During his elementary education (1984 - 1992) he was a member of an amateur theater in Mostar and Silly Theater. From 1992-1997, he worked professionally in the puppet theater in Mostar.
He worked with the Croatian National Theater in Mostar on the play 'Tena' (directed by Bobo Jelcic) and then for a year and a half as an editor of a children's radio show in Mostar.
In 1997, he went to Sarajevo to study at the Academy of Dramatic Arts (acting) in the class of Professor Admir Glamocak. Drago Lazetich was an award-winning director, actor, scriptwriter, editor and producer. He was born in the former Yugoslavia and grew up in California where he studied theatre arts and acting techniques such as The Method and Meisner. It was there he studied with the legendary filmmaker Roger Corman.
His web series Wise Hit (2009), a kungfu comedy produced in China, kicked off the careers of its emerging actors and crew.
Lazetich worked on numerous film and TV productions; said to be well over 60. He played the lead in the Hong Kong/Slovakia/Czechia co-production Shanghai Story (2024). He appeared in the Chinese blockbuster The Eight Hundred (2020) which grossed over US$450 million worldwide.
Little Milo (2018), a short film which Lazetich wrote, directed, and edited had success in international film festivals.
Drago Lazetich died unexpectedly of a heart attack on 7 January 2023 in Sydney, Australia. He was 58 years old.
