Annabelle: Creation is one of 2017’s scariest films!
Variety reports: “Annabelle: Creation,” which conjured $35 million in its opening to dominate an otherwise lackluster frame last weekend, will wind up the weekend with about $64 million in its first 10 days. The film is the fourth in New Line’s highly profitable “Conjuring” universe and should see the combined worldwide grosses hit the $1 billion mark this weekend, thanks to 2013’s “The Conjuring,” 2014’s “Annabelle,” 2016’s “The Conjuring 2,” and “Annabelle: Creation.” Next up is “The Nun,” starring Taissa Farmiga and Demian Bichir and due out July 13.
In his review, Michael Haffner says “it proudly stands next to The Conjuring films as delivering real scares. What helps with this is making the audience afraid of not just the doll, but of what other being is haunting the house as well as the always hidden mother. It’s a terrifying trifecta that fits perfectly into the ominous surroundings.

New Line Cinema’s Annabelle: Creation —the follow up to 2014’s hugely successful film Annabelle —will arrive in theatres on August 11, 2017.
WaterTower Music has released the soundtrack from the film, which you can order here.
Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Benjamin Wallfisch (upcoming It, A Cure For Wellness, Lights Out) is recognized as one of the leading film composers of his generation. His masterfully unnerving 24-track Annabelle: Creation film score offers a potent dimension of eeriness that magnifies the suspenseful discomfort when set against picture.

“It’s always a joy to collaborate with David F. Don't write this Annabelle: Creation film off because the first movie wasn't that good. That first Annabelle film was rushed into production to capitalize off the success of The Conjuring. But, this sequel is the real deal. This sequel looks like a great film that tells a great story, and I'm totally excited about seeing it! I've heard great things about this film from people who have seen it, and if you're a fan of horror films, you won't want to miss out on this one.
Today we have a couple new clips from the film for you to watch. These are both pretty fun clips and each one offers up a wonderfully creepy scene that I think you'll enjoy.
Annabelle: Creation tells the tale of a dollmaker and his wife who, several years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home.

So much attention has been paid to Warner Bros. and New Line’s future plans for their fledgling Conjuring universe that it’s almost easy to forget that the latest instalment, Annabelle: Creation, is right around the corner.
Pegged for theatrical release on August 11th, the nightmarish prequel comes to us by way of Swedish director David F. Sandberg, who made waves in Hollywood’s horror genre thanks to last year’s Lights Out – a skillful, expertly crafted thriller that had smarts and scares. What makes Lights Out all the more impressive is that it’s actually Sandberg’s feature film debut, after spending his early career crafting low-budget horror shorts. Now, he’s been offered a shot at the mainstream, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Perhaps the only thing creepier than a haunted house is a haunted dollhouse, and that's only one of several paranormal items featured in the new Annabelle: Creation Vr experience that you can watch right now ahead of the film's August release.
"This cinematic paranormal Vr experience places you in the haunted bedroom of a child, where you are trapped in a game of hide-and-seek with Annabelle. In two months’ time, Warner Bros. and New Line will peel back the curtain on their latest installment in the ever-evolving Conjuring universe. Its name? Annabelle: Creation, a horror sequel coming by way of David F. Sandberg.
If that name rings a bell, it should; following up on a string of no-budget shorts, two years ago Sandberg delivered a cracking feature film debut in the form of Lights Out, and the picture proved so successful – so downright terrifying – that the filmmaker was quickly drafted into the Conjuring universe.
It’s fast becoming one of the biggest horror franchises in Hollywood, too, what with plans in place for multiple spinoffs (see: The Nun and The Crooked Man) along with a third Conjuring film to be written by franchise veteran David Leslie Johnson. Director James Wan is yet to sign on for the threequel, though if Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have their way,...

