- Tier Ataing is a South Sudanese Australian Actor who has made a name for himself in the Theatre scene. He is best known for his role as John Hale, the conflicted minister who tries to save the accused from the witch trials, in the Australian Shakespeare Company's adaptation of The Crucible. He also starred as Mr. Franklin, the charismatic Choir Director who mentors the protagonist, in Antipodes Theatre Company's production of Passing Strange, the musical based on the life of singer-songwriter Stew. In addition to his stage work, Tier has appeared in several television shows, such as Mr. Black, a comedy about a grumpy father who moves in with his daughter and her boyfriend, and The Family Law, a dramedy about a Chinese Australian family dealing with divorce and cultural clashes.
