Taylor Sheridan fans are devastated to hear that Yellowstone will end after five seasons, mainly due to Kevin Costner’s exit. Costner played the family patriarch John Dutton. While on set, Costner ate food from Yellowstone‘s celebrity chef Gabriel “Gator” Guilbeau, who cooked for the actors. So, what did Costner eat? Here’s what Gator revealed.
What does Kevin Costner eat while on the ‘Yellowstone’ set?
Chef Gabriel “Gator” Guilbeau is featured in Yellowstone and is the chef for the actors in the series. He has a lot of mouths to feed (and food preferences to consider). This, of course, also means he prepared meals for Yellowstone star Kevin Costner during his time on the show as John Dutton.
So, what did Costner like to eat? Gator told Delish that Costner loved his famous pineapple bourbon bread pudding for dessert, as did several other actors from the series. But...

The first season of Yellowstone will be rerun on CBS starting tonight, and that will likely spark additional interest in the modern Western drama series. The first half of the fifth season has aired on Paramount Network, and the second half has been stalled due to the actors and writers strikes, as well as a dispute with its star, Kevin Costner. The latter was likely a contributing factor to the very popular show's cancellation by Paramount.
Starring Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon, Kathryn Kelly, the Paramount Network drama follows the Dutton family of Montana, the owners of the Yellowstone ranch.

Has Yellowstone Been Renewed?
This is a bit of a trick question. Paramount Network had always planned on splitting the season into two parts, with the first half launching in November 2022.
The second half was set to premiere in the summer of 2023, but behind-the-scenes drama changed everything for the show.
Initially, it was alleged that Kevin Costner didn't want to commit to filming six more episodes, with reports claiming he gave a small window of availability.

This article contains spoilers for Yellowstone season 5.
The first half of Yellowstone’s supersized fifth season was full of untapped potential, which likely means a final half dozen episodes packed with mayhem. Den of Geek breaks down a few likely scenarios that audiences could see when the show returns.
Will John Dutton Die?
We teased this idea in a previous piece by predicting possible conclusions to the Yellowstone story, and the argument has only grown stronger in season 5.
If you’ve been paying attention to the subtext of this easy-going season 5, there has been one recurring message – this world is not meant for cowboys. To mirror that, show creator Taylor Sheridan has constantly reminded us of John’s (Kevin Costner) mortality. John has been repeatedly reminded that the way his family has run Yellowstone is antiquated. He has to evolve or the Yellowstone will die.
But perhaps it’s not...

The latest teaser for the second part of the latest season shows John Dutton (Kevin Costner) whipping his ranchers into shape as tensions mount with son Jamie (Wes Bentley), daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly), and Kayce (Luke Grimes). That's all she wrote, folks.
Well, for the time being at least.
Yellowstone Season 5 is taking a breather, but don't worry, it will return.
During the midseason finale (a first for Yellowstone), it was revealed that the show will return for the summer.
We knew it was going to be a big episode since those of us who cover it didn't get a screener ahead of time.
Of course, that means that you won't get a full review for the episode until later tonight, but you've got this semi-good news to tide you over.
As we rolled into the midseason finale, we were awaiting news about how the rest of the season will play out with new dynamics.
Beth realized just how far in debt the ranch was after apparently sticking her head in the sand and trusting what John trusted -- what worked for the last 100 plus years.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 5 “Watch ‘Em Ride Away.”] Honestly? We’re not surprised that Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Summer (Piper Perabo) might have just reached somewhat of an understanding after exchanging punches in the Duttons’ front yard on Yellowstone. Most of “Watch ‘Em Ride Away” is spent preparing for the upcoming branding of the ranch’s cattle — it’s two days, on horseback, no tents, no bedrolls, no bathrooms — and pretty much everyone’s going. John (Kevin Costner) has his assistant Clara (Lilli Kay) cancel his meetings; she’s joining them on the trip and will be the one holding the satellite phone since he can’t be completely out of reach as governor. Monica (Kelsey Asbille) encourages Kayce (Luke Grimes) to go since they and Tate (Brecken Merrill) could use the break after their loss. Even Beth, to Rip’s (Cole Hauser) shock, is joining them, once she secures a...

