Mary's great uncle, Wallace MacDonald, got his start in Hollywood with fellow Canadian Mack Sennett's Keystone Pictures where he played alongside Charlie Chaplin, Mabel Normand, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and Harold Lloyd. After appearing in 120 films, he turned his talents to producing and headed up the B Unit at Columbia Pictures during the 1950s.
