J.D. continues to use his skills as an educator with his Crafting the Image workshops. The workshops are free, multi-day intensive seminars to aid early-mid career cinematographers in developing skills that are practical and story-driven. Crafting the Image had their latest event in March 2024 at Arri Rental in Queens, NY and featured an intro to virtual production course.