Last April LRMOnline was present at the exclusive first look at some footage, and trailer, for New Line Cinema's Annabelle: Creation. This film is the prequel to the 2014 film Annabelle and it is the fourth film in The Conjuring franchise. It is written by Gary Dauberman, directed by David Sandberg, produced by Peter Safran and James Wan and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. This film will focus on the story about the origin of the possessed Annabelle doll.
In real life, the Annabelle doll is actually a Raggedy Ann doll that is currently on display at The Warrens' Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. According to demonologiost Ed and Lorraine Warren, this doll is haunted. The story goes that in the 70's the owner of the doll noticed that the doll was being very strange, and through a psychic she found out that apparently is was inhabited by the spirit of a dead girl named Annabelle Higgins. After a while the behavior of the doll became bad enough that the Warrens were contacted to remove the doll and take it to their museum. Of course this is all speculation, no one can really prove if it was real or not.
As for the film itself here is the synopsis for the film:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle.
The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran and Samara Lee.
Although this is not my type of film, I will say that I am very interested in the origin story. From the extra footage that I got to see at Wondercon it seems like it will be quite suspenseful and filled with moments that will make you jump. This may be one worth checking out. Is Annabelle: Creation on your radar? Chime in below!

I'm a huge fan of The Conjuring films, but I didn't really care for the first Annabelle spinoff film. It was disappointing and I didn't think it was very good or very scary. But this sequel, Annabelle: Creation, actually looks like it could really be good and it could actually bring terror into people's lives! Maybe it's because it deals with orphan kids stuck in a house in the middle of nowhere being tormented by a haunted doll. To take things to another level of intensity, one of the main little girl characters has a handicap that prevents her from getting away fast when the demon comes after her. Here's the synopsis:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation,...

From the Dark Universe to the MonsterVerse, the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Warner’s rejuvenated DC Extended Universe – you can thank Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman movie for delivering the studio’s first bona fide critical hit – you don’t have to search too far to locate one of Hollywood’s interconnected franchises.
On the horror side of things, Warner Bros. has been making serious headway on its Conjuring universe in recent years, commissioning a full-blown sequel in The Enfield Poltergeist and multiple spinoffs. That expansion took the form of 2014’s Annabelle, John R. Leonetti’s horror prequel that scared up $256 million worldwide. An impressive feat, given it was tethered to a shoestring budget of just $6.5 million.

The Conjuring Universe is taking a trip down memory lane to reveal the true origin of the terrifying Annabelle doll. Take a look at the full-length trailer for Annabelle: Creation.
Previously titled Annabelle 2, Annabelle: Creation is the story of how the demonic demon doll came to be. The production of an origin story seems a bit frivolous when you consider that the first Annabelle was practically an origin. Creation looks to be an origin to the origin, and boy is it a hell of a beginning!

Today it’s the turn of Annabelle, the creepy doll from The Conjuring that is scaring up the web with the first trailer for Annabelle: Creation, which opens this summer.
The first film, released in 2014, was directed by John R. Leonetti and grossed over $256.9million at the worldwide box office from a budget of just $6.5million. And as with many modern horror films, profits and success have led to a sequel which is being directed by Lights Out helmer David F. Sandberg.

Annabelle 2 is set to come out later this year, and the good folks over at New Line Cinema are hoping to build on the following created by the first film, which was a spinoff from James Wan's very successful horror film The Conjuring. The Annabelle doll was introduced in that film, and she sparked enough interest to get her own flick. The first Annabelle made $257 million when it came out in 2014, on a budget of only $6.5 million.
Annabelle 2 is being directed by David F. Sandberg, who directed last summer's very well-received scary movie Lights Out. The film is set to star Stephanie Sigman (“Spectre”), Talitha Bateman (“The 5th Wave”), Lulu Wilson (upcoming “Ouija 2,” “Deliver Us from Evil”), Philippa Coulthard (“After the Dark”), Grace Fulton (“Badland”), Lou Lou Safran (“The Choice”), Samara Lee (“Foxcatcher,” “The Last Witch Hunter”), Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony Lapaglia...

