The long-awaited live-action series version of Avatar: The Last Airbender has revealed its first teaser trailer.
The story follows Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the Fire Nation.

Aang and Appa have officially reunited in a new look at Netflix’s live-action “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series. The streaming giant debuted a new poster for the series ahead of an official first look arriving later this week. In the poster, Aang and his comrades Katara and Sokka are seen on the back of Appa. The latter is a magical creature that is a combination of a flying bison and a manatee.
The long-awaited “Last Airbender” adaptation is set to debut on the streamer in 2024.
Gordon Cormier leads the series as Aang alongside Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka and Dallas Liu as Zuko. Additionally, Daniel Dae Kim plays Fire Lord Ozai and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is General Iroh.

CBS has put in development dramas Activation, from Katrina O’Gilvie (Swagger); and Tempest, from Jeff Buhler (Pet Sematary). Three new creators have been selected for the second year of the room. They are writer Jeff Buhler, multi-hyphenate Gbenga Akinnagbe, and writer Katrina O’Gilvie. The project is titled “Otherworld.” After discovering that she has the ability to communicate with spirits, a young woman is drawn into the world of the paranormal where she partners with a rag-tag team of eccentric ghost hunters to investigate hauntings and help the dead find the closure they need to cross over to the other side.
The Gunns will write and executive produce, with Dan Lin also set to executive produce under his Rideback banner along with Lindsey Liberatore. CBS Television Studios will produce.
