Mariana Barreto, also known as Mari, is a singer/songwriter in Brooklyn, NY. Mari began writing music at the age of 16 and started working with composer/producer Michael A. Levine when she was 19. Her song and vocals can be heard on films such as Landfill Harmonic, Amelia 2.0, French Kiss by Marriott Hotels, and 3100 Run and Become. Most recently, Mari's voice can be heard on Freeform's TV series, Siren. She sings the vocals for the mermaids in Siren, including the signature "call of the Siren" song.
Mari came out with her first EP, Samira & The Wind in 2017.
Mari attended Rhode Island School of Design in 2012, then transferred to Art Center College of Design. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in photography. Mari continues to work as a photographer while pursuing her singing career.
