Warning! Contains spoilers for The Boys season 3!
The Boys, Prime Video’s hit superhero TV show is returning for a new season this summer. Prime Video recently released a poster which came bearing 13th June release date.
The Boys is one of Prime Video’s biggest titles. Eric Kripke’s alternative take on superheroes has been widely popular and a Spanish-language spin-off is currently in the works while Gen V, another spin-off, was hugely popular with fans and critics alike.
At the end of season 3, Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher was delivered devastating news that he was dying after ingesting some temporary Compound V, which gave him superpowers. Maeve has also lost her powers after defeating (at least temporarily) Soldier Boy in the season 3 finale...

Neighbours fans will get a special Christmas treat this year.
The Australian soap traditionally takes a hiatus over the holiday, but not this time. Neighbours during the week of 12-25-23 features the first on-screen Christmas since 2018.
Mixed in with the celebrations are broken hearts and high drama, with some people having the worst Christmas of their lives.
Paul's been having a miserable time, so much so that I almost feel sorry for him.
Being on the outs with David means he can't openly celebrate with his granddaughter, even though Aaron and Nicolette don't have the same qualms about letting Isla have a relationship with Paul.
Paul's shenanigans have continued for years without becoming a tired TV trope. He's always on the outs with some family member or other.
But an on-screen Christmas allows Stefan Dennis to portray Paul's pain and heartbreak over the holiday. Paul may have brought this on himself,...

Already two long years have passed since Season 3 of Sex Education came out on Netflix and wowed viewers once again. The British series about the awkward teenage boy Otis (Asa Butterfield), who starts a sex therapy business at his school, was first released in 2019. Ever since the show has experienced great success. It’s all due to its witty writing, inclusive storylines, complex characters, and actually educative aspects without being too preachy. The previous season left viewers on a cliffhanger. Maeve and Otis finally get a chance at romance, only for her to leave for a study program in...

Rebel Wilson is directing her first feature film with musical comedy “The Deb,” a big-screen adaptation of an Australian musical set in the outback.
The film is produced by Amanda Ghost, Len Blavatnik, and Gregor Cameron via their company Unigram, which recently produced Apple TV+ movie “Tetris,” and sister outfit AI Film. The project was launched around the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, at a private event aboard billionaire investor Blavatnik’s yacht, where cast members from the Aussie musical performed a number of songs on the vessel’s upper deck.
Blavatnik, sporting a baseball cap with branding for the movie, introduced the singers, making it clear to the intimate gathering aboard his three-floor yacht that he was an enthusiastic backer of the project and, indeed, Wilson.

This article contains spoilers for season 3 of "The Boys."
Eric Kripke's Prime Video series "The Boys" has always been brutal, but season 3 was especially violent, killing off major characters or wounding them permanently. That's saying something when you take into account the fact that many of the characters are superhuman and incredibly tough to kill, but season 3 saw a whole lot of them kick the bucket.
Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), in particular, went through hell in the finale, losing an eye in the battle with Homelander (Antony Starr) and losing her powers in the battle with Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). It looked like she died, but she miraculously survived, albeit as a normal, non-superpowered human with some pretty nasty injuries. This was a change from the character's fate in the comics, but it made a lot of sense given the changes to the character in general and her impressive arc over the three seasons.

The problems with Rare Objects, Katie Holmes’ limp third directorial feature, aren’t immediately apparent. The film, which the actress also co-wrote and stars in, lures you with the potential of the biographical details revealed in the first scene. Benita, played by Julia Mayorga, sits before an attending doctor (Matthew Lawler) at the unnamed hospital from which she is being discharged. He recounts a mix of mundane and distressing facts: Benita was previously a student at the City University of New York; she had an abortion; and she checked herself into the hospital for Ptsd and anxiety. These notes do not define a life, but they do promise a story far more involving than what Rare Objects ultimately offers.
Holmes and her co-writer Phaedon A. Papadopoulos adapted their screenplay from Kathleen Tessaro’s novel of the same name. Tessaro’s Rare Objects takes place in Depression-era Boston, where its main character,...

The identity of snarky gossiper Simon Kelleher’s killer in season one was identified at the conclusion of Peacock’s One of Us is Lying season one. And, mini-spoiler alert, the gang took care of that problem (Rip Jake) but wound up creating a new one. Which, of course, leads us to season two.

