FX on Hulu’s The Bear will dish up an all-new season to kick off summer. Season 2 already elevated the show with its numerous guest stars as well as the transition of the family sandwich shop into a fine dining establishment. Season 1 swept the first of two Emmys ceremonies this year, with the second hoping to follow in those footsteps.
After Season 1 raked in its 10 Emmys at the 75th ceremony, the cast and crew had various responses to the comedy genre label. Since the show’s launch, stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have all been cast in other high profile projects like The Iron Claw for White, The Fantastic Four for Moss-Bachrach and Luca Guadagnino’s next film, The Hunt, for Edebiri.
Fans of the intense kitchen-set series may anticipate new faces and poignant needle drops like Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie.

Insert your “yes, chef!” joke of choice here: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Jeremy Allen White is back as streaming’s favorite neurotic restaurateur in the Season 3 trailer for “The Bear.”
Created by Christopher Storer, the Emmy-winning series returns on June 27 with all 10 episodes available simultaneously to watch binge-style on Hulu. Events pick up where the show’s sophomore outing left off, with Richie (Emmy winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Sydney (Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri) cracking further out of their once self-imposed shells while Carmy further retreats into the anxiety of his work and away from the grief of losing love interest Claire (Molly Gordon). Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, and Oliver Platt complete the cast.
The Bear, no longer a charming hole-in-the-wall eatery but a proper fine-dining establishment, is now a partnership between Sydney and Carmy: a fan-favorite relationship that stands to be tested even...

Are we excited for The Bear season 3? Well, to borrow an old ursine hypothetical: does a bear shit in the woods? Look, we’ve been at this a long time and writing intros is getting harder. This is all to say that FX has finally released the full, final trailer for season 3 of its award-winning culinary dramedy The Bear. Please watch the clip now before I attempt any more bear jokes.
It was already anticipated that The Bear season 3 would be a remarkable television viewing experience since its first two seasons were that and then some. But even with those high expectations, this two-minute teaser really delivers. It seems as though The Original Beef of Chicagoland’s transformation into the upscale restaurant “The Bear,” is finally complete.

Season one of The Bear was about the stress of trying to save a financially ailing neighborhood restaurant, and season two captured the pressure of conceiving and opening a new — and very different — restaurant on a tight timeline.
Season three of the Emmy-winning, FX-produced Hulu series will follow Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and the rest of the team at The Bear as they try to keep their new venture going and live up to Carmy’s increasingly exacting standards. Or so a full trailer for the coming season, due June 27 on Hulu, promises.
The two-minute trailer greatly expands on a shorter teaser from last week (though it keeps the Rolling Stones’ “Mixed Emotions” as its soundtrack) by showcasing the tension between Carmy’s vision — he shares a list of “non-negotiables” that Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and the rest of the crew mock — and the day-to-day execution of it. It also...

In the week since our 2024 Emmy predictions center expanded to include the guest acting categories, a strong consensus has formed around four potential winners from three different series. The one show that is expected to achieve double victories in this area is FX’s “The Bear,” which won’t have much trouble doing so if our users are correct about it taking up seven of the possible 12 comedy guest nomination slots.
The widely predicted guest winners from “The Bear” are Jon Bernthal and Jamie Lee Curtis, the former of whom was just nominated last year for the show’s inaugural season. The likeliest drama guest victors are potential Emmy first-timer Nestor Carbonell (“Shōgun”) and 2021 champ Claire Foy (“The Crown”). Foy would be only the third actress to win twice in her category for one role, after Patricia Clarkson (“Six Feet Under”) and Margo Martindale (“The Americans”).