The Yellowstone fandom, much like the show itself, is strong-willed and fiercely loyal. This writer will admit, I have dived into the deep end in a few different online forums to see what other fans of the show are talking about, and often share in the joy the show brings to us every Sunday.
For most of us, the show is a strange, dark, and violent catharsis – which explains the rabid response to characters like John (Kevin Costner), Beth (Kelly Reilly) and fan-favorite Rip (Cole Hauser). They live a good life, they’re hard working, they love their family and will protect each other with fists, bullets, and blood (and the occasional snake in a cooler).
But co-creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan, is no slouch when it comes to writing. The man understands that to be successful, you need balance. The cast of...

Yellowstone continues to be a force in the ratings for Paramount Network.
The highly anticipated Yellowstone Season 5 premiere drew a cumulative 12.1 million viewers.
These numbers include simulcasts on CMT, TV Land, Pop, and Sunday-night encores.

The Duttons have returned for a new season of family drama and political backstabbing, and it seems that there was quite an audience for the Yellowstone season 5 premiere.
Yellowstone has seen its ratings steadily rise over the last four seasons, and the first two episodes of the latest season have continued that trend. The Yellowstone season 5 premiere saw 8.8 million viewers on Paramount Network, which marks a 10 increase from the season 4 premiere. Across all four networks, Paramount Network, CMT, TVLand, and Pop, the premiere pulled in 10.3 million viewers, an 8 increase over last year’s 9.5 million. That number climbed to 12.1 million when the encore presentations were included. The premiere also shattered records in all demographics, each up by double digits. It’s safe to say that audiences are pretty pumped about Yellowstone.

The “Yellowstone” Season 5 premiere on Sunday night saw substantial gains in viewership over the show’s fourth season premiere last year.
The fifth season opener aired across Paramount Network, CMT, TV Land and Pop, with the same networks having aired the previous premiere as well. On Paramount Network alone, the show drew 8.8 million viewers compared to 8 million viewers for last year’s premiere, or a 10 increase. Across all four networks, it pulled in 10.3 million viewers compared to 9.5 million last year, or an 8 increase.
The Season 5 premiere was also rebroadcast on all four networks twice on Sunday night. When factoring in the encore airings, the total viewership rises to 12.1 million viewers, compared to 11.2 million the year before. It should be noted, however, that the Season 4 premiere was only given encore airings on Paramount Network, not on Pop, CMT, or TV Land.

Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 1 and 2
Yellowstone creator, showrunner, and deity to the cowboy-at-heart, Taylor Sheridan, is often praised for his intense, gritty, and typically crime-driven dramas, yet the prolific writer isn’t recognized enough for his sense of balance. It’s one of the major reasons Yellowstone’s audience continues to grow, even while the show is now entering its fifth and rumored penultimate season, and how it has kept viewers hooked the entire time. Sheridan understands pacing.
Last season started with a literally explosive premiere, as the Duttons were targeted by a then-unknown group of assassins. The Duttons’ youngest son, Kayce (Luke Grimes) chased those who came after him and his family with an indignant vengeance only a Dutton could bring. The season 4 premiere was full of blood, bodies, and bullets and gave viewers exactly what they had been ravenous to see.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the first two episodes of Yellowstone Season 5, “One Hundred Years Is Nothing” and “The Sting of Wisdom.”] Yellowstone Season 5 gets off to a heartbreaking start for one of the Duttons, has another two in jobs they don’t want, and makes a fourth the focus of the family’s enemies. A time jump between seasons means Monica (Kelsey Asbille) is three weeks away from her due date in the premiere — and when she needs to go to the hospital, Kayce (Luke Grimes) is away, tied up with work. Their son Tate (Brecken Merrill) offers to drive, but it’s Monica behind the wheel when an animal steps on the road and another driver is distracted. The horrific crash — of which we see the immediate aftermath at the beginning of Episode 2 — results in Monica and Kayce losing their baby. “I had a brother,” Tate, who has a broken arm, tells his grandfather, John (Kevin ...