While William speaks to the assembled, Maeve and Caleb step off of the train that sped them from Los Angeles to the middle of nowhere, exiting the dystopian future and stepping back in time and into a town called Temperance. If the awesome selection of cool hats didn’t give the game away immediately, the environment Maeve and Caleb enter should. This week on HBO’s Westworld, a familiar face finally resurfaced, while things turned deadly at the new theme park.
The episode “Annees Folles” finally checks back in with Bernard, who has been “asleep” for seven years. Last time we saw him, he was slumped forward on a bed collecting dust while the world went to hell around him. Thankfully, he’s had a friend (and watchdog) in Ashley Stubbs, former head of security at Westworld and easily the most loyal sidekick in the show. More on that shortly.

Westworld Season 4 Episode 3
Westworld is a very clever show. At times, it might be too clever for its own good, but although it can sometimes be difficult to follow the narrative, you always feel the writers have given every moment and twist serious thought. Nowhere is that more apparent than “Annees Folles.” In two very crucial ways, the episode marks a return to familiar environments: Bernard emerges from the Sublime with a new mission, and Maeve finds herself essentially back where it all began in the first season, albeit with slightly different window dressing.
I tend to really like when two plots mirror one another structurally, and Bernard’s emergence into the real world and Maeve’s return to a Delos theme park really scratch that itch for me. It’s fun to watch the two of them as parallels, both armed with the knowledge...

If you haven't seen the season 3 finale of "The Boys" yet, consider bookmarking this page and coming back to it later, because we are about to delve into spoilers.
Just when you thought a certain character was dead, Prime Video's "The Boys" proved that — beneath all the crass humor and irreverent superhero satire that makes up its cynical exterior — the show still has a heart of gold.
Things were looking pretty bleak for Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) at the end of the season 3 finale. After losing an eye to Homelander (Anthony Starr), Maeve had seemingly jumped to her death, sacrificing herself to save everyone...

This article contains The Boys spoilers.
The Boys season 3 saw an increasingly unstable Homelander remove the corporate shackles of Vought and the encumbrance of disloyal members of his superhero team. This fact alone is enough to predict where the next season might be headed because if there’s one thing that’s certain, it’s that Homelander will snap and nearly destroy the Earth at some point during the series. What else can we predict about where the series will go from here?
There’s the question, of course, of how long it will take for Stan Edgar’s prediction to come true regarding Homelander’s takeover of Vought. As he departs the boardroom, leaving the head of The Seven in charge, he tells his protege that while he may have removed the bureaucracy keeping him in check, he also removed any protection or damage control the corporation provided for his actions.

This The Boys article contains spoilers for season 3 episode 8.
According to The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, it’s no big secret what the show’s ultimate plan is.
“By the time we get to the end of the series, whenever that is, (Homelander) needs to be ready to destroy the planet,” Kripke tells Den of Geek. “I think it’s obvious that we’re building to that being the core problem. It would be weird if we didn’t. It would be weird if we built to ‘oh no, turns out the whole time it was Termite.'”
Though it might have already been readily apparent to anyone who has watched the show thus far or read Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic of the same name, everything on The Boys comes down to Homelander. As long as there is a nearly invulnerable superman out there testing the limits...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “The Instant White-Hot Wild,” the Season 3 finale episode of “The Boys.”
“The Boys” ended its third season Friday with a finale that included multiple character deaths, changes in alliances and cliffhangers so huge that even Starlight would have a hard time flying down from them safely. Luckily for the Amazon Prime Video series, fans have grown accustomed to this madness and likely knew they were in for a wild ride when they tuned into the Season 3 finale.
But for the sake of underlining how much went down in the episode, here we go: Homelander (Antony Starr) kills Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell); the Deep (Chace Crawford) kills Robert Singer’s (Jim Beaver) VP pick and the slot goes to secret supe Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit); Starlight/Annie (Erin Moriarty) flies with just a little assistance from Hughie (Jack Quaid); Queen...

