It has been a Mississippi minute since viewers of the Katori Hill-created P-Valley have enjoyed the Starz drama gracing their TV screens on a Sunday night at 10.
With the show's last episode of P-Valley Season 2 airing on August 14, 2022, its absence has left a big hole in the hearts of committed viewers.
P-Valley's time away from the silver screen is thanks to a lawsuit claiming that P-Valley's premise was taken from another creative in the industry, in addition to the WGA and SAG strikes.
Since so much time has passed, a refresher on how Season 2 ended is a great way to gear up for the Season 3 shenanigans of the workers and regulars at The Pynk -- a strip and dance club in the Mississippi delta.
We've got everything you need to know right below.

The need and desire to see Black, Brown, Asian and Indigenous people on screen has yet to be completely fulfilled by Hollywood, but there has been a recent uptick in Aapi and Bipoc representation on screen. “P-Valley” has been renewed for a third season consisting of 10 episodes at Starz. The critically acclaimed strip club-set drama is currently the cable network’s biggest show in the U.S.
The sophomore season of “P-Valley” — created and executive produced by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall — averages nearly 10.3 million viewers across linear, VOD and streaming platforms domestically, the network reported.
“‘P-Valley’ continues to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as it captures the nuances of the Mississippi Delta with an unprecedented level of humanity and artistry,” said Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at Starz, in a statement. “This layered drama gets beyond the glitz through authentic and complex characters that have captured the hearts of critics and audiences alike. We're way beyond the days of calling "P-Valley" a TV series just about strippers. Katori Hall's acclaimed Starz drama reached breakout success after its first season aired in the summer of 2020, largely because it created a raw yet empowering space for strip-club culture to be seen in a way that's rarely displayed on television. But the show accomplished so much more than that in season two.
"P-Valley" took braver steps with its second installment to depict issues far too complex to be contained inside a small-town, neon-lit club, aka The Pynk - including poverty, politics, sexual identity, systemic racism, domestic violence, misogyny, and a pandemic. "The second season is crafted better in terms of dramatic construction," Hall tells Popsugar. "That feeling of, 'Oh my God, what's going to happen next?' Being overwhelmed, I think, is very much a part of the feeling of season two."

The last decade has been a pretty wild ride for Tyler Lepley. During that time, he has gone from a relatively unknown actor to a social media star who is also on the brink of stardom in the entertainment industry. Tyler got his first big break back in 2013 when he was cast as Benny in The Haves and the Have Nots. While some people thought he was nothing more than a one-trick pony, he has since proved that he is anything but. In 2021, he got another great opportunity when he was cast in the Amazon Prime series Harlem,

A series revolving around a down and dirty strip club in the Mississippi Delta isn’t standard hit TV show fare. But Tony-nominated and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Katori Hall didn’t branch out from the stage to television to play by the rules. When her edgy TV series “P-Valley” debuted on Starz two years ago, circumstances were not ideal. The world was battling Covid plus social protests prompted by the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery were erupting all over the nation. In Season 2, those real-world events figure prominently as the show deftly avoids a sophomore slump and rises to its occasion.

“What’s the New York that I lived in and that I loved? It’s Harlem,” declares creator and showrunner Tracy Oliver about naming her Amazon comedy after the place she loves so dearly. “It just had such a cultural impact for me. The style, the music, the people, everything about it has a rich history. And so when you say you live in Harlem or you’re from Harlem and if you just say the word Harlem in New York, it has like a connotation to it that just gives a lot of people joy,” she explains, adding for our recent Q&a, “and so, I couldn’t think of another word that really captured the essence of the show more than using the city itself.”

Peacock has shared the first look at its new upcoming comedy series “Killing It,” streaming this April.
Created by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” producers Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, “Killing It” stars Craig Robinson as Craig, a man who competes in a state-sponsored python hunt in his quest to achieve the American Dream. The series co-stars Stephanie Nogueras as Craig’s ex-wife Camille, Jet Miller as his pre-teen daughter Vanessa and Rell Battle as his younger brother Isaiah. Claudia O’Doherty, Scott Macarthur and Wyatt Walter round out the cast.
“We love all the ambitious, challenging, thematically-rich series that populate the current peak-tv landscape,” said Goor in a statement. “We also love jokes. So, we tried to make a show that could deliver both. We wanted ‘Killing It’ to explore America’s quasi-religious obsession with entrepreneurship and wealth, and we also wanted it to be funny. Really, really funny. Plus, we wanted it to have big snakes.

