Lithuanian born filmmaker Modestas Mankus made his directorial debut with his experimental short 'As He Looked Into His Computer Screen'. The film was part of the official selection in film festivals such as SE10 and Dirigo International Film Festival, which began his career in the world of cinema. His influences range from Russian poetic filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky to the Godfather of Avant-Garde cinema Jonas Mekas, who was his mentor numerous times and whom Mankus interviewed for Our Culture Mag.
