Stephanie Jourdan
Jourdan was born in Columbus, Ohio. Family relocated to San Diego, California in 1959. She remained in San Diego until 1977 when she relocated to Los Angeles. She has lived in Los Angeles ever since. She has one sibling, Charles Jourdan, five years younger, and one half-sibling, Mitzi Joseph, 16 years younger. Her father, Stephen Junkermann, worked in the aerospace industry and her mother, Janna Hysell Joseph, was a journalist specializing in the paranormal and a doll maker of popular celebrities and politicians. Her mother later created a popular line of miniature doll molds.
Jourdan worked for Mikragraphics and Promark as a copywriter. She was a founder of the advertising agency, Jourdan, Winkler & Tate and served as creative director. Jourdan, Winkler & Tate merged with International Marketing Initiative where she continued to work in the capacity of creative director until 1988. She left to work as a script consultant inspired by mentors and Jungian and Joseph Campbell studies.
These studies culminated in pursuit of a formal post-graduate degree and in January 2001, she received her doctorate of philosophy.
Pursuing her childhood dream of astrology, she established a side-by-side practice of archetypal astrology, focusing on how an individual achieves alliance with the theme of his or her chart in the same way a writer achieves alliance with the archetypal theme of his or her script.
