While not denying the claims, Milano expressed that it was “sad.”
“I don’t think it’s really that I’m sad for me or for my life or how it does or does not affect my life. I’m the most sad for the fans. I’m the most sad that a show that has meant so much to so many people has been tarnished by a toxicity that is still to this day, almost a quarter of a century later, still happening,” Milano said at the panel. “And I’m sad that people can’t move past it. Sarah Jeffery knew the original Charmed stars weren't bewitched by the reboot, but she was still hoping they'd appear on the series before it ended. As the season four finale approached, the reboot writers even began to lay the framework for Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan's potential return. Fans of the CW shows know all about the multiverse, thanks to the Arrowverse. But by the end of the reboot of Charmed, there was a new multiverse on the network… only it wasn’t one everyone could get behind. The finale ended with the reboot’s Charmed Ones — Mel (Melonie Diaz), Maggie (Sarah Jeffery), and Kaela (Lucy Barrett) — traveling to the front porch of the Halliwell Manor, home to the original’s Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Paige (Rose McGowan), and Prue (Shannen Doherty). While the reboot’s executive producers had their own ideas for what would have happened next, given the series ended with them walking inside, a writer from the original series disagreed. “As an original #Charmed writer, I can tell u what happened next: Piper, Phoebe & Paige vanquished the 3 imposters right after they invaded Halliwell Manor. It's sad, but it's true:
The series finale of Charmed airs in just over two weeks.
The CW has dropped some plot details for Charmed Season 4 Episode 13, which doubles as a season and series finale.
Given how late in the game the network canceled the drama about witches, many thought we wouldn't get an ending that featured plenty of closure.
"In the epic season finale, Mel (Melonie Diaz), Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) and Kaela (Lucy Barrett), along with Harry (Rupert Evans) and Jordan (Jordan Donica), have now discovered that the cabal of foes coalescing to bring down the Power of Three are actually working for an ancient evil that’s been laying dormant since the dawn of magic," the network's official description for the episode reads.
"This powerful dark force — known as the Lost One — will be the ultimate test of the strength of the newly discovered sisterhood; forcing them to rekindle their connection…...

With the news that The CW has canceled around half of their scripted shows, there's a silver lining for fans of Charmed.
The series, under the leadership of Jeffrey Lieber, Joey Falco and Nicki Renna, has crafted its best season yet, so it's unfortunate that it's being canceled in its prime.
However, the Charmed writers social media account shared Thursday night, hours after the cancellation announcement, that they worked towards closure with the season finale.
"As you can tell by the amount of change happening today, we -- the writers -- were always aware that cancellation was possible," reads the Tweet.
"As such, we wrote toward closure. Meaning, we're not leaving you hanging."
"Moreover, there are some really, really, really cool things happening right up to the final frame."
"So, if you've been with us, and are willing to stay with us, we promise you won't be left in the lurch.

Kruger and Shapiro remained on board as executive producers.
Last fall, Australian actress Lucy Barrett (Co-Ed) joined Melonie Diaz, who plays Mel, and Sarah Jeffery (Maggie) as a lead for the fourth season. She succeeded Madeleine Mantock who played co-lead Macy for the first three seasons.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the season four premiere of “Charmed”
A new Charmed one has arrived. The season four premiere of The CW’s “Charmed” introduced Lucy Barrett’s Kaela, a young witch with manifestation powers. Those powers will be key in helping take down the newest big bad, according to series stars Sarah Jeffery and Melonie Diaz.
What exactly are manifestation powers? Essentially, it’s the power of seeing and creating. In the season premiere, we see that Kaela has a penchant for art, and has been drawing people and places she sees in her dreams (including Mel and Maggie). In some cases, her drawings even manifest themselves in the real world.
Though Kaela’s magic proved to be a problem for Josefina, who ate an apple that fell out of Kaela’s drawing and then became a drawing herself — simultaneously creating a negative space monster — Jeffery and Diaz...

“Charmed” returns for its fourth season Friday night on The CW, introducing fans to a new Charmed one. And, according to series stars Sarah Jeffery and Melonie Diaz, her arrival is going to bring the best kind of chaos.
At the end of Season 3, Maggie (Jeffery) and Mel (Diaz) lost their sister Macy (Madeleine Mantock), as part of defeating the Whispering Evil. But, as they mourn her, the Guardian pops up to inform them that there’s another Charmed one to take Macy’s place — set to be played by Lucy Barrett — and they must find her. Maggie and Mel may be a bit skeptical, but for Jeffery and Diaz, welcoming new blood to the Power of Three has been a joy.
“It’s been really great,” Diaz told TheWrap. “You know, Lucy Barrett is a really positive, fun, loving human being off screen. And it just feels good to be around that.

The CW’s Charmed reboot has found its new “Charmed One”. Australian actress Lucy Barrett (Co-Ed) has joined Melonie Diaz, who plays Mel, and Sarah Jeffery (Maggie) as a lead in the upcoming Season 4 of the series, from CBS Studios.
Barrett is succeeding Madeleine Mantock who played co-lead Macy for the first four seasons. The major on-screen change is accompanied by a behind-the-scenes transition heading into Season 4, with Jeffery Lieber, Nicki Renna and Joey Falco replacing Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro as new showrunners.
.Lieber, Renna and Falco are keeping mum on Barrett’s character.
“Her name, backstory, powers, and connection to Mel and Maggie are being kept under wraps, because…well…it’s just more fun that way,” they said in a statement. “What we will say is…she’s an artist, with a wild, unpredictable love for life and a one-of-a-kind view of the world that serves her well in her art,...

The upcoming fourth season of CW’s Charmed will be without Madeleine Mantock. Mantock, who has played eldest sister Macy Vaughn since the reboot’s premiere in 2018, is leaving the show after the current third season, Deadline has confirmed.
“Playing Macy on Charmed for the last three seasons has been an immense privilege and I have so enjoyed working with our fantastic producers, creatives, cast and crew,” Mantock said in a statement Monday. “I’m incredibly grateful to The CW and CBS Studios for my time on the show and for being a brilliant support in my difficult decision to leave. Huge thanks to our fans who can look forward to, what I know will be, a spectacular fourth season.”
Mantock made the announcement just ahead of Friday’s Season 3 finale. Her exit was first reported by Deadline’s sister pub TVLine.

Everyone on Charmed needed a bit of healing, whether they knew it or not.
Charmed (2018) Season 3 Episode 12 was an emotional hour focused on Harry's quest for mortality, Macy and Maggie trying to talk to their mother, and Abigael trying to avoid her own mother.
"Spectral Healing" was also a tour de force for Sarah Jeffery, who played four different people during the span of one episode. And she did it magnificently and with ease.
Witches summoning and speaking to dead mothers -- and grandmothers -- is something that the Charmed Ones on the original show did quite frequently when they needed some guidance.
It was only a matter of time before Macy, Mel, and Maggie tried to do the same.
But, unfortunately for them, it did not go as smoothly as they planned. That's what you get for not reading the fine print, folks!
We have to live and love and make our own mistakes.