Starz is expanding the crew at The Pynk as Katori Hall’s P-Valley adds Psalms Salazar (Girl Lost: A Hollywood Thriller) and Gail Bean (Paradise Lost) to the Season 2 cast. They will join returning cast members Nicco Annan, Elarica Johnson, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, Parker Sawyers and more.
Based on Hall’s play Pussy Valley, P-Valley Season 2 returns to the Mississippi Delta where lies an oasis of grit and glitter in a rough patch of human existence where beauty can be hard to find. This Southern-fried, hour-long drama tells the kaleidoscopic story of a “little strip club that could” and the big characters who come through its doors — the hopeful, the lost, the broken, the ballers, the beautiful and the damned. Trap music meets film noir in this lyrical and atmospheric series that dares to ask what happens when small-town folk dream beyond the boundaries of the Piggly Wiggly and the pawnshop.

No need to leave the couch to travel to “Harlem.” The comedy series from “Girls Trip” creator Tracey Oliver, about four stylish and ambitious 20-something girlfriends navigating life in New York City’s mecca of Black culture, premiered on Amazon Prime Video December 3.
Meagan Good stars as Camille, a young anthropology professor at Columbia who, despite her extensive knowledge of cultures around the world, has a hard time with her own love life.
“In Harlem, educated Black women are forced to navigate a playing field in which men have significantly more dating options, so it’s not that we’re desperate or thirsty, we’re dealing with a real-life man-deficit,” Good’s character...

In Harlem, under the weight of a deep history, courses a destiny of magnetic laughter and the pulses of proud people, both built by Black women. The historic neighborhood and its inhabitants have always been under threat, whether it’s the extralegal justice system, dirty policing, or racism. Now its gravest hazard, afflicting other predominantly African-American neighborhoods, stretching from the South Side of Chicago to South Los Angeles, is gentrification. No one has borne the brunt of these systematic hurdles more than the recipients of misogynoir: Black women.
“Harlem,” the vibrant, colorful Amazon series created by Tracy Oliver (“Girls Trip”), follows four tight-knit Black women as they soul search through dating, work-life balancing, and an omnipresent prejudice felt in the historic, but drastically changing New York City neighborhood. With a nimble flair, Oliver’s series combines elements of “Girlfriends,” “Sex and the City,” and “Living Single” — and features sharp, fun...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Harlem,” streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
Tracy Oliver’s “Harlem,” a 10-episode half-hour series for Amazon Prime Video, is the latest in her signature line of comedies that center on a group of Black female friends. But this is the one that started it all, according to the “Girls Trip” screenwriter, and the one that is most personal to her.
“I wrote it before ‘Girls Trip’ came out. This is why this is such a passion project and so close to me. I wrote this for free; I wrote this because I had to — at that moment there was just something in me that needed to write something so personal,” Oliver tells Variety.
Although “Harlem” follows a quartet of characters, it is Good’s Camille who is most modeled after Oliver’s own life, both personally and professionally. In the series,...

Harlem, which premieres this Friday on Prime Video, follows four dynamic friends navigating the different triumphs and challenges in their personal and professional lives while residing in the historically Black neighborhood.
It’s a personal story for series creator Tracy Oliver, who also wrote Girls Trip and serves as showrunner/executive producer on First Wives Club, because she got to write about her own experiences this time around.

Meagan Good is getting ready to grace our screens again with her upcoming role on Amazon's Harlem series. The 40-year-old actress plays an ambitious professor named Camille, who is still trying to move on from her ex (Tyler Lepley). While her character's love life seems complicated, to say the least, off screen, she is happily married to author and producer DeVon Franklin.
Meagan and DeVon first met on the set of 2011's Jumping the Broom. At the time, Meagan was in a "not-so-great" relationship, but according to her, God sent her a sign to end it. "The first thing that God told me was that it was time to get out of that relationship," she previously said on the Tamron Hall Show. "The second thing that God told me was that it was time to be celibate. The third thing that God told me was that Devon was my husband.

The merchandise includes an Elegorgon, which is a vinyl piece by Ecuadorian artist Chogrin that showcases what an Eggo waffle eating tween would look like if mashed up with a demogorgon; General Mills “Stranger Things” cereal that comes packed in original 1980s-style boxes but set in the world of the show; collectible Bandai action figures, including 16-inch demogorgons with interchangeable heads; customizable apparel stations and more.
Meanwhile, the photo moments include — for a limited time — getting up close to a hidden demogorgon in the Upside Down, popping into Hawkins Middle’s Snowball Dance, the Starcourt Mall, the Russian Lab and Joyce’s House.
