The annual showcase Spotify House will return to the Ole Red honky-tonk in Nashville for CMA Fest 2024. Marking its fifth year, the event will pack dozens of performances into its schedule across three days from Thursday, June 6, through Saturday, June 8. This year’s lineup includes appearances from Luke Bryan, Lady A, Cole Swindell, Brett Young, and other well-known stars, but it’s the focus on up-and-coming breakouts like Wyatt Flores, Dylan Gossett, and “Austin” singer Dasha that give this year’s lineup its fresh edge.

Going into the 2024 ACM Awards, you didn’t have to be clairvoyant to nail some key predictions. Host Reba McEntire was sure to be both corny and unflappable, Lainey Wilson was a lock to win Entertainer of the Year, and country interloper Post Malone, scruffy and face-tattooed, was going to charm the pants off everyone.
That all of that happened isn’t a bad thing. In fact, there was something especially comforting about the predictability of this year’s ACMs, held for a second year in a row at the...

It was a big night for Lainey Wilson at the ACM Awards. She opened the show with a bang and then capped her evening by winning the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” award.
Wilson opened the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards with a cover of Little Texas’s 1993 hit, God Blessed Texas, along with her own Hang Tight Honey.
The singer was up for four awards this year and won three. It continues her hot hand at the ACMs. In 2023, she was the most-nominated artist and took home the most trophies.

Luke Combs came into these awards with the most nominations (eight), including Entertainer of the Year. Nominee Ashley McBryde and actor Noah Reid stole the show while presenting Single of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards. The pair performed parodies of this year’s nominees while presenting the award.
Reid has sung a bit on both Outer Range and, most memorably, on Schitt’s Creek, which McBryde complimented at the beginning of their time on stage. Reid said he was nervous presenting at the show, so McBryde pulled out a ukulele and launched into a version of Parker McCollum’s “Burn It Down,” this time about Reid being new in town.

Noah Kahan and Kelsea Ballerini gave a two-song duet at the 2024 ACM Awards.
The pair opened with “Mountain With a View,” a song off Ballerini’s ACM Album of the Year nominee Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good), before segueing into the title track of Kahan’s breakthrough album Stick Season. Ballerini took the stage solo, singing from a couch before Kahan launched into his megahit amidst tall grass. The pair ended up mashing up their two tracks before Ballerini joined Kahan in singing the catchy, inescapable chorus of “Stick Season.

Luke Combs is the man of the hour. The 59th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday morning, April 9, and Combs came out on top with eight bids, including Entertainer of the Year. Check out the complete list of nominations here.
This is Combs’s fifth nomination in a row for Entertainer of the Year, an award he has yet to win. This year he’s up against Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and lone female nominee Lainey Wilson. Women are consistently underrepresented in Entertainer of the Year, though Carrie Underwood won in 2020 (in a tie with Thomas Rhett) and Miranda Lambert finally prevailed in 2022. But we mustn’t underestimate Wilson here. She pulled off a huge upset at the CMA Awards last fall, claiming Entertainer of the Year despite being relatively new on the scene.
