Ken Goldfarb

Ken was born in Brooklyn and lived most of his early years in each of four of NYC's five boroughs before transferring from CCNY to Penn State University where he received a BA in Broadcast Journalism. Following a stint in the Army as a TV cameraman he returned to NYC working in radio production and then upstate as a radio news director and then newspaper reporter and bureau chief covering news stories in Sullivan, Orange and Ulster counties . His news reporting career then led to covering the NYS Capital in Albany for the Schenectady Gazette. That was followed by a a career in public relations. He continues to do freelance writing and PR consulting while pursuing his acting interests. He has been a longtime resident of Catskill, NY.
Ken began acting with the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop in the 1970s. After a long hiatus, he resumed community theater work in the greater Capital Region of New York in 2007. Since then he has acted in dozens of theatrical productions, several of which have featured his talent for accents. Most recently his best role was as Benny Silverman, the lead in "The Value of Names," a 3-character play by Jeffrey Sweet. Ken also has had a variety of roles in several short student films. He recently has enjoyed the opportunity to appear as background in several feature films, most notably "Shirley," scheduled for release later this year, 2019.
He has two grown children who also reside in Catskill.
