Marisa Román is Co-Founder and Producer at The SPA Studios in Madrid, Spain. Responsible for supervising all business and finance transactions, hiring and managing team leaders and members, and day-to-day troubleshooting on the floor with both artistic and technical crew, as well as managing the budget and all business aspects of producing the film.
She has a degree in German Philology from the UCM in Madrid, and an MBA in Business Administration, majoring in Global Marketing Strategy from Woodbury University in Los Angeles.
Her career started in 1993 as Marketing and Communications Consultant, where she developed a professional understanding of international markets in different industries.
This collaboration with newly created companies led her, in 1996, to Walt Disney Feature Animation in Burbank, USA. Where she joined the Marketing and Communications department, acting as the link between different divisions of Disney and the Animation Studio, participating in well-known titles such as "Hercules", "Tarzan", "Mulan", "Toy Story 2" and "A Bug's Life".
In 2002, Marisa moved back to Spain and became part of the "Madrid Convention Bureau", as Head of the European Department at the Business Division; drawing up and executing strategic plans for attracting tourism and events investors from the EU to the Community of Madrid.