After summoning the Enfield Poltergeist with last year’s hit horror sequel The Conjuring 2, New Line Cinema has all hands at the pump in anticipation of Annabelle 2, David F. Sandberg’s long-awaited continuation that’s set to usher that titular, downright terrifying puppet back into the limelight.
Sandberg, who wowed moviegoers and critics alike with the impressive Lights Out, is directing from a script penned by Gary Dauberman. Peter Safran and James Wan – one of the founding fathers of the Conjuring film series – are attached to produce, with the official Annabelle 2 synopsis teasing all sorts of horrors for a dollmaker and his unsuspecting family.

There used to be this creepy-ass doll in my family that we would scare the shit out of each other with. We'd hide it in places and sneak it in places where we'd unsuspectingly find it. It all started when I snuck into my brother's bedroom while he was sleeping and placed it at the end of the bed sitting down staring at him. He woke up the whole house with the wonderful sounds of blood-curdling screams.
Anyway, this new photo that was released for the upcoming horror film Annabelle 2 reminded me of that. If I ever walked into my room at night and a doll like this was sitting up on my bed I'd take it and burn it. It would definitely send chills down my spine! I'm surprised that the poor girl in the photo isn't shown running out screaming like my little brother did.

Swedish filmmaker David F. Sandberg impressed many a horror fan with the release of Lights Out, his directorial debut spun out from a short film of the same name. It even wowed the vast majority of critics, pulled in more than $160 million worldwide, and earned a sequel order from New Line.
But before being drawn back into the cult series, Sandberg has the small matter of helming a high-profile spinoff to tackle, and it goes by the name of Annabelle 2. Nipping at the heels of yesterday’s tease, we now have our grubby paws on the inaugural teaser for the 2017 feature – and yes, it heralds the return of the titular doll in typically creepy fashion.

If you needed another reason to stay the Hell away from creepy looking dolls, the first teaser for Annabelle 2 has arrived to put a new spin on tea parties. Come inside to check it out!
Annabelle, the spooky doll from The Conjuring which sparked it's own spin-off movie series makes her return in the first look at footage from Annabelle 2:
Annabelle has always been interesting to me, mostly because it has such an odd place within these movies. The Conjuring really wasn't about the doll's possession, and despite the marketing focusing on it, only took up a little bit of screentime. The first spin-off was...okay. The plot was all over the place and aside from a few jump scares, felt all over the place.
Obviously this first trailer for Annabelle 2 doesn't do much in terms of the film's plot, but it does a solid job...

Lights Out director David F. Sandberg and producer James Wan are reteaming for Annabelle 2, the sequel to the spin-off of The Conjuring that concentrates on the possessed doll eventually found by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. This one has a cast that includes Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (upcoming Ouija 2, Deliver Us From Evil), Philippa Anne Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (Foxcatcher, The Last Witch Hunter), Tayler Buck, with Anthony Lapaglia (TV’s Without a Trace) and Miranda Otto (Showtime’s Homeland, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy), and it hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
Warner Bros. has just released a video they're billing as an "announcement tease," and it's sufficiently spooky, largely because they don't show too much of what's going on and let your imagination do most of the heavy lifting.

Mark your diaries; an Annabelle 2 announcement teaser is due to drop tomorrow and while we wait, there’s an eerie new set photo to pour over.
Hailing from director David F. The evil doll who debuted in James Wan's The Conjuring, who managed to get a spin-off movie, has also managed to get a sequel. Today marks the start of principal photography for Annabelle 2 revealing the newcomers to the cast and who's behind the camera. Come inside to check it out!
I can't sit here and say Annabelle was a movie I really enjoyed. It had it's okay moments, but on the whole didn't live up to the fear factor laid out with The Conjuring. From September 2016
Off the back of the sizeable success of his debut feature film, Lights Out, director David F Sandberg has been hard at work on the sequel to The Conjuring spin-off, Annabelle.
Cunningly entitled Annabelle 2, a special announcement trailer has now been released, as well as the first official synopsis for the film. If you don’t like creepy doll stories, it’s probably best to give this trailer a miss. If you do…
