Doctor Who fans were gifted with something very special today as the BBC released a new short which acts as an epilogue to beloved spinoff show The Sarah Jane Adventures. The series came to a premature end after five seasons back in 2011, following leading lady Elisabeth Sladen tragically passing away. Nine years later, creator Russell T. Davies has managed to regroup many of the cast – remotely, of course – for a poignant tale that wraps up the Sja team’s adventures.
In doing so, it reveals where Sarah Jane’s young friends Rani Chandra (Anjli Mohindra), Clyde Langer (Daniel Anthony) and her son Luke Smith (Thomas Knight) are now, with them all going on to successful careers. Once an aspiring journalist, we learn Rani is about to publish an expose that will topple the British government. Meanwhile, Clyde – who dreamt of working in comics in the show – is said to be...

To keep Whovians entertained while we’re stuck indoors during this period of quarantine, Doctor Who creatives past and present have been sharing new content online, with many of them featuring the return of fan favorite stars. The best of the lot, though, has to be this new video – released today – which finally wraps up beloved spinoff show The Sarah Jane Adventures in the most emotional, satisfying way.
First of all, in case you aren’t aware, Sja followed classic companion Sarah Jane Smith’s adventures after her life with the Doctor. It had a successful five season run from 2007 to 2011, and was only brought to a premature end when leading lady Elisabeth Sladen passed away. The series never got a proper conclusion, then, but creator Russell T. Davies has now brought together various familiar faces to give it a finale at long last.
The 13-minute video, titled “Farewell, Sarah Jane,...

Companions have left the Doctor on their own accord or met a much more tragic end.
Some stories we saw on screen, some we didn't.
Doctor Who: 19 Times Bad Wolf Connected the Doctor and Rose Tyler
Here are some Doctor Who companions and characters we believe should have another go in the Tardis, or perhaps healm their very own spin off! Spoilers, they aren't all investigative journalists with robot dogs.
1. Luke Smith: K9 and Co Luke Smith: Sarah Jane Smith's adopted son in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Grown from DNA by the Bane, he's not fully human and would be a big target for aliens on his own. He shared adventures with Sarah Jane and his mates, Maria Jackson, Clyde Langer and Rani Chandra in the spin-off show, which was sadly canceled after the untimely death of Elizabeth Sladen. He has the brain of a million humans and...

Bungie remains committed to Destiny 2 moving forward.
In case there was any doubt, Bungie wants you to know that developing Destiny 2 is the company's top priority moving forward.
"Long-term, Bungie is committed to Destiny," says Destiny director Luke Smith via a letter posted on the Bungie website. "We created the universe and we hold its future entirely in our hands. The vast majority of the team is hard at work envisioning future experiences, enemies, and ways to play the Guardian you've been building since 2014. We're going to keep doing that...we're thinking about what it means to be truly independent, what it means to self-publish, and crucially, what Destiny's future can now look like for our players."
That last line might read as a shot at Activision, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Smith takes the time to thank Activision just as others at Bungie have in the past.

Destiny 2 isn't living up to Activision's sales expectations, but Bungie is happy with what they accomplished.
Following Activision's suggestion that Destiny 2 has fallen short of sales expectations, Bungie has come forward to defend the game's success.
"We are not disappointed with Forsaken," said Destiny 2 director Luke Smith via Twitter. "We set out to build a game that Destiny players would love, and at Bungie, we love it too. Building Destiny for players who love it is and will remain our focus going forward."
Interestingly, Smith doesn't seem to be commenting on Destiny 2's actual sales. Instead, he seems to be focusing on how creatively satisfied Bungie is with Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion. While that expansion has been well received, the original comments from Publisher Activision suggested they aren't happy with how Destiny 2 is selling.
"We have not yet seen the full core re-engage in Destiny, which...

Destiny 3 might not be off the table at Bungie, if a new a rumor is to be believed...
Destiny 3 could be in development at Bungie, according to a series of rumors that recently hit Reddit. According to reliable Destiny leaker AnonTheNine (via PC Gamer), "The development is starting right now." The Redditor also said that Bungie veterans Chris Barrett and Luke Smith are involved with the project.
In a much longer thread of leaks, AnonTheNine also revealed that Destiny 3 will allow players to use Darkness abilities. Up until this point, Guardians have only been able to use the Light from the Traveler for their special abilities. The addition of Darkness could mean this potential sequel could have a whole new set of powers never before seen in the series. It also raises the question whether players will be able to play as characters not affiliated to the...

Ever since its official announcement earlier this year, Bungie hasn’t been coy with providing a regular stream of new details for Destiny 2, having ripped the lid clean off the sequel at a special gameplay reveal event back in May. Besides detailing brand new features such as Lost Sectors and fresh subclasses for the Warlock, Titan and Hunter roles, attendees were privy to a gameplay hands-on with Destiny 2‘s first officially revealed Strike, Inverted Spire.
And yet, despite Bungie’s apparent eagerness to get the hype machine rolling along, there’s still one large core component of Destiny 2 that remains shrouded in mystery. From the Vault of Glass all the way up to Rise of Iron‘s Wrath of the Machine, each and every one of Destiny‘s raids is a fantastic showcase of Bungie’s talented team and a spectacle like no other. It’s hardly surprising, then, that...