Just when viewers thought season three of "The Boys" would wrap up everything in a nice bow, the final episode spoils everyone's peaceful plans and leaves a huge mess behind for season four.
The climactic father-son battle at Vought Tower between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) finally brings some resolution to this season's Supe manhunt, and it seems as though everyone goes their separate ways. A powerless Maeve (Dominique McElligott) leaves town to live a normal life with her girlfriend, Elena; Butcher (Karl Urban) comes to grips with his death wish; Homelander gets his son, Ryan, back; and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is officially a member of the Boys. However, a certain character's political rise may set up yet another epic catastrophe for "The Boys" to sort through in the near future.
"I only know what's going to happen with my character and the story when I get the scripts.

After waiting nearly 18 months for The Boys Season 3 to premiere, it’s already time to part ways with Homelander, Butcher & Co. — and bid a permanent goodbye to two characters!
Friday’s eventful and action-packed hour brought us, among other things, a highly anticipated showdown with Soldier Boy, a tragic loss that even brought Homelander to tears, and a surprisingly happy ending for one of the supes. Plus, the final moments of the episode were so downright unnerving that we’re still trying to shake off the chills from that closing image.

This post contains spoilers for the final episode of "The Boys" season 3.
Of all the characters in "The Boys," Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) is probably the most improved from her comic book counterpart. Comic book Maeve was a one-dimensional parody of Wonder Woman who had a minor turn towards the good side before being unceremoniously murdered by Homelander. The TV show, meanwhile, made it clear early on that their Maeve would be a lot more sympathetic and a lot more interesting. When she finally rebels against Homelander (Antony Starr) at the end of season 2, her plan actually works. Sure, Homelander calls her bluff later...

The Boys Season 3 Episode 8: The Instant White-Hot Wild
The Boys’ third run finale largely continues the two big themes of the season, setting up Season 4 to be another set of stories focusing on terrible father figures, and political satire. But it also provides closure to several running story threads, giving ‘The Instant White-Hot Wild’ a good sense of closure on this chapter, and it injects some much-needed joy into the show’s bleak universe.
The Boys TV show (as opposed to the original comics) has always been about satirising celebrity culture more than anything else. But this season, it’s increasingly shifted into political satire. That’s an entirely logical step, since the political culture it’s satirizing is precisely one where celebrities not only become politicians, but use their celebrity as the basis for their political career. It’s...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Westworld Season 4 premiere.] Everyone who thought this season was going to deal with the apocalypse, raise your hand. After concluding Season 3 with some massive explosions and an implied “end of days” scenario for humanity, Westworld has again flipped its own script. Instead of showing society collapse, the Season 4 premiere introduces viewers to a mysterious new world (or multiple worlds) where Caleb (Aaron Paul) has a family, Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) is living in a cabin in the woods, William (Ed Harris) — or more likely, the host version of him — is up to no good, and Evan Rachel Wood is back as a new character, Christina. Here’s how it happens. John Johnson/HBO World #1: Caleb, Maeve and William The episode opens with William touring a data storage facility. Apparently, something was stolen from him eight years earlier by a “she” — Maeve? Hale-Dolores? At this point, it’s all part of...

It’s a whole new Westworld, and, man, does it seem peaceful since Maeve and Caleb took out the predictive-ai, big-think computer Rehoboam last season. Dolores even helped, sacrificing her life.
So, let’s bring everyone up to speed in regards to what happened tonight:
—Ed Harris’ Man in Black a.k.a William is walking around like he’s got a mind of his own and lots of power. But, remember, Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) killed what seemed like a human version of him in the season 3 finale, and sent a host of the guy out into the world. Mib wants to buy a water dam off a drug cartel. He makes them an offer they can’t refuse, but yet they do initially refuse: Sell it today, “or you give it to me for nothing tomorrow...

Westworld Season 4 Episode 1
At the end of season 3 of Westworld, things looked fairly bleak for humanity. After all, there were still fires burning and riots in the streets, hundreds of people were either killed or killed themselves, and humanity’s social order had been thrown into chaos by the revelation that Incite’s AI program Rehoboam controlled everything about every person’s fate. That seems like the kind of thing that would indeed kick off a melt-down of society and full-scale revolution, right? As it turns out, that’s not exactly the case.
Take the case of Caleb (Aaron Paul), who was one of the people who broke the chains on humanity. When we met him, he was working construction with a robot pal and wishing for a better life. Eight years after literally bringing down the world’s richest man, he’s still working construction,...

HBO returned to Westworld this Sunday night, kicking off its fourth season with new mysteries, new threats, and the return of a fan-favorite character we haven’t seen since Season 2.

