After The Traitors took the world by storm, high concept reality shows which aren’t about dating are hot property.
The Underdog: Josh Must Win is the latest bingeable reality show “with a twist” and it appears to be setting itself up as a series which pierces the image of the typical reality contestant in favour of elevating an average bloke called Josh, who is neither especially handsome, nor polished, nor confident and therefore is not what we have come to expect from such shows. It’s pitched as a nicer brand of reality show. But is it, really?
The set up is this: nine contestants think they are on a popularity contest called “The Favourite”, but secretly they are actually in a show called “Josh Must Win” and are being manipulated off screen by four “celebrities” – presenter Nick Grimshaw and former reality stars Vicky Pattison, Amber Gill and Pete Wicks...

Celebrity Sas: Who Dares Wins viewers spotted an uncanny lookalike of UK prime minister Liz Truss during the series finale on Sunday (16 October).
The Channel 4 reality show’s finale saw stars including EastEnders’ Maisie Smith, Strictly Come Dancing’s Aj Pritchard and Towie’sFerne McCann all pass the intense Special Air Services screening process.
But many fans of the show were distracted by one of the Sas interrogators, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Truss.
“Has anyone noticed the interrogator on Celeb Sas bears a remarkable resemblance to Liz Truss?” one viewer wrote on Twitter.
“Liz Truss on Celebrity Sas tonight. She is a much better interrogator than she is Prime Minister,” said another.
“Is Liz Truss’ absence explained by her moonlighting as the female interrogator in Celebrity Sas: Who Dares Wins?” someone else joked.

Animal rescuers from Humane Society International have saved more than 170 dogs languishing on a squalid dog meat farm in South Korea, and The Only Way Is Essex’s Pete Wicks joined the rescue team on what he described as one of the most emotional experiences of his life.
Thirteen of the dogs will fly to a shelter in the UK in the New Year after completing their quarantine. The rest will fly to the United States and Canada.
The dog meat farm in Namyangju is one of an estimated 17,000 dog farms in South Korea breeding more than 2.5 million dogs a year for human consumption. It is situated a mere two hour drive from where the country will host the 2018 Winter Olympics in 10 weeks’ time. It is a grim, shocking and largely hidden side of South Korea that is in stark contrast to the colourful pomp and ceremony of the Olympic festivities,...

It looks like things could be over for The Only Way is Essex's troubled couple Arg and Lydia, when they fail to resolve their issues in tonight's episode.
Instead of clearing the air, she texts him and asks him for more time to think.
However, Arg doesn't have much time for tears when Tommy, Dan and Diags arrive to take him camping for the night.
Elsewhere, others are having a nicer time when it comes to matters of the heart - Lockie and Danni continue to flirt and a reunion for the pair could be on the cards.
Also up for a possible reunion are Jake and Chloe. Lewis and Nicole also build bridges but Mike turning up could ruin things.
Meanwhile, when Ferne, Danni, Billie and Pete have a lunch date, baby Nelly takes a shine to 'perfect man' Pete.
The Only Way Is Essex continues on October 28 at 10pm on ITVBe.

Remember when The Only Way is Essex was all about sporting the very best Vajazzle in Brentwood, Amy Child's cousin constantly saying "shuuuuut up", and that impenetrable love triangle between Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger and Lucy Mecklenburgh?

Muscle-bound Mark Wright was mostly muddled over whether he wanted to go out with childhood sweetheart Lauren Goodger or Essex rival Lucy Mecklenburg in the debut series of Towie.

When The Only Way Is Essex started, it shook up television. Here was a soap opera... but with real people! It's hard to remember now that we've had everything from Desperate Scousewives to The Valleys, but at the time it was genuinely revolutionary.
Sure, it had its critics, but Towie quickly became a phenomenon - ordinary people were asking for vajazzles at their local salons; some started using the word "reem" in complete seriousness. And then, after the rise, came the fall. The backlash. The original cast members leaving. The complaints that it was all a bit samey. The utter nadir of Towie Live (let's never talk of that again).
But slowly, quietly, Towie has been working hard to get its mojo back - and golly, we think it's done it.
The latest series of the show - which came to an end last night - has been funny, witty,...

The Only Way Is Essex star Mario Falcone has backed new cast member Pete Wicks in his row with the boys.
Lewis Bloor and Tommy Mallet have fallen out with Pete in recent episodes after accusing him of being two-faced in the clash between Tommy and Ferne McCann.

They think they're like the mafia and they're really not - they're a bunch of 20-something boys from Essex. Pete's a new guy - I think it boils down to them being threatened.

Jessica Wright is rumoured to be leaving the ITVBe show at the end of its current series, in order to launch her own TV career.