Hot off last year’s acclaimed The Iron Claw, Jeremy Allen White returns to his other dysfunctional family in the kitchen with The Bear season 3. FX previously released a first look and a teaser of the upcoming season, which had reportedly been shot back-to-back with season 4 as the cable network gave the drama an early renewal. All episodes of season three will be released on June 27 and will be available to stream on Hulu. FX has now added more spice to the pan as they unveiled a new short trailer for the upcoming madness.
Jeremy Allen White stars in The Bear as an award-winning chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to manage the chaotic kitchen at his deceased brother’s sandwich shop. The show of summer 2024 — for some, of the whole year — is almost back. FX’s The Bear returns June 27 with more tense kitchen drama, classic rock, and superb performances, including from Jeremy Allen White, who looks predictably stressed in this first trailer.
Pretty much the whole gang’s featured in this 30-second preview: Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Marcus (Lionel Boyce), Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas), Sugar (Abby Elliott), and Fak (Matty Matheson).. And they all look like they’re feeling the pressure following the soft opening of The Bear (the restaurant), with Sugar and Richie trying to mollify customers while Sydney expedites and Marcus tries to keep the peace between Carmy and Cousin. When Sydney sighs about their "dysfunctional kitchen," both Richie and Carmy exclaim "Show me a functional one!"...

The Bear is about to get more dysfunctional.
FX released a brief trailer for season three on Friday, offering a preview of the chaos to come after Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy opens the new restaurant alongside Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
After opening their now revamped restaurant — they transformed their sandwich shop last season — the trio and team experience tension as they face the pressure of delivering excellent service and dining.
“I’m getting drilled out there,” Moss-Bachrach’s Richie can be seen telling Carmy. The pair are later shown getting in a confrontation. The team will face even more mishaps including food and silverware dropping on the floor, the stove catching on fire and more.
“This is a dysfunctional kitchen,” Sydney says, with both Carmy and Richie responding, “Show me a functional one.”

Carmy and company are back in the first trailer for “The Bear” Season 3. (Apparently he didn’t freeze to death in that freezer!)
As the prodigy chef, played by Jeremy Allen White, opens the new restaurant alongside Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), they find themselves once again sparring. In one scene, Carmy yells, “No surprise!” after Richie brings a piñata into the kitchen. Richie responds: “Yes, surprise!”
In a shorter teaser released five days earlier, Sydney tells Carmy and Richie: “This is a dysfunctional kitchen!,” to which they respond in unison: “Show me a functional one!”
All episodes of award-winning FX dramedy are set to release on June 27 and will be available to stream on Hulu in the U.S. (and Disney+ internationally).
Season 2 of “The Bear” saw Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) work together to transform their sandwich shop into a fine dining restaurant.

With the appetite of a hungry grizzly, “The Bear” could gobble up a few Emmy records for its sophomore season. Fresh off a smashing first season that set a new benchmark for comedy series wins with 10 trophies, FX’s awards-gobbling show shows no signs of letting up. Its second season, which aired in June 2023, is eyeing three more records to own: most acting nominations for a series in a single year, most nods for a comedy, and most nominated episode in history with its sixth installment, “Fishes.”
“Fishes” dishes out a heated Christmas dinner flashback of the Berzatto family, positioning itself as the series’ pièce de résistance thus far — imagine the “Succession/Connor’s Wedding” version of family dinners, only with more food spills. Directed by Christopher Storer, who also co-wrote the episode with Joanna Calo, “Fishes” seems the obvious pick for Emmy nods in both directing and writing categories.

The number of Gold Derby readers predicting the 2024 Primetime Emmy nominations in 16 major categories has risen above 2,000 even with the nominations announcement still three months away. Our predicted lineups have changed significantly within the last week alone, indicating increased support for some programs and greater apathy toward others.
Four new predicted acting nominees have emerged since April 1. The only one hailing from a continuing series is Theo James (“The Gentlemen”), who grabbed the fifth comedy lead actor spot from Kelsey Grammer (“Frasier”). The other three are TV movie star Tony Shalhoub (“Mr. Monk’s Last Case”) and limited series actresses Anna Sawai (lead; “Shōgun”) and Fiona Shaw (supporting; “True Detective: Night Country”) who displace Michael Douglas (“Franklin”), Naomi Watts (“Feud: Capote vs. The Swans”), and Andrea Riseborough (“The Regime”) respectively.