Remember back to Westworld season 3, if you will.
It’s been three months since the Westworld massacre, and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) still has work to do. She’s escaped the boundaries of Delos’ adult theme park, has made her way to a dystopian future version of Los Angeles, and is actively hunting down anyone connected to the artificial intelligence program known as Rehoboam. The overturned stones lead her to Liam Dempsey Jr. (John Gallagher Jr.), the failson of the founder of Incite, who maintain the world-controlling artificial intelligence. He’s a useless money-suck living off his old man’s accomplishments; the true power behind the throne is a man known as Serac (Vincent Cassel), the world’s only secretive billionaire. Dolores learns this secret, but only after killing Dempsey’s right hand man Connells (Tommy Flanagan) and replacing him with an identical host.

“Westworld” is one of the most compelling shows on television. It’s also one of the most confusing.
HBO’s prestige series, developed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan and based on the movie by Michael Crichton (that served as something of a prototype for his later novel “Jurassic Park”), is knotty and complex, weaving a complicated narrative out of the ongoing battle between humans and lifelike robots (called “hosts”) in a technologically-advanced near-future. Season 4, which premieres on June 26, takes place seven years after the events of the previous season (which aired more than two years ago) and is even further away from the theme-park-robots-run-amok conceit of the first season.
All of which is to say: you probably need a refresher. And we are here to deliver that refresher. At the very least, it’ll keep you from scratching your chin and running to Wikipedia every few minutes.

“This is the new world,” jaded android Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) said to disillusioned mortal ally Caleb (Aaron Paul) in the dark sci-fi drama’s gruesome 2020 Season 3 finale. They, along with wily robot Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), had freed humans from the mind control of a massive AI entity. But Dolores died in the fight, and the unchained masses were torching skyscrapers. The Westworld Season 4 opener picks up seven years later. “Some things are very, very, very different. Some things have stayed the same,” says executive producer Lisa Joy. Civilization still exists, as do Westworld-style theme parks where robot hosts entertain guests, as Maeve and Dolores did before they gained sentience and escaped. New “worlds” re-create eras of “decadence and sin — so much of human nature is revealed in those times,” Joy adds. In an eerie twist, Wood is back but as a new character, Christina. “She’s a young...

While HBO’s “Westworld” was originally based on the 1973 movie starring Yu Brynner, the series quickly moved beyond its cinematic roots into the world of role playing games and overlapping storylines before moving outside the walls of the park into the real world in Season 3. Season 4, returning to HBO on June 26, feels inspired by both the 1976 feature film sequel “Futureworld” and “The Matrix” as the characters (and the audience) struggle to determine what’s real and what’s a simulation.
The first two seasons of “Westworld” explored a massive live-action open-world role-playing game run by Delos Corporation. A destination experience where wealthy human guests can live out their fantasies through various themed experiences in the park. The guests, given free reign to be on their worst behavior, often tortured the lifelike robot “hosts”, stuck in the park on an endless horrific loop. The guests, like the hosts, are constantly observed...

I’m no technical expert, but did anybody ever consider unplugging Westworld for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in?
I ask because for a show in which nobody can ever really die — or, if they do die, they can be brought back as robots — and, after the third season, anybody can apparently change identities with just the flick of a switch, HBO’s Westworld is extremely bad at resetting itself.
As its fourth season begins, Westworld has settled into what is now a comfortable routine: Take a couple of episodes to establish the new normal, even if that amount of exposition is either completely unnecessary or woefully insufficient. Find an interesting rhythm for a few episodes at midseason. Aaron Paul gives good anguish. If he didn’t, audiences may not have made it through “Breaking Bad,” where the then-30ish actor was put through the wringer, again and again, as Walter White’s protégé-turned-pawn, Jesse Pinkman. Watching Paul embody Pinkman’s struggles with addiction, clashes with enemies, and continued torture could’ve grown redundant; grueling in its familiarity; as hard to sit through as it was for Jesse to live through. But Paul grows Jesse’s grief so that when another tragedy strikes, the embers of what’s already happened reignite, burning into a fresh, unholy fire.
His bright blue eyes help. They’re clear, and in that clarity is an ocean. They can turn cold with fury or shimmer with rage. They can widen in shock or squeeze shut to whatever new horror is facing them. Paul’s compelling peepers are an incredible asset for an actor...
