He came first place in Shore Scripts 2015 Short Film Screenwriting Competition with his script Street Hassle, judged by professionals including Jeremy Irons, Tony Grisoni and Phylidda Lloyd.
James Price received a Bafta New Talent nomination as a writer for the 2015 short film Dropping Off Michael.
Born and raised in the Springburn area of Glasgow.
His short film Boys Night is based on a real night from his childhood when he had to shepherd his drunk father home after a argument between his father and mother resulted in a smashed car window.
James Price was selected to be a part of the BBC Drama Room program in London in 2018. Out of 4000 scripts his feature length screenplay 'Street Hassle' was one of only 15 selected to take part.
James is one of 13 writers to be selected for the BBC TV Drama Writer's Program 2019. He has been partnered with World Productions Scotland.