There’s still a few months until Season 3 of The Bear debuts, but Disney is holding audiences over with a clip from the upcoming installment.
The clip, revealed during Disney’s shareholder meeting on Wednesday, features Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) getting a surprise from two of his employees, Neil and Ted Fak (Matty Matheson and Ricky Staffieri).
After a bit of shouting, the pair finally get Carmy into the restaurant’s back office to see they’ve posted photos of every major food critic on the wall. Likely so that all the employees will know as soon as one of them steps foot inside the establishment.

The Bear‘s third season may have yet to hit your TV screens, but rumors of a fourth season are already swirling as filming on additional episodes is supposedly taking place in Chicago. According to Deadline, the series about chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his ragtag kitchen team comprised of Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Marcus (Lionel Boyce), Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas), Fak (Matty Matheson), and more will be back for another chapter after the forthcoming season slated to arrive this June. (Credit: Chuck Hodes/FX) Season 3 of the FX series that streams exclusively on Hulu was picked up in November 2023, and filming began earlier this year in Chicago. Filming back-to-back isn’t an uncommon strategy, especially as the superstar cast becomes busier with other projects. But considering Atlanta was FX’s last show to follow this filming schedule, some people are speculating that Season 4 could be The Bear‘s last.

“The Bear” will return for its third season on FX on Hulu this June.
FX chairman John Landgraf announced the news during the network’s Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation on Friday, February 9, adding that like the prior seasons, all episodes will be available at once rather than be released week-to-week.
But if you want any more details than that, Landgraf didn’t have them. Asked if there will be more guest stars like in the “Fishes” episode that featured Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Gillian Jacobs, Sarah Paulson, and Jon Bernthal, Landgraf said he’ll be waiting to see what creator Christopher Storer comes up with just like everyone else.
“Unfortunately, I can’t. I was surprised as you were when the Christmas episode came through the door,” he said (via Variety).
“The Bear” has dominated the awards season and been one of FX’s biggest recent hits.

Emmy winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who stars as Richie in FX’s “The Bear,” kept the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” close while shooting the iconic needledrop scene in Season 2 of the kitchen comedy series.
“I had to memorize that before,” the actor told TheWrap on the Emmys red carpet Monday, video of which you can watch above. “Between takes, I would look at the lyrics just to make sure that I was doing the song justice.”
The actor, whose role of Cousin Richie was involved a Taylor Swift ticket chase plot thread in Season 2, thanked the singer in his Critcs Choice Award acceptance speech, calling her one of his two special scene partners. He didn’t know if there were any other Taylor Swift songs in consideration for the scene in which he triumphantly belts “Love Story” in the car after securing the tickets for his daughter.

Some people just have no sense of humor.
After Monday’s 75th Emmy Awards awarded basically three series — “Succession,” “The Bear,” and “Beef” — some TV fans were left feeling somewhere between robbed and confounded.
A number of observers simply didn’t dig the repetition; “Succession” and “Beef” each won eight Emmys, including the Creative Arts awards the weekend prior to the primetime show, and “The Bear” took home 10. Rote results, sure, but they were probably three of the best five shows of the eligibility window: June 1, 2022-May 31, 2023.
If that feels like a long time ago, that’s because it was. Monday’s Emmy Awards were supposed to air in September 2023, but were delayed by the writers’ and actors’ strikes.
Some of the loudest opposition to Monday’s Emmys results was simply about the category that “The Bear” dominated: comedy. The resistance has a point — but that doesn’t make them right.

For the unversed, the Emmys took place after a delay of four months due to the Hollywood strikes. It was initially set to take place in September 2023. Anthony Anderson hosted the award ceremony, and he had his mother in the audience to help him occasionally carry forward the ceremony smoothly.
Succession and The Bear won six major awards at the Emmys 2024, with Beef securing one less than them. Those who thankfully got...
