Mollywood 'Kumbalangi Nights' is the directorial debut of Madhu C Natayanan.Tnm StaffAfter the delightfully puzzling teaser for Kumbalangi Nights, released on January 4th, that showed Shane Nigam, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, and Matthew Thomas popping and locking to classical music while a woman records them and cheers them on, the film’s official trailer has just been released. The 2.20 minute long trailer begins with a group of local children sitting by a backwater, discussing the news that Simi Chechi has just gotten married to one rather mysterious Shammi. Replete with local language and inflections, they discuss how Fahadh Faasil’s Shammi is “serious”. The trailer cuts to snapshots of various other cast members, and seems to tell the story of four brothers, and a couple, Bobby and Baby. It’s full of contemporary slang (one character is referred to as a “freakken”), matter-of-fact jokes and watery motifs.
