Strictly Come Dancing 2022 is in full flow, with this year’s celebrity contestants continuing to battle it out to win the Glitter Ball trophy.
Saturday (19 November) night’s episode saw the competition really heating up as Strictly returned to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for the first time since 2019.
With the eight remaining couples facing new challenges as they performed on the huge, sprung stage and were joined by backing dancers for their routines – much to the frustration of the viewers – the scores were high too.
Fleur East convinced Craig Revel Horwood to finally get his 10 paddle out as she scored the first perfect 40 of the series with her Couple’s Choice routine.
She was closely followed by Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin, while Ellie Taylor is at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Ellie Simmonds has earned a standing ovation from Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse on Strictly.
The hit BBC reality series is underway with its second week of new episodes. Simmonds takes part alongside a whole roster of contestants, including TV presenters, athletes, and pop stars.
The five-time Paralympian champion swimmer is partnered with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin.
The pair were the third couple to dance on Saturday’s episode (1 October), choosing to perform a waltz to a rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.
After they completed their dance, they were met with standing ovations from two of the four judges: Ballas and Mabuse.
The judges all praised the “emotion” in the dance, with Craig Revel-Horwood praising the “expression” in Simmonds’ arms and hands.
Ballas agreed, stating: “There is so much magic in something so simple,” adding that the waltz was “beautifully executed”.

Will Mellor has shared the unconventional way he might try to win Strictly Come Dancing.
The actor made his dancefloor debut on Saturday (24 September) as the BBC series returned for its 20th series.
Mellor, who is best known for the sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, immediately proved a favourite among viewers, and is now one of the contenders to win the show in December.
However, should his chances slip away, the actor has come up with an idea that could ensure his success.
“I’ve been known to flirt a little bit to get judges on my side – so I might flirt a little bit with Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood,” he told Radio Times.
Mellor’s processional dance partner is Nancy Xu. They both received a standing ovation from Ballas and her fellow jusde Motsi Mabuse following their first performance, earning an impressive...
