The “Paw Patrol” empire is continuing to expand. Nickelodeon and Spin Master Entertainment, the companies behind the pre-school powerhouse franchise, have announced a new television spinoff series for one of the main pups to debut in 2023.
“We loved telling a deeper ‘Paw Patrol’ story on a bigger canvas and are pleased that the movie connected so strongly with kids and families around the world,” said Spin Master Entertainment’s president Jennifer Dodge. “Judging by the exit polls, audience scores and positive critical reception, everyone had as much fun watching it, and rewatching it, as we did making it. Working in entertainment may never look the same again.
To hear numerous executives tell it, the past 12 months have shifted the paradigm for modern office life. Gone are the days of staying tethered to a desk until the boss leaves for the night. Showing up to work with a nasty cold no longer a badge of honor but a mark of disregard for your colleagues. And getting hired for a job that is headquartered in a totally different city or working remotely from a distant location might become more commonplace.
Masks, social distancing and hand sanitizer will become staples of workplace culture in the way that copy machines, water-coolers and desktop computers were once emblems of corporate life. At the same time, companies are reassessing travel budgets. Far-flung set visits, meetings on different coasts or continents, premieres in multiple locations and globe-hopping press junkets may all be a thing of...

The motto of the wildly popular kids TV series “Paw Patrol” is “No job is too big, no pup is too small.” And at Spin Master Entertainment — which produces “Paw Patrol” and is taking on “Paw Patrol: The Movie” as its first feature film project — the toy company’s entertainment division has embraced it as well. If any property were too big, it would be “Paw Patrol,” which is now in its seventh season and is one of the top-rated preschool series today, airing in over 160 countries and in 30 languages. But rather than hand over control to a studio, Spin Master Entertainment’s EVP Jennifer Dodge is producing, making it the studio’s first movie based on Spin Master IP. Dodge also tells TheWrap that the studio also has four other film projects also currently in development based on the company’s IP.
