ABC’s The Good Doctor season five ended with Shaun and Lea getting married followed by a brutal attack that served up a heartstopping cliffhanger. And it appears season six episode one will pick up just minutes after the finale ended. Episode one, “Afterparty,” was directed by Mike Listo from a script by Peter Blake and will air on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10pm Et/Pt.
In an interview with TVLine, executive producer David Shore discussed what’s in store for fans when they tune into the season six premiere. “The first episode has a huge amount of intensity and fun, but it’s difficult because it’s the immediate fallout [from the finale]… Lim’s journey is going to be a big part of it, we have some nice things planned for Glassman, and, of course, nothing but wedded bliss for Shaun and Lea.”

Exclusive: The Real O’Neals and Dear Evan Hansen star Noah Galvin, newcomer Summer Brown, Bria Samoné Henderson (Mrs. America) and Brian Marc (The Kill Team) are set for recurring roles in the upcoming fourth season of The Good Doctor, as part of major storyline that will span the entire season of the ABC medical drama.
