The news of Kelli Giddish leaving Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has led to a lot of emotions from fans.
Over 12 seasons, Amanda Rollins has gone from a wet-behind-the-ear detective to an experienced member of the Svu team. She’s also had to adjust to a lot of personal changes.
Rollins has been through the wringer, from her gambling problem to her troublesome sister to becoming a mom to two kids, yet she keeps fighting for justice.
Over the last 12 seasons, Rollins has had several episodes focusing on her, from major drama to some lighter but important moments in her life.
Some episodes had Rollins as the key focus, while others briefly touched on important moments like realizing her pregnancy. Yet a few are much better than others.
These ten episodes stand out as the best...

Whoa! Talk about an intense midseason premiere!
Law & Order: Svu Season 23 Episode 10 felt more like a pilot episode for a new spinoff than anything else, plus left Benson's future with the NYPD -- and her mental health -- hanging in the balance.
This story was raw, real, and uncomfortable. And that was the point.
If any episode of Law & Order: Svu needed a trigger warning, it was this one.
The hour opened with a call to arms for white supremacists and a montage of hate crimes while Silent Night played in the background. The scenes of unknown perpetrators breaking windows at synagogues, vandalizing mosques, and beating people up weren't graphic, but they were realistic.
Real-life hate crime survivors might have had a tough time with these scenes, along with depictions of anti-Semitic graffiti later. The rest of us should have, too.
These scenes were meant to be sickeningly ugly and brutal.

The Tour of Men From Law & Order: Svu‘s Ladies’ Past continues with Thursday’s winter premiere, which brings Declan Murphy — as well as Hasim Khaldun — back into Rollins’ orbit.
The circumstances under which Murphy and Khaldun come back into the fold are awful: The task force to which they’re assigned is investigating a wave of seemingly coordinated hate crimes across New York City, and Svu is called in to assist. Other members of the task force include Det. Mia Ruz, whom we met while she was working for Barek at Bronx Svu last season, and Det.

We haven’t known This Is Us‘ Phillip very long… but way he gazed at Kate in Tuesday’s season premiere told us a lot about the heretofore reserved Brit. That said, new cast addition Chris Geere previews that even though a flash-forward in Season 5 clued us in to the fact that Kate and Phillip will eventually marry, there’ll be no whirlwind romance between the two. Instead, Geere says, there’ll be a “slow build” from co-workers to life partners.
And that makes sense, given how Kate is very married — to Toby — at the current point in the story.

This Is Us‘ upcoming series finale will sound the death knell for any potential Pearson spinoffs, according to series creator Dan Fogelman.
In an interview with TVLine’s sister pub Variety, the EP confirms that 20th Television — the studio behind the soon-to-conclude NBC smash — has indeed approached him about keeping the Emmy-winning franchise afloat via an offshoot. But Fogelman cites a major stumbling block standing in the way of any possible spinoff: the show’s sixth and final season.

“My time on Svu was incredibly important to me, both as a person and an actor,” says Donal Logue (above), who made eight appearances as the NYPD’s Declan Murphy between 2014 and 2015 and was offered a full-time spot…just days after accepting a role on Gotham. Logue happily returns to guest star on January 6 as a new captain in the Hate Crimes Division, tapping into Svu’s investigative savvy on Christmas Eve “to help solve a spate of crimes hitting almost every borough of the city,” he explains. For the operation, Murphy assembles a crack team of detectives, including Jason Biggs’ Andy Parlato-Goldstein. “The juxtaposition of the Christmas season with what is happening in New York raises the stakes,” Logue says. Declan has a personal mission as well. In Season 17, he learned he had fathered Det. Amanda Rollins’ (Kelli Giddish) first child and offered unconditional support before disappearing on an undercover assignment.

Will we see a jealous Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino) in Law & Order: Svu Season 23? It sounds like it could happen. Donal Logue and Ari’el Stachel, whose characters have been involved with and a potential love interest for, respectively, Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) are returning in an upcoming episode (set for January 2022), TVLine reports. Logue played Lieutenant Declan Murphy (the father of one of Rollins’ kids) in Seasons 15, 16, and 17, while Stachel’s transit cop, Sergeant Khaldun, worked with Rollins in Seasons 21 and 22. So what brings these men back into Rollins’ orbit? “Murphy will have just wrapped up his most recent undercover assignment and will come to Capt. Benson [Mariska Hargitay] and the Special Victims Unit for help on a high priority case involving a series of seemingly coordinated hate crimes around New York City,” according to the report. Both men were in Rollins’ life before she and Carisi...

Congratulations are in order (pun intended)! Kelli Giddish, star of Law and Order: Svu, is pregnant with her second baby, she confirmed by debuting her baby bump at the long-running show's 20th anniversary celebration at the 2018 Tribeca TV Festival on Thursday, Sept. 20 in NYC. The 38-year-old and her husband, Lawrence Faulborn, married in 2015 and are already parents to a two-year-old son named Ludo, who was born shortly after their wedding in October 2016. We have a feeling he'll be the best big brother! (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Kelli — who has played Detective Amanda Rollins for the past seven seasons of the series — happily posed on the red carpet with her growing belly in a stylish yellow floral dress. She even stood alongside her co-star Mariska Hargitay, whom she admitted has given her tips on how to balance her busy career and motherhood.
