The film is nothing short of a masterpiece, an absolute must-watch this weekend.
The case of a missing girl turns into a massive story of unravelling everyone’s thought processes, biases, motives and deep-rooted controlling issues.

Actress Rashmi Agdekar, who plays a homosexual character in the series ‘Dev Dd, feels that while the discussion around the LGBTQ+ community has started in the society, we still have a long way to go.
She also feels that it is important not to stop the movement.
"Our cultural and societal values are deep-rooted. A change in such a society can't happen overnight, but we are having an open conversation about the existence and rights of the Lgbtqa community, which is a step in the right direction. There are definitely a lot of problems and we are far away from making a safe place for them. This will take time, but we shouldn't give up and learn to be better allies to the community," Rashmi said.
The actress, who plays the character of Chandni in both parts of the series, also asserted that playing a homosexual character in the series...

Mumbai, Feb 21 (Ians) The just-released second season of the popular web series "Dev Dd" touches upon subjects like female foeticide and LGBTQ.
Lead actress Asheema Vardaan, who reprises her role as Devika in the show's second season, spilled the beans on the subject. She said: "This time the show is majorly taking about female foeticide and LGBTQ. The show talks about Queer Marriage which is an important topic to shine light on as queer people don't enjoy marriage rights that as their straight counterparts do. It's saddening to see that our law don't see straight couple and Queer couple the same which leads to social stigma and ostracisation."
It is adapted from Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's epic novel "Devdas" with a female perspective as Devika. The series gives an unconventional twist to the "Devdas" storyline with gender reversals.

Mumbai, Feb 16 (Ians) Actress Rashmi Agdekar is all set to reprise her role of Chandni in the second season of the popular web series Dev Dd, producer Ekta Kapoor's new-age retelling of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas.
In Dev Dd, Rashmi plays Chandni, based on the character Chunnilal in Sara Chandra's original creation. In the web series, which first dropped in 2017, the character is a lesbian.
"Back in 2017, when web series were just starting out in India, we had mostly seen caricaturish and stereotypical portrayals of Lgbtqa characters on screen. But Chandni was not written that way. She is a regular small-town girl from Jaipur with her set of values, but she likes girls. It was this aspect that drew me to this role, as it normalises the representation of homosexual characters on screen, because that is how it is in real life," she claimed.
Rashmi is super excited about the second season.

OpinionWhile ‘Rasbhari’ talks about teen sexuality in a refreshing way, it has some questionable sequences too.Geetika MantriWarning: Major spoilers ahead Actor Swara Bhasker’s web series Rasbhari, directed by Nikhil Bhat and written by Shantanu Srivastava, released on June 24 on Amazon Prime Video, and has been the subject of debate on social media ever since. Although the series received several rave reviews which called it feminist and progressive, it has also been downvoted on IMDb to a sad 2.4. Some of the negative responses to the series can no doubt be attributed to trolls who routinely target Swara for her political views, but there have also been others who have taken exception to the content of the show for its depiction of a woman's sexuality. Having watched Rasbhari though, I found that the series is indeed problematic but not in the way that those threatened by women's sexuality think it is.
