The Crown Prince of Gotham is one of the most enigmatic characters in comic book history. Joker is the literal personification of the limit to which the human psyche can be corrupted; however, fans have long theorized about a secret Joker superpower that made him so unique.
This superpower was recently made canonical in Batman #145 by Chip Zdarsky and Jorge Jiménez. In the comic, it is revealed that Daniel Captio, the mentor of Batman, also trained Joker in the same mental techniques, unlocking his superhuman power.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, the anime-inspired live-action series, will be able to tell the story of the four nations: Water. Earth. Fire. Air after Netflix renewed it for a further two seasons.
The streamer has handed the show a two-season renewal order to conclude the story of Aang’s journey to become the Avatar.
It comes after the show premiered on Netflix on February 22 and recorded 41.1M views in its first 11 days, topping its TV list for the last two weeks and being on track to enter its top ten most-watched list over its first three months.

At some point in the near future, there ought to be a book written about Swedish media company Embracer Group and its impact on the videogame industry.
For now, we’ll simply focus on the latest sorry episode in an ongoing saga: it’s been announced that Embracer has abruptly cancelled a Deus Ex game in development at Eidos Montreal – a project the studio had been working on for about two years. At the same time, 97 staff have been laid off – a figure later confirmed by Eidos Montreal in a statement.

Only Aang can save the world from the Fire Nation in the full trailer for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. The two-minute trailer provides a good look at the live-action series’ fight sequences and visual effects. It also introduces the world of the Avatar to audiences who didn’t catch Nickelodeon’s award-winning animated series.
“Avatar is an epic fantasy set in a world inspired by Asian and Indigenous folklore, culture and legend. In this world there are four nations which correspond to the four classical elements: water, earth, fire, air. Certain people in the world can manipulate those elements using a power known as ‘bending,'” says Albert Kim, writer, executive producer, and showrunner, describing the plot. “At the start of our story, the Fire Nation has embarked on a campaign to conquer the world, and the only person who can stop the war is the Avatar, the master of all four elements.

Is the Saudi-Hollywood love affair back on?
Judging by the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, which wrapped on Dec. 9, the answer is yes. A parade of stars including Will Smith, Michelle Williams, Chris Hemsworth, Johnny Depp and Halle Berry made the pilgrimage to Jeddah even as the Israel-Hamas conflict raged just 700 miles north.
This year’s guest list signals a dramatic reversal in relations from five years ago, when Hollywood’s outrage campaign was in full swing following the murder of The Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi at the hands of Saudi government agents. In the aftermath, WME’s Ari Emanuel cut ties with the kingdom, returning its $400 million investment just six months after courting Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Los Angeles.
While enticing big-name talent this year generated positive publicity, the real Saudi mandate is to diversify the country’s economy beyond oil,...

Hwang Seung Gi and Kim Soo Jin have directed the Korean period drama series, The Matchmakers, which showcases the strict rules and beliefs revolving around marriage in the old Korean culture. With easygoing characters, the plot of the drama is quite predictable, and we are able to predict the intentions of the characters almost instantly at the very beginning of the series. The ways of the matchmakers and the social stigma associated with them are also a major focus of the show. The drama is replete with royal politics, and the injustices that are faced by the widows. Despite being well-stocked with serious issues, the drama makes them all look light, with hints of comic relief added to each scene. Will Jeong Soon Deok be able to serve her life’s purpose as a good matchmaker? Will Shim Jeong Woo be able to go beyond the King’s rules marrying again?...

In the past few hours, Football Australia has pulled out of the running, leaving Saudi Arabia the only nation bidding to host the global tournament in a decade’s time.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Saudi Arabia’s Sports Minister, said the World Cup bid “constitutes an important and natural step in our journey as a country passionate about football”.

In a country where women’s freedoms have historically been marginalized (a nationwide ban on female drivers was only lifted five years ago), new Mbc Studios boss Christina Wayne is determined to seek out the strongest female creative voices Saudi Arabia has to offer.
In her first major interview since replacing Peter Smith in February, American producer Wayne, who shepherded Mad Men and Breaking Bad for AMC Networks, tells Deadline how the Riyadh-based media giant is encouraging work from “across all genders” but lasering in on new female talent.
“We have lots of amazing female writers and directors in the region who are bringing us fabulous stories,” she says. “There are book series here with fanbases that are young and female, and they are surprisingly interested in fantasy and sci-fi.”

Apart from South Indian cinema, Bengali cinema too seems to be going pan-Indian as Bengali cinema superstar Dev’s much anticipated film, the biopic ‘Bagha Jatin’ based on the revolutionary freedom fighter has released its Hindi trailer. Featuring some state-of-the-art quality production, the trailer is visually stunning and has some very emotional and well written dialogues. In more ways than one, ‘Bagha Jatin’ seems to have a very identical similarity with the Telugu blockbuster film ‘Rrr’ which is also combined with some flavour of the Sunny Deol-starrer-blockbuster film ‘Gadar 2’.
The trailer kicks off with Bagha Jatin’ son telling him that he too wants to kill a tiger just like his father did. However, smiling at him, the fighter says that it was a mistake to do so and he had little choice as it is wrong to kill an animal.
The trailer then shows several scenes ranging from personal family drama to gathering partners,...

Thanasi Kokkinakis was asked about having Saudi Arabia involved in tennis, and he thinks that it's a good thing that will benefit the sport.
Much has been talked about Saudi Arabia's involvement in tennis, with most players taking either a neutral or positive approach. It's a rather simple transaction: the country wants to have sports in the country, and players are excited about the financial ramifications that any kind of involvement will entail.
In a recent interview, the Crown Prince of the country dismissed claims of sportwashing , framing the involvement in sports as something that will help grow its Gdp. From the player's perspective, the involvement of a country known for its generous spending on athletes is very enticing. It is what Kokkinakis mentioned when he was asked about it in an interview with Claytenis.
I think anything to grow the game, anything to get players paid what I think they’re worth,...
