadway return of Miss Saigon will feature four of its London stars, Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer, Eva Noblezada as Kim, Alistair Brammer as Chris and Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi. The cast also includes Katie Rose Clarke as Ellen, Nicholas Christopher as John, Devin Ilaw as Thuy. Lianah Sta. Ana will play the role of Kim at certain performances. Miss Saigon has its official opening Thursday, March 23. Miss Saigon will play a limited engagement through January 13, 2018 before launching a North American tour later in the year.
