‘AHS: Delicate’ enters early labor with a fun, frenzied episode that finds the perfect tone and goes for broke as its water breaks.
“I’ll figure it out. Women always do.”
American Horror Story is no stranger to remixing real-life history with ludicrous, heightened Murphy-isms, whether it’s AHS: 1984’s incorporation of Richard Ramirez, AHS: Cult’s use of Valerie Solanas, or AHS: Coven’s prominent role for the Axeman of New Orleans. Accordingly, it’s very much par for the course for AHS: Delicate to riff on other pop culture touchstones and infinitely warp them to its wicked whims. That being said, it takes real guts to do a postmodern feminist version of Rosemary’s Baby and then actually put Mia Farrow – while she’s filming Rosemary’s Baby, no less – into the narrative. This is the type of gonzo bullshit that I want out of American Horror Story!

As guest singing coaches on The Voice go, it’s hard to do better than Mariah Carey for sheer, astounding talent and helpful advice. The soulful diva spent the second night of Knockouts repeatedly stressing how important it was for her to hear someone do his or her own thing with a song and, in the end, it was those kinds of singers who would advance to the next round.
Strangely, one of those moments would come when a competitor made the gutsy decision to sing coach Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You.

During Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice,” Kelly Clarkson paired up teenage singers Abby Cates and Claire DeJean in the latest knockout round of Season 15. Abby made the nerve-wracking decision to sing Kelly’s “Because of You” in front of Kelly herself while Claire performed Shawn Mendez‘s “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back.” While both young artists did a good job, Abby was clearly the favorite and so Kelly chose to advance her to the live playoffs. Watch Abby’s “The Voice” video above and read the coaches’ comments below.

“I think you do, in this competition, fill a similar vein,” Kelly told both of her aspiring singers before revealing her strategy. “And having done this last season, I know that I can really only move forward with one.

If we didn’t know I sucked at predictions before, we sure do now. As we headed into Night 2 of The Voice’s Season 15 Knockouts, five singers I’d expected not to make it through had competed… and every last one of them had made it through! Mind you, the coaches had been making some straaange calls Monday. Particularly bewildering was Adam Levine’s insistence on keeping around Tyke James’ lustrous mane — and, unfortunately, Tyke with it! And who could’ve guessed that Katrina Cain would fall apart so disastrously? (Well, I suppose technically, we all could’ve guessed after her Battle went so poorly.

Who really has the best team of artists for “The Voice” Season 15? Now that you’ve seen all the singers through Blind Audition and Battle Rounds, plus a few already in the Knockouts, does the best team belong to Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson or Kelly Clarkson? Which of those coaches will guide a contender to the championship in a few weeks?
Pop superstar Mariah Carey has joined “The Voice” as an advisor for the Knockouts, which started on Monday and continues on Tuesday for Night 2. Each coach will have one steal and one save during this round. One Spoiler Item: Team Kelly artist Cody Ray Raymond has dropped out of the show for personal reasons.

Before we get to discussing, dissecting and debating the first of The Voice’s Season 15 Knockouts, some fearless predictions — eight to be exact. The following are the singers — chosen, cross my heart and hope to die, prior to seeing a moment of Monday’s show — that I didn’t expect to reach to reach the Top 24. Ready? Here we go…
From Team Adam: Tyke James, Steve Memmolo
From Team Blake: Colton Smith, Funsho
From Team Jennifer: Anthony Arya, MaKenzie Thomas
From Team Kelly: Claire DeJean, Zaxai
Ordinarily, I’d say that my fearless predictions should be taken with a whole shaker of salt.

Did anyone realize that Blake Shelton had a steal left? He’d only reminded his fellow Voice coaches at seemingly every free moment, so tonight’s “dramatic” conclusion to the Battle Rounds was telegraphed right from the top of the show.
Nonetheless, the fourth night of inter-team pairings went out with a bang, as Team Adam Levine’s DeAndre Nico and Nigerian-born Funsho tackled New Edition’s stormy 1989 Number One “Can’t Stand the Rain,” which Levine chose based on both men’s love of Bruno Mars. Nico showed off his power and rich,...

One thing you have to give The Voice’s Battles this season: They’ve been full of surprises. Sometimes they were good. (For instance, I did not see Reagan Strange coming and hadn’t guessed that Tyshawn Colquitt’s bag of tricks was that overstuffed.) Sometimes they were mystifying. (Jennifer Hudson wasting a Steal on Anthony Arya and Kelly Clarkson letting go of showstopper SandyRedd?!?) And sometimes they were downright upsetting. (Even worse than no one stealing Natalie Brady after Adam Levine cut her was Kelly’s elimination of Mikele Buck, who’d given one of my favorite Blind Auditions — and in a montage,...

Tuesday is the final chance for Season 15 artists to move forward in Battle Rounds for “The Voice.” It seems like just a week ago (and it was) that this part of the season began, but it is now concluding. Which contenders will make it to the Knockouts next Monday through a coaching decision, which ones will be stolen and which ones are going home so soon?
While it seemed like Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson had chosen the best singers during the Blind Auditions, rival coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have been doing some major recovery work during this round. Shelton has won this competition six of the previous 14 seasons. Levine has prevailed three times, while Clarkson is the reigning champ. Hudson hasn’t won in America on her previous season but has triumphed for the British version.

Curious. In Monday’s Season 15 premiere of The Voice, not a single shoe was thrown. In fact, aside from a little shade now and again, the coaches didn’t throw anything at all. I gave out a couple of A’s, but Jennifer Hudson and her fellow panelists seemed a bit less enthusiastic. Did Tuesday’s would-be contestants inspire any hurling of footwear? Read on and find out, or jump to the poll below to pick your favorite performer.

On the second night of Blind Auditions, The Voice season 15 brought back coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson to listen to more hopefuls.
First up was Keith Paluso, a singing park ranger obsessed with birds. He sang "Way Down We Go," and he had a growly folk-country voice, accompanying himself on the guitar. Shelton turned first, and Levine tried to join but Shelton had blocked him. So Paluso joined Team Blake.
