Bad Bunny dressed up like Shrek and forced his Saturday Night Live co-workers to act out a sequel to the beloved animated franchise in a sketch produced by the show’s Please Don’t Destroy crew.
In what could have doubled as a Halloween episode sketch, Benito suddenly emerges in the Please Don’t Destroy office in full Shrek costume, asking the trio to participate in a reading of his script Shrek: Infinity, starring the ogre, the donkey, Puss in Boots and, for some reason, Michael Jackson.

For the second week in a row, Saturday Night Live was littered with special guest appearances. Joining host and musical guest Bad Bunny on last night’s episode were The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Lady Gaga, Pedro Pascal, and former SNL cast member Fred Armisen.
Jagger, who previously hosted the show himself in 1978 and 2012, appeared in two sketches alongside Bad Bunny: a spoofing of Sister Act and a sketch in which he and Benito co-starred in a telenovela. Lady Gaga was on hand to introduce Bad Bunny’s performance of “Un Preview,” while Pascal translated the musician’s monologue and later reprised his role in “Protective Moms” (the initial sketch aired earlier this year). Meanwhile, Armisen appeared in a pre-recorded short called “Age of Discovery.”
Other sketches saw Bad Bunny dress up as Shrek with the Please Don’t Destroy guys, and participate in a rap battle opposite Mikey Day.

Campaigning is an essential part of a successful awards season. This year it has been varied with the return of TV appearances in addition to performances for internet media voters may frequent. And campaigning seems as intense as ever, so let’s look at how the potential nominees did so before nomination voting closed on October 20.
SEEBillboard Music Awards announce 2023 revamp, promising ‘a fresh award show concept’
Late night talk shows
Talk shows have always been good campaigning spots, and this year they were even more so. Talk shows went off-air for months due to the WGA strike, so many people were eager to watch them again when they finally came back on the air. Coincidentally, the return of these shows almost matched with the first day of Grammy voting (October 11), so there was a lot of hype that artists could take advantage of.

In the latest Saturday Night Live promo, this week’s host Bad Bunny squares off against this week’s musical guest. That would also be Bad Bunny.
Riffing on the singer-actor’s professed love for professional wrestling, the promo features cast member James Austin Johnson as a WWE-style announcer interviewing a rather soft-spoken “Benito” – Bad Bunny’s birth name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – who says he’s not nervous about the hosting gig. “Hell, no. I love being silly,” says Benito.
At that point, a tougher-looking opponent enters the “ring” to a smoke and heavy metal accompaniment. “Oh my God!,” says Johnson. “It’s Bad Bunny!”
“Well, I’ve got a Weekend Update for you, amigo,” says the sunglassed Bunny to Benito. “You suck.”
Bad Bunny, who was an SNL musical guest on February 20, 2021, has made regular appearances on WWE’s weekly television show Monday Night Raw.

Bad Bunny has a few choice insults for himself in the first promo for his upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.
The singer and actor is set to make his hosting debut for the Oct. 21 episode and will also serve as musical guest. Bad Bunny was previously the musical guest for a season 46 episode that aired in February 2021 and featured host Regé-Jean Page.
In the video released Wednesday, castmember James Austin Johnson introduces the host in a WWE-style segment. When Johnson addresses the performer by his first name, Benito, and asks whether he has any nerves heading into the gig, Bad Bunny replies, “Hell, no. I love being silly.”
Suddenly, a more assertive version of the star enters from the back of the studio while holding a championship belt with the letters “SNL” on it and antagonizes his more mild-mannered counterpart. “Well, I’ve got a weekend update for you,...

Bad Bunny is the most-streamed artist on the planet, a status further underscored by the fact that his new album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, is certain to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 album chart. He’s a fashion icon, a WWE mainstay, a gods-gift to both tabloid editors and internet rubberneckers. His last album, 2022’s Un Verano Sin Ti, was among his most eclectic to date, incorporating indie luminaries from the world of Latin pop to both expand the boundaries of reggaeton and (possibly...

John Leguizamo has bluntly explained why he will not be watching The Super Mario Bros Movie.
In November, the Latin actor criticised the casting of Chris Pratt and Charlie Day in the animated film, which is out on Friday (7 April).
Leguizamo, who played Luigi in a 1993 live-action film based on the video game, described the casting as “backwards”.
Now, he has said there is no way he’ll be watching the new version, stating “hell no” when asked.
“I will not [be watching],” he told TMZ, adding: “They could’ve included a Latin character.”
Leguizamo continued: “They stopped the ground-breaking. They messed up the inclusion; they dis-included. Just cast some Latin folk.
“We’re 20 per cent of the population. The largest people of colour group and we are underrepresented.”
Speaking about his former role in November, Leguizamo highlighted the lengths the 1993 film’s directors, Annabel Jankel and Rocky Morton, went to in...
