The actress — who currently recurs on the aforementioned drama as Ivy Pepper, aka Poison Ivy — has been cast in Fox’s untitled Gone Baby Gone adaptation, our sister site Deadline reports.
The project centers on private detectives Patrick Kenzie (The Originals‘ Joseph Morgan) and Angela Gennaro (List), who work to solve cases the law can’t in a working-class Boston borough. List’s character was played by Michelle Monaghan in the 2007 movie of the same name.
List’s other TV credits include Frequency, The Flash, The Tomorrow People and Mad Men.

Hence why it was announced Monday that Joseph Morgan, current star of CW’s The Originals TV series, will be turning in vampire lore for some New England hospitality - by way of Boston’s famed Dorchester neighborhood.
Morgan will be one of the two leads of the series where he’ll play Patrick Kenzie, Dennis Lehane’s famous literary private eye and all-around hard case. In the original Gone Baby Gone novel, the fourth in the Kenzie-Gennaro book series, Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro are private investigators hired to look into the disappearance of a little girl.

According to TV Line, Morgan has landed the male lead on the TV series adaptation of Gone Baby Gone.
Morgan will take on the role of Patrick Kenzie in the untitled series. Patrick and Angela Gennaro are private detectives who are determined to make sure they can bring people to justice for the crimes they commit.
It will be set in Dorchester, Boston, and yeah, it sure sounds like Patrick and Angela will have a whole lot of chemistry.
