Anthony Florez is a Native American is a writer and director from Reno, NV. He is a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Northern Nevada.
In 2018 Anthony was selected for the 21st Century Fox Writers Lab and was also awarded the Tisch School of Arts Dean's Fellowship in television writing to study at New York University's Graduate Dramatic Writing Program (Tisch). Anthony recently directed his own narrative short film "TwoBears" as a 2020 Vision Maker Media short film fellow and worked as a staff writer on a 'NETFLIX original' western anime series as well as the upcoming AMC Drama series "Dark Winds."
Anthony serves as the Co-Chair of the WGA Native American and Indigenous Writers Committee (NAIWC). He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2008 and served on active duty for six years. Anthony now lives in the Hollywood, CA.
