The animated series ran for 52 episodes across four seasons and was the first introduction to Mutants for an entirely new generation of superhero fans. However, the series failed to bring to life one of the X-Men’s deadliest foes.
Mr. Sinister as depicted in Marvel Comics

There are very few Marvel franchises that are as popular and beloved as the X-Men, since they have had a strong grip over quite a few mediums in the past several decades. With that said, most fans fondly remember their numerous animated shows, especially X-Men: Evolution.
X-Men ’97
X-Men ’97 might be the latest show featuring everyone’s favorite mutants, but many fans truly believe X-Men: Evolution deserved a reboot instead, especially considering the huge steps the show took back in the day.

Just when you think you’ve seen every 1980s slasher flick, Vinegar Syndrome humbles you by unearthing yet another low-budget horror film lost in time and space, this time with 1984’s Fatal Games (originally titled The Killing Touch).
Fatal Games is the story of Olympic-hopeful medalists being systematically picked off one-by-one at the Falcon Academy, the main setting for the film’s events. Each time one of the characters has been nixed, the killer scratches out their likeness from a group photo containing the academy’s pool of victims.
If you think this sounds similar to 1981’s Graduation Day, you would be on the right track. Director Michael Elliot, who also stars in his film as Dr. Jordine, builds onto the foundation of Graduation Day to create his own ’80s horror film. In between the killings, we are treated to some detailed character development storylines including the trials and tribulations of being a young athlete,...

Exclusive: Culture Creative Entertainment, the nascent talent agency founded by former Abrams Artists Agency agents Brad Rosenfeld, Paul Weitzman and Karen Kirkland, has a new agent.
The company has promoted Adrian Gonzalez to agent.
Gonzalez joined the company as an intern before becoming executive assistant on Kirkland’s desk and then a year later was promoted to a literary coordinator.
It is the latest move for the company, which earlier this year hired Netflix’s Sherley Ibarra as a literary agent.
Rosenfeld and Weitzman, who were previously co-heads of Abrams Artists Agency, which was rebranded to A3 Artists Agency in March 2020, and fellow lit agent Kirkland set up the company in July 2019 and signed the WGA’s new franchise agreement during the standoff between the guild and the Association of Talent Agents, which led to more than 7,000 writers firing their agents.

This article contains spoilers for Yellowstone season 5 episodes 1-2.
Audiences have made Yellowstone’s Dutton clan television royalty for a reason. For 150 years within their fictional Montana kingdom, the Duttons have fought for their family and their legacy – and they fight hard. The way they play the game may have changed over that century and a half – trading guns for law degrees, or governorships – but their family motto remains the same throughout the generations. They will win at any cost.
In the 41 episodes we’ve been given so far, those who have opposed Montana’s first family have usually met a nefarious end, taking a one-way trip to the “train station.” Many have tried to destroy the Duttons or a part of the land they love, and while some enemies have certainly come close, no one has truly been a match.
That may soon change.
Still in its infancy, season...

Douglas Kirkland, the highly respected movie set photographer best known for his iconic — there’s no other word for it — pictures of Marilyn Monroe taken in 1961, died Sunday, his family announced Tuesday. He was 88.
His family told The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported his death, that he died of natural causes in his Los Angeles home.
Kirkland, born in Toronto in 1934 but raised in the United States, began his luminous career in 1960 at age 26, having previously taught photography at a high school. Hired as a staff photographer for Look magazine, the next year he made his mark with his photos of Monroe for Look’s 25th anniversary. The images, in which an almost angelic Monroe lay naked under white bedsheets, were released just a year before her death and have since endured as some of her defining images.

Tyrannosaurus Rex. Brachiosaurus. Triceratops. Velociraptor.
All of these wacky dinosaur names are known in large part due to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 sensation “Jurassic Park,” which has now spawned its fifth sequel in “Jurassic World Dominion.” Supposedly ending the Jurassic Park saga, the sixth film in the series features more characters, more danger and more dinos. Yet, of all those names listed above, one has been absolutely mischaracterized throughout the entire series: the velociraptor.
“Jurassic Park” author Michael Crichton was many things — a doctor of medicine, a trained anthropologist and even a film director. But what he wasn’t was a dinosaur expert.
“There had been a book that lumped Deinonychus into Velociraptor, which is stupid,” Utah state paleontologist Jim Kirkland told Variety. The book in question is Greg Paul’s 1988 book “Predatory Dinosaurs of the World,” which “Jurassic Park” author Michael Crichton used as research for his own novel.
“No one believed that!
