Kangaroos are so cute, aren’t they? That’s why kangaroo hunters make for such bastard villains. They were bastards in Crocodile Dundee and they were bastards in Wake in Fright, which is a superb film, by the way. However, neither of those films concern kangaroo hunters quite as much as Fair Game, a slick little exploitation film from 1986.
The hunters, of which there are three, have a pretty simple dynamic. Two of them, Sparks (Garry Who) and Ringo (David Sandford), are total morons – man children with a cruel streak, while Sunny (Peter Ford), their leader, looks like an Rm Williams ambassador. He behaves like one too, presenting himself as a fair dinkum bloke. However, he rather spoils that image when he relentlessly antagonises Jessica (Cassandra Delaney), pursuing her through the outback.
That is the plot – three men antagonising a woman, and it begins quite well with a synthy score...

Ryan Reynolds has revealed that his recent incarnation as a global marketing supremo came about in part because of tireless efforts to get his hit comic movie Deadpool off the ground.
“I spent ten years trying to get the film Deadpool made — it was hell,” he told an audience at the Cannes Lions advertising event in France today. “We shot some test footage, some absolute bastard leaked it onto the internet, and that’s what got the movie made.”
Reynolds was speaking in his capacity as Chief Creative Officer of ad-tech firm Mntn, which last year bought the marketing division of the actor’s production company Maximum Effort, for which he has created ads for a number of his film projects and for brands such as Peloton and R.M. Williams.
He said Deadpool “got made through some pretty unorthodox methods,” adding: “The studio [20th Century Fox] never really believed in...

Hugh Jackman just proved he's still as hunky as ever.
The 'Wolverine' star who has featured his stunning physique in a number of blockbuster movies was spotted out on a Hamptons beach with wife Deborra-Lee Furness on Monday, reports Dailymail.

Hugh Jackman just gave away a unique Christmas gift to the staff at boot retailer R.M. Williams.
The 'Logan' star, who until recently owned a five percent share in the Australian footwear and clothing company, gifted a whopping $1.2million dollars to the employees at the Adelaide-based company, as per Dailymail.
The 51-year-old actor who has been the brand’s ambassador since 2019 reportedly gave away the cash gift to 900 staff members as a Christmas bonus.
Employees at the Australian footwear brand company went home with a $1300 Christmas bonus from an 'anonymous shareholder', reports Dailymail.
According to The Courier Mail, it is believed that the 'anonymous shareholder' is none other than Hugh Jackman, who reportedly sold his 5 percent stake in the company in October.
While R.M. Williams did not confirm the identity of the unknown shareholder, the company did share that "a former R.M. Williams shareholder had provided staff with a cash gift.

The long-running feud between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman always manages to put a smile on our face and if it one day leads to the two A-list stars settling their differences and signing up for a Face/Off remake, then long may it continue.
Obviously, the pair are good friends in real life, but it’s always entertaining seeing them poke fun at one another and troll each other in increasingly clever and amusing ways. Whether it’s making fun of upcoming movies that they have in the works, cracking jokes about being crowned Sexiest Man Alive or just some good old-fashioned jabs here and there, the frequent truces never last too long and once more, they’re at it again.
This time, it’s Reynolds stirring up the trouble, as is often the case. After Hugh Jackman took to Twitter to share a new ad for R.M. Williams boots,...

Ryan Reynolds isn't the only one with a penchant for humorous advertisements as his frenemy Hugh Jackman is definitely no slouch in that department. The X-men actor happens to be the Global Boot Ambassador for R.M. Williams, an Australian company known for their "beautiful and purposefully designed footwear" that is "built using 80 hand-crafted processes to deliver superior comfort." A new commercial for R.M. Williams has been released which shows that…...

Two new celeb videos of note today. First, John Lithgow wrote a 'children's' book called "Trumpty Dumpty Wanted a Crown". And he's corralled his famous friends to read the various fables to us: Meryl Streep, Alan Alda, Glenn Close, and The Bening appear in this particular episode!
Second, Hugh Jackman is the brand ambassador for R.M. Williams and is taking his sponsorship contract quite literally in this cheeky bit of promotion.
