This will be a pretty interesting Fall for Marvel fans. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will spawn one new movie, ‘The Marvels’, and the second season of the ‘Loki’ Disney+ series. But apart from that, Spider-Man fans are looking forward to ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,’ the highly anticipated video game developed by Insomniac Games that serves as the sequel to 2018’s original ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ and its spin-off ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales,’ which was released in 2020.
The original ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ game is the most successful first-party game ever released on PS4, with over 20 million copies sold. Two years later, when ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ was released as a launching title for PS5, the original game also received a remastered version for PS5, in which Peter Parker’s face was changed. The thing is that John Bubniak provided motion capture for the original release of the first game, and Ben Jordan replaced him in...

"The target is surround, we await further instructions." Black Mandala has revealed a first look trailer for an indie sci-fi creation called The Last Boy on Earth, an anthology film with around eight segments in total to enjoy. There's no final premiere date set yet, but it will be released sometime later in 2023. Here's the only synopsis available so far: In a distant future, an enigmatic boy becomes the central figure in the search for a new hope. Who is this kid? Why is everyone looking for it? Sometimes it is better not to know certain answers... I'm also wondering if this kid is in every segment? The cast includes Camilo Levigne, Raymond Lee, Hugo "Kato" Quiril, Joshua Grothe, Arben Bajraktaraj, John Bubniak, and Sam Hoare. This has plenty of imagery that's lifted directly from Blade Runner (and other sci-fi movies) but it still looks damn good, with impressive VFX and different stories to watch.

Insomniac’s PlayStation 4 mega hit Spider-Man ranks among one of the best-selling titles of the eighth generation of consoles – and for good reason, too. With its emotionally-charged story and outstanding gameplay, which earned itself nearly universal praise from critics, the developers managed to tap into and expand on exactly what has made Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego so beloved by comic and movie fans for nearly six decades.
Its new sequel, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, is a fun but unsurprising journey worth picking up if you just snagged a PlayStation 5 at launch and want a graphical showcase with flashy combat. But if you’re new to the series or simply want to relive the first story in Insomniac’s universe, the $70 Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition includes Spider-Man Remastered, which as the title suggests, grants some snazzy upgrades to the phenomenal original game – as well as its three comparatively...

Peter Parker is a man of many faces, and not just across different mediums.
In the case of Insomniac’s Spider-Man alone, in fact, he now has two wildly different visages and some fans aren’t convinced that his newly redesigned mug in the upcoming PlayStation 5 remaster is any better than the original. According to the game’s developer, of course, the decision isn’t a result of model John Bubniak’s face not being pretty enough but rather, that its structure isn’t the right match for Yuri Lowenthal’s vocal cords. What it is, exactly, that’s changed between both versions that necessitates such a drastic alteration is still a hazy topic, but it largely matters not, as Ben Jordan’s Parker is now here to stay.
The controversy has, however, prompted Instagram user and artist Samuel Cheve to create their own interpretation of the character for the remaster,...

As is the sad, depressing norm whenever creatives make controversial but ultimately inconsequential decisions, some ‘fans’ simply can’t help but grossly overreact to the situation.
As many will no doubt have learned by now, Insomniac Games’ original Spider-Man title, released back in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, is all set to get a well-deserved remaster next month for Sony’s next-gen console. Boasting sharper textures, silky smooth 60 fps (performance mode) and a shopping list’s length list of miscellaneous improvements, this version of the web-slinger’s adventure is almost certainly intended to be the definitive iteration, with several teaser trailers released last week already proving as such.
Those are all welcome changes, then, though one that isn’t and continues to be a sorely contentious issue, is the developer’s decision to give Peter Parker a complete makeover. In order to better accommodate voice artist Yuri Lowenthal’s performance as Parker in the remaster,...

Developer Insomniac Games has recast Peter Parker’s face model in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in an attempt to better utilize the visual upgrades offered by the PS5 and to set the series up for its future on the next-gen console. When Peter Parker appears on the PS5, it’ll be with the face of Ben Jordan and not John Bubniak.
As you might expect, the fan reaction to this change has been…interesting so far. In fact, the first thing that most people pointed out is that Peter Parker’s new face actor bears more than a passing resemblance to current big-screen Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland.

Insomniac has revealed new details about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and the biggest news may just be that the extent of the remaster’s visual upgrades required the studio to recast Peter Parker’s actor.
“In order to bring the best performances to players with our next-generation Marvel’s Spider-Man games, we have recast the face of Peter Parker,” reads a blog post from Insomniac Games community director, James Stevenson. “We loved working with John Bubniak on the original game; however, to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture, we have cast Ben Jordan to be the face model for Peter Parker on the PS5 console. He looks incredible in-game, and Yuri’s moving performances take on a new life.”
For reference, here’s a photo comparison of the old Peter Parker model on the left and the Remastered one on the right...
