She might have just wrapped a hugely successful TV series and be engaged to a prince, but Meghan Markle’s resume contains more than a few surprises.
Political Intern
After double-majoring in theater and international relations, Meghan worked at the U.S Embassy in Argentina during her senior year. With a keen interest in politics, she was thrown from college life to speeding around in motorcades in Buenos Aires. “I thought for sure I would still have a career in politics,” she told Marie Claire.

Damian Lewis is not slated to appear in Homeland‘s upcoming sixth season (bowing Jan. 15 on Showtime), but his late alter ego Brody will play a somewhat pivotal role in at least one episode.
VideosHomeland Season 6 Trailer Goes Nuclear, Offers First ‘Look’ at Quinn
As executive producer Chip Johannessen explains to TVLine, the decision to age Carrie and Brody’s daughter Frannie (now played by 4-year-old twins Claire and McKenna Keane) has allowed the show to explore a certain inevitable Daddy issue.
“One thing that surfaces this season is the question of who her father was,” the Ep reveals.

Let us not speak of the church bake sale on this week’s Mistresses.
It’s not that we don’t care about snotty teenager Lucy and her immortal soul — Hey, now! I can hear you hissing “speak for yourself” from the comfort of your laptop — but April’s parenting struggles and the strain they’re putting on her relationship with long-suffering Marc are nothing more than the decorative kale taking up space in the haute-(mess) cuisine being whipped up by Joss, Karen and Kate.

Need to catch up? Check out last week’s Quantico recap here.
Now, it’s entirely possible that the headline for next week’s Quantico recap will be: “Sorry, TVLine Readers, But I Had as Tough a Time as You Did Telling Who Was and Wasn’t Lying on This Show, So Here’s the Really Real Terrorist For Real.” But, absent any more left turns from the ABC drama, it looks like Liam — and not Drew, as the last episode led us to believe — is the mastermind behind all the bombings, voices and Alex-mind-effing that’s gone down this season.

With spoilers for Daredevil season 2, we look ahead to the future of Marvel’s Netflix collaboration…
Contains spoilers for Daredevil seasons 1 and 2 and Jessica Jones season 1.
Daredevil season 2 had plenty to enjoy, not least the additions of Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra to the Hell’s Kitchen/Netflix corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But among all the punching, kicking and murdering, there were also some hefty teases of things to come.
Since Marvel has Jessica Jones season 2, Luke Cage season 1, Iron Fist season 1 and the Defenders crossover series in its Netflix pipeline, it should come as no surprise that Daredevil season 2 was littered with teases of things to come – some small, and some major.
Here’s everything we picked up on (and, if we’ve missed anything, please put your own findings and theories in the comments)...

In a more fair world, one where television shows are not judged by the announcement of their intention to exist but instead by the content of the episodes they produce (which is to say, a world without Twitter), we would keep our mouths shut and wait for Heroes: Reborn to hit the airwaves next year before deeming it the mediocre thing it has every chance of being. But my editors tell me that taking a respite from obsessing over True Detective “might be healthy” for me. And anyways, there are some legit things to fret in theory about the...

The CW’s Flash pilot just added two more cast members. Deadline reports that Girlfriends alum Candice Patton will play Iris West, Barry Allen‘s best friend. Additionally, Broadway star Carlos Valdes (Once) has been cast to play an engineering genius named Cisco Ramon. Both names should be familiar to DC comics fans but since Arrow has had a character called “Speedy” and another named Roy Harper who didn’t end up the way we would have expected, don’t nerd out too quickly.
Transgender activist Janet Mock has called out Piers Morgan Live for an interview segment that was edited to focus on the physical aspects of her transition and her relationships, sensationalizing Mock’s story with similarly sensational descriptions for Mock appearing on screen. Is it really that hard for people like Morgan or Katie Couric to do some basic research on the topic they’re about to discuss?...

A recurring feature in which we ask your favorite stars to reminisce about past gigs
Claire Coffee‘s first small-screen gig was a loud and proud affair.
Proud, because she had nabbed a small part on HBO’s The Mind of the Married Man while she was still in college. And loud, because… well, we’ll let her tell it.

General Hospital, which earned 19 nominations, joined Restless in the race for Outstanding Drama Series, and Sesame Street received 17 nods, including three for Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo who faces allegations of sexual misconduct.
Good Morning America and Today will bring their ratings rivalry to the Emmys, where they’ll be joined by CBS Sunday Morning in the Outstanding Morning Program category.

River City (Scotland)
I realize given the events of this episode that it’s in poor taste to say this, but as I predicted last week, Will looks awfully delish in his policeman’s uniform. But in spite of his total hotness, unlike some other fans of another fanbase I could mention (and will later in this column), I neither excuse or ignore Will’s deplorable actions in this episode.
I’ve often said how well-written and acted this show is and this week was no exception. The opening sequence, which detailed Will beating Robbie again and the ensuing aftermath, was powerful even though it was done in hushed and quiet tones and soft music. As always, the show makes sure we know that while Will might be a likable or even sympathetic guy, this is no magical love story that excuses or downplays the abuse.