The last time Yellowstone viewers saw Kayce Dutton, he had a dire warning for his wife, Monica. “I saw the end of us,” he said, following a three-day vision quest. And viewers have been hanging onto those words for nearly a year, anticipating just how his prophecy might be fulfilled with the return of Taylor Sheridan’s hit Paramount Network neo-Western family saga.
Season five, which premiered with two episodes, jumped a bit of time to catch up with the Dutton family, to show patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) being sworn in as the Governor of Montana, prize daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly) being promoted to his chief of staff and hated son Jamie (Wes Bentley) fulfilling his finale promise to jump on the Gov. Dutton bandwagon, after murdering his biological father in hopes of getting back in his family’s good graces.

The phenomenon that is the Paramount+ series “Yellowstone” feels unprecedented. Creator Taylor Sheridan revisited the myth of the Western with his feature films before bringing it to television in 2018, a time when the genre was the stuff of Chuck Norris. But the runaway success of “Yellowstone” has already led to other networks attempting to cash in on audiences’ love for the majesty of flyover states, such as ABC’s “Alaska Daily” and “Big Sky” and The CW’s “Walker: Independence.”
And with more and more fans discovering “Yellowstone” — especially with its Season 5 premiere coming November 13 — it’s worth looking at where the show started and where things ended up. “Yellowstone” follows the Duttons, led by patriarch John (Kevin Costner) and his children Jamie (Wes Bentley), Beth (Kelly Reilly), and Kayce (Luke Grimes), as they struggle to maintain their power and retain control of their ranch, the titular Yellowstone. Taylor Sheridan's sprawling Yellowstone universe continues to expand.
Deadline reports that the Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren-led prequel limited series has been expanded to two seasons.
The series will comprise 16 total episodes, to be split across two seasons.
However, the outlet notes that negotiations are underway to bring the cast back to shoot an additional season.
It's hard to believe these negotiations not being successful. The Yellowstone universe is huge, but time will tell whether everything goes smoothly.
The cast will be busy. It's rare to hear names like Ford and Mirren attached to a TV series, but it's a testament to the success of Yellowstone.
Additionally, the outlet says that Sheridan is contemplating two separate limited series to be set in the 1940s and 1960s.
If you watch Yellowstone online, you know the series has created a universe that spans a decades-long universe.

We have some good news if you've been dying for more Yellowstone since Yellowstone Season 4 concluded.
The hit Paramount drama will preview Yellowstone Season 5's first two hours in AMC Theaters on Saturday, October 29.
That means you can watch the premiere a little over two weeks before its Sunday, November 13 premiere on Paramount Network.
It's a great tactic to get some early buzz in the hopper for this hit drama series, but then again, if it continues to grow exponentially, it will continue to be the biggest series on TV.
It was recently reported that the Yellowstone Season 5 trailer premiere broke records.
The special event in AMC theaters also includes a first look the Taylor Sheridan's Tulsa King, which is set to premiere linearly the same night as Yellowstone.
Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States.

Gov. John Dutton, is that you?
In the newest trailer for season 5 of Yellowstone, Kevin Costner’s alter-ego puts his hand on the Bible and promises to uphold the Montana constitution against all enemies, especially those pesky domestic ones. That means John definitely followed through with a suggestion by Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz) last season to take over as the state’s governor.
His first move in office? He fires the old staff and hires Beth (Kelly Reilly) as his chief of staff before signing some mysterious declaration that Jamie (Wes Bentley) warns “is a declaration of war.”
“We’re already at war,” John replies ominously.
There’s also a new Dutton foe played by Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook), who set her sights on destroying Beth, and a messy-haired vixen named Sarah (Dawn Olivieri) who likes to make a lot of money. Other new cast members include Kylie Rogers,...
